It is pricey, but a great experience overall. Food and service was excellent.
It was amazing!
As a belated birthday dinner with friends melting pot never disappoints. Great time great food.
Melting pot was top notch as always
A great meal with a twist. This would be a great restaurant for a special celebration.
We felt the experience was a little rushed compared to previous visits. We were surprised to find out the waiter did not let us know gratuity had already been included when we were paying on the mobile pay device so we felt we far over tipped because we did not know.
Our son has Celiac disease and is gluten free. I have made numerous reservations for our family of 4 on Open Table and had a table with two burners. We sat down and I immediately said to our server that we didn’t have two burners and that this would be a problem. I explained that this meant we would have not have two choices of cheese, desert and cooking styles of meat given that we are paying $90 x 2 for all four of us (our children are older). He did not respond and simply asked for our drink order. I was not happy but had no choice but to stay where we were - we were super hungry and we were celebrating my birthday which was the day before. We explained to the server that we needed gluten free for our son and requested gluten free for everything since we had to dip all of our items in the same fondue pot since we only had one burner. When he came with the cheese fondue without gluten free bread, luckily I questioned him about the dippers being gluten free. He then said he thought we only needed the fondue to be gluten free. I then had to explain to him that all our items needed to be gluten free to prevent cross contamination. He then said that he wished he was “gluten insensitive” himself so he could” understand it better”, he also said he was “not used to people ordering gluten free”. Your servers need to understand the difference between non gluten preference and a food allergy like Celiac in which my son’s intestines become inflamed when exposed to gluten. They also need to understand what gluten includes - wheat, rye, barley and malt which is why the beer type added to the cheese fondue is very important. Our bill is always over $200 whenever we eat at MP for the four of us. In the future I will request on Open table to have two burners so that we can safely have more options in our fondue choices.
We went to the Melting Pot for our 1 year anniversary and there couldn’t have been a better place to celebrate the special date. The booths were very cute and comfy, server was ready to assist the moment we sat down and we were regularly checked up on to assure satisfaction. The courses were absolutely stunning. From the cheese fondue opener to the chocolate fondue finale, there was nothing to complain about, everything was so good and it was really interesting to cook your own food. We will definitely return to the Melting Pot and try other fondues as well as cooking styles. Thank you Melting Pot for the full experience.
The waiter did not eat our food up before we got it on the table and did not explain to us that we needed to wait even further for the cheese to melt, or the oil to heat up, therefore we were halfway through the cheese before it got really ready to eat. I thought maybe they had just change the recipe but it just wasn’t ready. Also the oil was not hot when they brought it to the table so when we put our food in which he said we could do immediately it just sat there and oil and got really greasy and the tempura batter does not work well unless the oil is hot when the battered food hits the pan. Greasy mess. Also the carrots tasted like they had been bleached. Also one of my favorite sauces is the teriyaki, unfortunately someone had mixed in hey sweet and sour sauce with it so it tasted odd. When we asked him to check and see if they had the teriyaki, it was about 45 minutes before we found him again and it was only once we had gone to the manager and asked for our check. We opted not to get dessert because the experience was so bad. This used to be one of my favorite places to go out and have conversation, however the last few times it has been like very dumpy looking. Slow and inattentive service and expensive for the experience.
We love The Melting Pot! Wasn't crowded. The food was delicious. Our server Eric M was on point, attentive, informative, but easy going. We will return..
Great experience. One of her favorite go to places
Had a great time. Experienced great food in an awesome atmosphere.
Just great! Always a great time and great food. LOVE that the wine flights are offered.
We come here every so often since my wife loves it. We had a really great experience this time with the Thursdate menu. Thanks to Eric, he was an amazing server and very cordial as well.
Valentines
We are lucky enough to live about 30 minutes away and eat here about 5-6 times a year. The food is served and plated wonderfully and the drinks are lovely! I recommend the Melting Pot Mule. The Melting Pot is perfect for a date night or special occasion for 2. I have gone as a group, but enjoy the one on one experience better. It takes about 1.5 to 2 hrs to eat the 4 course meal and I absolutely recommend all 4 courses because they are unique in their own way. If you skip anything, skip the salad. The servers are professional and knowledgeable and the management is attentive. It’s worth the price to go and many times if you sign for the emails, they will notify you of great specials!
We had a great first time experience at the Melting Pit. The food was full of flavor and the service was exceptional. We have decided that the Melting Pot is our favorite new restaurant in town.
As usual Melting Pot was delicious and wonderful. Everything was covid safe. The server was friendly. We loved our experience!
Seated for over 30 mins before we got drinks and over an over before we even got our cheese. Normally it was 15 minutes every time we asked for anything. The cheese came out thick and cold and the waitress even said it didn’t look right. After another 15 mins she says let me make some more. It was then another 20 mins to get more Horrible experience. No manager ever checked on our table. We were there for 3 hrs and spent $150 not including a tip.
Took my girlfriend out for her birthday. We got The Big Night Out 4 course meal. The food was great and the dessert was even better. We really enjoyed cooking food at our table too. Also the service was amazing as well. Couldn't ask for s better experience to be honest. If you have never been before it's definitely a good choice! Side note: It took around 2 hours to eat.
Comfortable and socially distanced environment. Enjoyed the food and the service. Will definitely return.
The food was very good. The server Mike, was awful. Never checked back between courses. Like never. We sat down at 8 so I’m assuming he wanted us gone. So anytime we needed something like a drink or more dressing it took upwards of 10 minutes. This place is way to pricey for that kind of service
It’s always a pleasure and special treat eating here. This time for a double birthday. The waiters get better and more pleasant each time we come. Food is incredible.
My fiancé and I love The Melting Pot and it’s always an amazing experience when we go. Would definitely recommend!
Galentines Dinner special was a perfect excuse for my girls and I to get together. They had never been before and the pricing was perfect per person!
While we were all just happy and enjoying each other’s company and catching up our service was LACKING.
He brought our main course broth out with our salads to “start” to warm up. (Never experienced that before) Unfortunately it was some time after we finished our salads that he brought our meats/veggies/dips to actually eat. He would disappear when he was supposed to be bringing things “right back” (drinks typically) When asked why he was disappearing he blamed it on “stomach” issues.
I’ve NEVER had a bad experience at the Louisville location and the girls said it didn’t bother them but the fact he was so nonchalant and unapologetic about the poor service bothered me since it was my recommendation to my friends.
I’ll def be back as my fiancé and I dine often but considering it was my friends first “impressions” and he knew that. I expected better.
Other than that, as ALWAYS the food, dips and chocolate were fresh and satisfying!
Thank you for that!
We got a grill style of cooking instead of the boiling pot- it needed some kind of oil or something because the meat stuck to the grill pan. It was our servers first night and he did a great job! Paleo I ordered a cocktail and made a custom change because I didn’t want it “too sweet” and it came out so good, I got a second one!
The interior needs a make over. The bench seats are tipped and patched and there are some places where the fabric is ripped and you can see wood underneath- but overall we enjoyed our meal. They all wore their masks correctly and spaced people apart well. I felt safe.
We go here every year for my sons birthday. They did not disappoint. The server was amazing and the food wonderful. Can’t wait to go again
Birthday celebration and it was wonderful!
Very slow service; no water refills; rushed us through dessert because closing time was nearing. Had to remove remaining food from griddle because the waiter took so long to return to remove it and provide dessert. Given that we were charged a premium because it was New Year's, we'll probably not return on such an occasion. Very mediocre experience....
It was fantastic and even though we had to leave early the server was attentive and provided a great experience.
We celebrate NYE at the Melting Pot almost every year. It’s become a tradition. This year did not disappoint. All of the corses were excellent and our server, Melanie B did an excellent job!
Here is our favorite place for the special celebrations, we love the foods and ambiance.
Lovely experience worth every dollar. Food was exceptional.
Love the food and the service is always great!
The meals & cocktails were mediocre but deserts were excellence. I would come back for deserts only & nothing else.
My husband and I took our 12 and 14 year old daughters here for the first time. My 14 year old eats everything, but my 12 year old is very picky so she just ate off our plates, and we only ordered portions for 3 people. It was still soooo much food. Everything was good snd the service was great.
Great time, great date night, Melanie is the BEST server!!!
Amazing as always
So over priced. Food was flavorless. Refused us salt and pepper. Rushed us to order. Place was dead and now I see why.
The food was incredible as was our server, but it is very pricy to eat here. One thing I would change would be your music selection, which was WAY TOO loud. Why have loud music piped in for a romantic evening?
It was our 25 year anniversary, but the restaurant didn't do anything special for it, which was disappoointing.
