One our favorite places. We like the little "couples cubbies" - romantic and better isolated in COVID times - without compromise in service. The $95 couple package suited us perfectly, and our server was very accommodating and personable.
Online reservation system with email reminder a bonus. All in all, a lovely evening.
We visit this location every year when we come to the beach. Sadly this visit wasn’t up to par. I believe there must be new management. Upon arrival we had to wait for the hostess no one was at the hostess stand. We were seated and ordered drinks. It was 30 min before I got my wine. I had to ask 3 times as to where is was. It was another 15 min before we were able to start our 1st coarse. The vibe was just off. I also noticed the staff from the hostess to the manger looked disheveled wearing jeans and tee shirts which I thought was odd. Unfortunately we will not be back to this location.
We had Easter brunch. It was just what we needed...a quiet romantic date day! The server was super sweet. The food was delicious, as usual.
Great place for a romantic dinner. Food was excellent and you won't walk away hungry. Awesome wine selection and the bar is well stocked. Be prepared to be there for at least two hours. The meal comes out in 4 courses. Our service was lacking abit because they were training a new server. All in all a great experience!
Don't feel valued as a customer. Food was excellent. Manager could use some Ritz-Carlton training.
Service was very po
Felt like our waitress was trying to rush us.
Wonderful meal! Everything was excellent, great food, great server, great drinks!
Unimpressed. Service was not good. Water glasses were empty. Small food portions for $45/person. Cheese fondue - not enough food to dip for party of four. Not enough chocolate dip for desserts. Will not be back.
I’ve never been to a melting pot before. I left extremely disappointed. Really low quality proteins and super salty seasoning/sauces. To top it off, paid $185 including tip for dinner of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids under 5) with 2 glasses of wine. I’ve eaten 10x better for 1/3 price.
Only redeeming value was the service was decent, and the kids had fun.
Service was not as good as we got in another locations. To many mistakes from the server (wrong wine, not cold enough, side vegetables for the fondue were too cold, bread was gummy.)
Additionally they bring us the check two minutes after they served the fondue. (There just a few tables with people and no waiting line at all).
Our waitress was great but they obviously had given her too many tables. It took a long time-3 hour dinner.
Valentines Day. Everything great! Family with small children in our area playing iPad with music. Not the best but, hey. I'm glad the family was celebrating together. Madison, our server, was fantastic. My wife and I have gone on Valentines Day several years in a row. We love it!
Best place for a date night
Great service and fun experience, but pretty pricey.
Food was great, service was very slow. We were already finished with the appetizers when we finally received waters, and that was because I asked the hostess who happened to be walking by. Drinks didn’t come for another 15 mins. The server was very nice but we only saw her 3 times. Staff shortage possibility? But for a Saturday night, ridiculously slow.
The melting pot made a great night into something amazing. The food was delicious and the waitress did a great job showing off the different fondues. It is a bit expensive, but it was worth every pennie.
We ordered the big night out for 2&it was amazing!!!!
Wonderful derive experience.
Not much available for NYE in Destin... so took a chance with Melting pot.. haven't eaten at one in years... $50 prix fixe menu -- cheddar bacon cheese fondue -- good but reminded me more of a bacon queso .. a traditional swiss fondue would have been nice..., caprese salad .. was bland... -- teriyaki sirloin, was told another type of sirloin, but thought it was supposed to be tenderloin... duck. and shrimp... we did coque du vin broth... plenty of meat... duck was good.. shrimp wasn't the best... (especially for being by the sea)... we were supposed to get a glass of champagne/sparkling wine for NYE... but never got it... we ordered a bottle of wine.. that seemed to get lost somewhere... finally came out.. but wasn't on the final bill... so I let the waiter know.. they added it.. auto 20% gratuity which is fine.. but just felt the over all experience was lacking... as i've been to other melting pots in the past and they normally give a good explanation of each course and how to eat and cook it.. Dessert was a white chocolate with chamboard... and plenty of dipping items.. but again not explained what each were.. (we figured them out ourselves)... we eat out a lot.. and we had just spent two nights in NOLA with exceptional service and food... with about equal cost... if someone is going to grat a table.. we would expect extraordinary service... but I give it a pass due to this being a tourist trap town.. and most places in Destin are, unfortunately... below average service and quality... seems like people just don't care and it is sad.. b/c it is a beautiful area...
Its an enjoyable destination for date night.
The hostess and server were both very rude.
The quality of the food very poor
Also if you have 4 at a table you only get one pot so a problem if anyone has food allergies
Way overpriced for what you get
They need to get it together or there will be a very big hole where melting pot used to be.
This was my first time coming to the melting pot and I have to say it will be the last. I ordered some cocktails and they were NOT done correctly and tasted horrible . I had to send it back. Then I ordered a salad as an appetizer. Took forever coming out and by the time it did, the salad was wet soggy . The waitress blamed the kitchen staff bc “ it was his first day” and I didn’t think that was very professional. Waitress was rude and tried to bully me into getting the chocolate fondue but I was so displeased with my whole experience all I wanted was the check. Horrible way to celebrate a birthday .
I enjoyed the lovely diner for 2 shared with my husband of 23 years nice corner to ourselves was an added touch during the covid pandemic. Every course was awesome!! We shall return again someday
I loved having a little private corner and we had fun experimenting w everything served. Delicious 💕
Good night out. Great service although a little over priced for quality of the meat.
Took our kids here for the first time. We were on vacation so it was a special night out. Our server helped and gave very clear instructions and made it fun for everyone.
Great experience as usual. First time at Destin location, did not disappoint.
Awesome great Mother’s Day !!!
IT WAS VERY GOOD FOOD WAS FRESH AND GOOD ENJOYED IT
Just ok. Took forever to get our entrees and they weren’t busy
Always excellent customer service and quality food. We dine in every day we are in town for the food and the service.
Arrived early before the reservation went to the bar waited 10 minutes no one waited on us then finally a guy brought a menu but did not return to take our order. Then arrived at our table waited another 10 plus minutes to order a drink we had the four course plan they recommend food was decent just service was so slow couples on each side of us set down after us were done 15-20 minutes before us. It took over 2 hours to eat and we weren’t trying to rush but 2 hours was way to long doubt we will return.
Cheese and Chocolate fondue courses were superb. Be prepared to be there for a while (we spent 2 hours from start to finish). Our server was excellent, but didn’t care for the fact that our meal was around $100 for 2 people and we had to cook the entrees ourselves. We definitely will be coming back for the cheese and chocolate. The Yin & Yang martini was delicious- I had 2- so definitely a must try. I recommend this place for sure if you have the time and extra money.
Wish this melting pot made valentines more romantic. Need private booths I think to help set the mood!
The food was great. Only thing that kind of put a damper on our night was the service and the grill top. The waitress didn’t seem to know how to operate the grill top properly so for our entire entre we were being pelted with hot grease. The grease was everywhere(no exaggeration), in our drinks, our clothes, our arms and hands. On top of all that, we saw the waitress maybe once besides the 3 times she came with each course. We only got one refill for our greasy drinks and that was after we received our bill.
Probably the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Made reservations one month in advance and specified it was for a child’s birthday celebration but when we arrived we still got seated in the bar area. Sat for 20 minutes without anyone greeting us - despite the fact that we were literally right next to the area where waiters pick up the drinks for their tables i.e multiple servers saw us sitting for over 20 min with no water, drinks, food etc. I finally went to the hostess stand to complain and the manager that came to help was actually one of the exact same ladies who I saw helping waiters with their drink orders and literally passed our table a million times and saw us sitting with no water, or food, or service for 20 min. Apparently its more important to help others who have already been greeted and ordered their alcoholic beverages than it is to help customers who have obviously not even been greeted for over 20 minutes. She apologized and said that as a gesture of her apology she will move us to a table in the main dining area rather than the bar AND will ask one of her servers to greet us and wait on our table - incredible - clearly an over and beyond gesture of apologizing- (definite sarcasm here). At least they’re consistent in their - her specifically- level of customer service. The waiter that finally greeted us was very nice but the dinner entree absolutely not worth the price and tasted ok at best. Save your money, time and peace of mind and go somewhere else - especially for a special occasion because you will feel anything but here.
I didn't like the preset menu for Valentine's Day. Service was also significantly delayed between the entree serving and the dessert serving. We paid for the experience, more than the food. Other times, it's been great, but not on a holiday.
