Very unique and cool experience, would definitely recommend. I enjoyed myself from the moment I walked in until the moment I walked out, by far one of my new favourite restaurants.

The food was good but the service was really poor. It was really slow for a small table of 2 and the server was told no sea food due to an allergy and when entree was brought to the table it had shrimp on the plate. Also had the girls night special when the bill came the server had over charged us on our bills.

Our server was so horrible. For the amount of money we spent we would have got a better service from a fast food place. She has no idea what green tea is. She poured the cheese all over the table. She gave the meat with no instructions how to cook it. We have been here before so we know but everytime we go here the server will explain everything. she gave the dips wo saying what it is. When she gave the dessert she did not even heat it up. We were waiting for more dippers first time we did not finish the chocolate fondue. The chocolate got cold. Also our cheese was so cold as well. She came and refilled our water and she spilled every glass she poured. My husband went and complained with the manager and he really didn't care. Just looked at my husband . Well with the economy of Alberta right now there are only a few families who can afford this kind of restaurant and for sure we are not going back here. Bad customer service and because of that our food did not taste right. Cheese too cold and chocolate too cold. Lastly she did not lock the hot pot for the meat when she grabbed it the broth spilled on my husbands jacket.

I requested a certain section to be seated in my reservation and mentioned it upon check in. At check in I was told my request was to be fulfilled. Then after waiting at the bar for our table for 20 mins, we were led to a table in a completely different and noisier section of the restaurant. The hostess who seated us told us the table we wanted was reserved for parties with a certain reservation. This ruined our evening. The melting pot used to be my favorite restaurant in the city and I have been there numerous times. However, the hosting service has been lacking the last few times I have dined there and this particular disappointment will stop me from coming back to the restaurant for a good while. We will be finding a new place to celebrate our special occasions from now.

Kudos to our waitress...she had a very difficult table across from us that took up a lot of her time. She was pleasant and efficient in spite of them. It was a pleasure to have her helping us out.

I have been here before with no problems on multiple occasions however when I went a few days ago, the service was terrible. The manager was our server to start with and took awhile to come over, he apologized and said the server was with something else. He then proceeds to take our order, bring us drinks and bring us our food to start. Shortly after the actual server comes, sais he will be our server and then walks away. We eat our dippers for the cheese fondu and have a quarter pot of cheese left - no server to be found. Our waters are now empty - no servers to be found. Eventually the server came back and we were able to get new dippers, he never did bring us water. We decided to end our meal way earlier than expected due to the terrible wait times and service. Not impressed this time.

Excellent food. Great service. Wonderful atmosphere. The bar staff was fun and friendly while we waited for our table. Waitress was so friendly and knowledgeable. It was our first time there and she was able to assist us throughout the experience. Took our time and never felt rushed. Great experience. We will definitely be back.

I used to love it there but our experience on Saturday was surprising. The service was lacking..we had to wait a very long time between the cheese fondue and the next course. The prices have gone up since last time which would be okay except that the portion size went way down. The options for meats were not as good as all except two choices included pasta which would be awful at a fondue. They have gotten rid of the tempura batter which used to be the best. We used to get both tempura and sesame batter but they have apparently combined the two which did not work at all. And pano crumbs is not a good idea for fondue...we had extra fruit and 3xtras for our cheese and I was not full at that whereas before I could barely get down any dessert . Speaks to the difference in portion size. Very disappointed...and more so when we got our bill...for 4 people $280.00 before tip...and I drank water, my husband drank coffee . $8.00 for a beer is Alitalia much a well ...so only one beer and one monitor for drinks...still expensive. Not worth the money anymore.

Though the experience was interesting and worth trying something new. There was little value in food quality vs price. Also the overall feel of the restaurant definitely did not help justify its pricy menu.

We made a reservation at least one month in advance and requested Lovers Lane, we were not told it was not a possibility but when we showed up they seated us in general seating. We spoke to a manager and all he said was it's not guaranteed. No one told us that when we booked a month ago, if we knew we were in general seating we wouldn't have booked for our special occasion. I was quite disappointed. A booth close to us was very loud so we struggle to enjoy our experience.

On a more positive note our server was amazing

Everything was delicious form the appetizers, main and of course their desserts. I just dont understand from a business perspective why they only have one location when you know a restaurant like this could easily be a franchise.

The portion of food you get for two people is enough for one people specially paying 140$ for very sad, plus cooking it urself is ok but not if it’s 3 pieces per person

Really romantic and nice ambiance.
Food is unique and flavourfull.
Our waiter was really nice, so as all the staff.
However, our diner was way longer as expected, like being told that dessert will be there in 5 minutes and wait half an hour instead.
It is expensive, but it was expected

The food and service were amazing as usual, however I was pretty disappointed because I had made my reservation back around September/October and I had requested one of the smaller/more intimate tables. I was surprised when we were sat at a huge table that was meant for a party of four. I didn’t want to say anything because it was a busy night and I didn’t want to be a pest.

This was the worst experience we’ve ever had at the Melting Pot. The servive was awful right to the bitter end when our server was annoyed that we asked for the bill to be split. We can’t possibly be the only diners who’ve asked that, but you would have thought we asked her to cut off her arm. She talked badly about her coworkers numerous times and was irritated when asked to explain something and talk slower so we could understand (as there were ESL individuals in our group).

I've eaten here before and it was good however this time was awful. I had a reservation for 7:45 & they didn't seat us until 8:30! This was a Monday ta boot!!! Then the service was soo slow and we told them we wanted the Galentine's Day special and it took her 10 minutes to bring us that menu. We went for that reason. They had promoted it as a fun girls evening with people coming by with trivia well there was no trivia either. The dessert was the best part but it didn't make up for the long wait ( even with a reservation) and slow service. I just felt like they didn't deliver on what they had advertised. Overall, very disappointing! Would not recommend unless you want a very long date with ok fondue.

Took our girls who are 5 and 7 there for an early Valentine's supper. Our waiter was fantastic, and the food was great. For anyone wondering if kids should go to a fondue place - the answer is YES! They love it! Small pieces, food they like, and dipping things!

Ordered a 4 course meal. Had to ask for water 3 different times before we actually received it. Or sever was busy which wasn't an issue, he brought our second course as we started our first so my soup was cold by the time I ate it. What I found to be poor taste was that our server brought us the bill as we were eating the last course. Then maybe 5 minutes later came with a debit machine. We had to ask him to wait while we finished our meal. We paid over $160 for our meals for that price I would have not expected to be 'pushed' out the door. Avg time there is probably 1.5 hrs. Mostly waiting for them to bring the food.

Experience was different and nice- however had to wait 1/2 hour in the lobby for our table which was pre-reserved. Was greeted by the manager who explained in detail our different options for dinner. Had to wait a while till our server came to take our order. Once served , we ran short of the cheese fondue but no one came to re-fill it. The next couple of courses went well I guess as we got busy eating the salad and meats. We ran out of the dips again and then asked one of the other servers passing by to get it for us. Our server did a good job of the small sparkling fire at the centre during desert- but then again forgot to get the cake we brought in to celebrate. Had to wait quite a while to pay- all in all I think our server did a good job, it was just that he was maybe made to wait too many tables and hence couldn't please all.
