The Melting Pot - Colorado Springs
Need to book at 9:30 PM?Other great restaurants with availability.
You should not allow a screaming one year old in your restaurant.
And the same for negligent, clueless cell phone addicted parents.
Do not allow cell phones in The Melting Pot ever and put family's with
small kids in a separate area. This is supposed to be fine dining, not
Chucky Cheese. They ruined our dining experience.
Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating.
We’ve been to Melting Pot’s across the country, but tonight just seemed off as far as service. The waiter was very nice but seemed very new and a little distracted.
Noah was an attentive, outstanding server!!! He was excellent!
We had a beautiful family celebration that was in a quiet, private booth with excellent service and delicious food. We were not rushed but allowed to stay and linger fully enjoy every course. Highly recommend!
I took my husband and 12 year old son here for Valentine’s Day. It was a set menu but had a lot of variety and the food was delicious. However, it took over three hours from the time of our reservation to paying the bill. The pace of the entire experience was incredibly frustrating and unbearably slow.
To start with, we were required to provide a credit card number to ensure we showed at our reservation, you would think they would adhere to reservation times. We were all present and checked in about 5 minutes before our reservation time, there were several other couples waiting to be seated. The restaurant was maybe 1/3 full but it took about 5-10 minutes for each party to be seated by one hostess. We were finally seated at 25 minutes past our reservation time. When I mentioned this to the hostess she did apologize in a half-hearted fashion.
After being seated it took about 35 minutes before we we were eating our first course (the woman sitting behind us got up to find the waiter, ready to pay for her drinks and leave because they had waited so long for their food, but he came around the corner with course 1 as she got up).
While serving us the 1st course, the server said his manager mentioned that we waited a while for our reservation, apologized and said they would make sure things ran smoothly moving forward. Despite that recognition and promise, we sat with the cooking broth boiling in front of us with no food for about another half hour, clearing took a while then dessert came out with good timing but waited another 20 minutes to pay.
Overall the food and table service was very pleasant but the annoyance of feeling like we were constantly told food was coming fast but waiting about 25-35 minutes for each course to be served was extreme, especially for a lunch service with a set menu. I would think, this is to streamline the kitchen and service work to expedite the experience, however, I think they were greatly understaffed and it showed.
The service was a little slow, the food was mediocre and they didn't do anything special for my birthday even though my reservation was made with a note about it. I have been to other Melting Pots and have had a better experience. I was a little disappointed. We had been there for almost an hour before we got our salad. That's pretty slow even for this type of meal. My favorite cuisines are slower style like Korean BBQ, sushi, tapas, brazilian steakhouses, etc. so I am used to this type of dining experience and it was STILL slow imo. It was over 2 hours for the lunch. That's a little excessive. And the way they cook the meat in liquid only results in a lack of a sear and a chewy boiled texture that doesn't lend itself to much. The lobster was the only good meat. The cheese was okay, but the accompaniments had been sitting out awhile so the top layer of breads were chewy and stale. The inner layer was better but that's pretty lame to leave our food sitting out and still bring it to us for a special meal or any meal at all really. My server was nice and attentive and I am not sure where the ball was dropped with the timing of things but the table next to ours was complaining about things taking too long and the hostess lied to them and told them it was because their table was being cleaned yet we had been sitting there a long time and the table had been clean when we were sat lol, so idk. They were having issues with other customers as well. It just seemed like an unorganized mess from the get-go. Waiting to be seated when the restaurant is empty and we have a reservation, then waiting forever for the server to first show up, then waiting forever for the cheese course, then waiting forever for the salad course, etc. it was just a lot of waiting for mediocre food. The cocktail was nice. It was a yin and yang design and tasted like ice cream and chocolate. But spending hundreds of dollars and the best part of the whole thing was the cocktail...
We love coming to the Melting Pot but this would probably be the last time. Came here on our anniversary and was sat out in the open not in a secluded area like last year. Reservations was at 1930 but didn't get sat until close to 2000, noone showed up to our table until about 2015. And it wasn't even our server, we didn't see our server til about 40 minutes after we sat down when our main course came out, overall very dissatisfied.
Overall the food and the experience was definitely unique and totally worth the value! My only teeny complaint was the costumer service of the front of house but the food and service by our waiter was top notch. My wife and I will definitely be coming back in the future to relive memories and once again enjoy the experience the Melting Pot has to offer! I 100% recommended it to anyone!
We always love celebrating special occasions at the Melting Pot. The food is always very fresh and the service is exceptional. We had Ryan as our server and he was attentive, pleasant and professional. It made our date night memorable!
We went on Valentine's Day. Our server was Rachel, and she was excellent. She was attentive to our needs, prompt in returning go our table, knowledgeable and accurate in making recommendations when asked. We will return.
Our server was great! She was very attentive and personable. The amount and taste of the food was just right . It was Valentine’s Day so they were very busy but our experience did not suffer as the staff did a great job
Waited 40 minutes past our reservation time.xxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
An absolutely amazing meal with outstanding service.
Family Valentine’s dinner (before the rush). We all enjoyed ourselves!
We've been here a few times, and always enjoy ourselves. The servers are always great, friendly, patient, fun. This was the busiest we'd seen it (weekend before Valentine's day) - the place was packed and we only noticed a minimal slow down in service. Wonderful as always!
Absolutely great evening! We had Ryan as our server, and let me day; we will be returning to this location for Ryan! Great night, great service. Just couldn’t complain about a single thing. :)
I love this place so I decided to treat my children to a girls day out. They absolutely loved it! Food and service was great as always, we will definitely be returning.
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend for a special occasion or just a normal evening dinner out.
Poor service and food that is adequate at best. The drinks, however, were excellent. If only they had come to the table before our food, not after and only after we asked where they were. Two courses brought to the table at the same time was weird. The manager was apologetic and very professional, doing his best to improve our experience. But it was disappointing overall.
Quite simply, Courtney offered us great service and the meal was excellent. The downtown location had plenty of available parking for a Sunday. The restaurant setting and ambiance was quite nice.
Ladies Night, out with friends. Was great.
Food was awesome, all the servers were on top of everything, clean restaurant, relaxing and fun atmosphere, great place to go for a date or night out with friends!
Went for their Endless Fondue Night, everything was excellent.
Not my first time at a Melting Pot location but first time at this one. Celebrating an anniversary with my girlfriend.
Even though I had made reservations in advance, we were stuck in the bar area. Our server wasn't polite, was rushed, when asked if he could turn the TV to the football game on CBS, had it done but then came back and said it was on KKTV (Denver) and not CBS. (When it clearly showed the CBS logo on the screen.)
I love the Melting Pot but the night was supposed to be special. All of the factors listed contributed to a subpar dining experience for us and and a subpar tip for our server.
Had a wonderful time as always. Great service and great food. Thanks for the anniversary champagne at the end of the meal!
A fun experience. I don’t care for the food. Quite expensive.
Birthday Celebration! Food was amazing like always! Service on point!
The Server Nicholas was great and made the experience what it was. We will definitely be going back and I’ll make sure to ask for him again. The food with the four course was amazing and can’t wait for our return. Thank you
We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation (we paid the $150 reservation fee a week prior). We ended up getting seated an hour after that. Our meal took another 2 hours. By the time we got to dessert, we wanted to leave since it was so late. The food and waiter were both awesome. We were disappointed that they overbooked reservations on a night they knew it would be busy (New Years Eve). While we waited that hour to be seated, it took us 30 minutes to get drinks at the bar since there were only 2 bartenders. It seems as if they were short staffed. Everyone was nice and apologetic, it seems like management did a poor job planning this night out.
Your downstairs in a basement. Very dark and crowded waiting area. We went during holiday time, so very busy and kitchen was very behind . Our server was trying very hard!
New Years Eve and also our Anniversary Dinner.
We have visited many times before. First time doing new years and we did love it as always. But we left hungry we were under the impression that the entrees were separate not a shared entree. But other than that it was pretty good.
Service and food was amazing
Love The Melting Pot got a special night out. Many choices. Very accommodating.
I didn't have a good experience. Server became angry and ruined everything. I left mortified and know I'll never return. Meat was chewy. Spent 155 just for meals...very disappointed.
I think the waiter worked very hard. The kitchen appeared to be unable to keep up. Very long wait for a very pricy restaurant.
Very fun and delicious! Did not feel rushed. Great place to celebrate my birthday!
