The Melting Pot - King of Prussia Ratings and Reviews
We made a reservation and arrived just before our time. However, we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. Once we were seated the wait staff experience was excellent! In the end it was a nice time...we’d gone for dessert only. Next time I’ll call ahead of the reservations to see if they are running true to the reservations.
I’ve been to Melting Pot in several occasions. This time it was my birthday. Everything was great until the check came: great table, fantastic food, good service... But then the server overcharged us. And it would’ve been ok except he said “you said it was ok to charge this and that”. I never said such a thing, nor did he ask.
Then comes the manager and said “it’s ok. We’ll remove the charge”. Hmmm... It wasn’t my fault. So why did she feel he need to come over and say that?? A simple “I apologize. Here’s the correct check would’ve been appropriate. But instead, I felt that both the server and the manager were hoping for me to say “oh I’m sorry. I must have forgotten to have agreed to your overcharging me”. It was my parents’ first time, and my birthday, and I left fuming. So much so I didn’t care to ask for my chocolate covered strawberries.
I can very well pay for a meal for 4. A $50 over charge doesn’t make a difference. But making it look like it was my fault and/or I wanted free food is insulting. This type of treatment really ruined the celebration.
I was a huge fan of Melting Pot. Not anymore. I don’t think I’ll be back.
Great fondue dining, but very pricey. We eat out a lot and usually spend 2/3 as much for a good meal. Ambiance is adequate, service was slow and we had to wait long periods for our waitress to wander by; however, the dining experience is unique and the food is quite good.
We had such an amazing experience here! We arrived 10 minutes early and we were seated about 20 minutes after our reservation time. We were fine with this because we wanted to be seated in a specific section of the restaurant. The lovers lane section is definitely worth the wait. We wanted that intimate space since we were celebrating a 30th birthday.
Our server Nick was AMAZING!!! We ended up getting the 4-course dinner and classic wine flight. We were happy and stuffed by the end of the 3rd course! The best part was the cheese (baked potato cheddar)! We’ll be back!
I always enjoy visiting the Melting Pot. I've never had a bad meal here. The combinations of flavors for the cheese fondue and the chocolate fondue are always new and interesting and the entree options are great. The meat is always fresh and everything tastes really good. I recommend trying the Coq au Vin cooking style (vegetable broth, burgundy wine, mushrooms, scallions) - it gives the entree food just a little extra flavor. The salted caramel toffee chocolate was amazing.
I can not say enough about the atmosphere, service, and menu. This was the perfect evening out with friends catching up. The setting was quiet and allowed privacy for conversations. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu options. It was not to have a relaxing dinner with no pressure of eating quickly. Highly recommend!!!!
I reserved a table at the Melting Pot for my wedding anniversary. It’s exactly the kind of place I would expect for the price. It is a higher price restaurant, but the food was well worth it and the service was excellent. Noise and atmosphere was about average for most places, maybe a bit quieter. I wouldn’t go there regularly but I would definitely consider it for special occasions.
It was our first ever experience and also the surprise dinner date for my husband on our anniversary eve... We really loved the food, the ambience, the fondue..... and specially my husband enjoys this surprise dinner date thoroughly.... I recommended the place to many of our friends.... absolute place to be with your loved ones
Totally blown away by The Melting Pot. My son took myself and my husband there for our birthday. First time for all of us. I wasn’t sure what to expect but couldn’t stop talking about it after we left. Food is fresh, fabulous and FUN!! Highly recommend fiesta fondue! I’m telling everyone about this place. Definitely worth the 55 minute drive & can not wait to return!!
