The Melting Pot - Brookfield

Past 2 times we've been here our cheese fondue has been runny and the quality of salads is a little disappointing. No one in our group would recommend the herb crusted chicken when getting an entree, just get the regular chicken. Would have liked more dippers with our chocolate. Very expensive, might be a place only for a special occasion depending on your budget.

I wanted to try something new for my husband since he would be working Father’s Day! It was a great experience, but not your everyday restaurant. If you loved like we did it will be your special occasion hot spot!

Pretty over priced for some boiled meat.

Cheese and chocolate fondue was good. Dinner for two will be about $120 with drinks.

We loved our recent experience at the Melting Pot in Brookfield, WI. The food was excellent, along with our waitress. However, we had a small unenjoyable moment when one of the “bus boys” came to clear our cheese course. The man made a comment to the extent of “wow, that must have been really good because you guys really cleaned that out.” As two “chubby” women, this was a bit uncomfortable for us. It certainly was not professional. My friend kept me from making a return comment. However, I wish I had talked with this employee about his comment. Overall though, we had a good experience and would recommend this location.

This is a wonderful place if you are looking to spend time, relax, and visit with friends or have a romantic evening! I would not recommend if you you plan to get a quick bite unless you get a salad (which are wonderful I had the ceasar). We did the 4 course fondue dinner with four people and spent 2 1/2 hours there. This had nothing to do with staff we were just having so much fun!!

It is a fun experience- food is always tasty and I think you get a lot for the value!

Solid birthday celebration. Food is good but you are paying for the experience. Felt sorry for our waitress. Manager messed up the order and we had to have them take it back/forth a couple of times. Gave us $40 off for next trip - wish would have done this trip!

Was there to celebrate my daughter’s 12 birthday. Made reservations for 8 and arrived 15 mins prior. Was told that it was still an hour wait even with reservations. The service once seated was great but the wait was ridiculous.

The first time we went it was fabulous, this was our second visit and we told friends how great it was and we were disappointed. Not only was the service slow because they were understaffed but they ran out of several vegetables including broccoli and asparagus. The waitress provided Us a pile of mushrooms of which I was the only one in the group that eats them. Finally she brought out some potatoes but they took forever to cook.

Had to wait an hour past our reservation time in order to be seated. Hostess was rude about explaining why there was a wait.

I don’t ever write bad reviews but our experience was horrible and it started with we had reservations at 6:15pm we arrived at 6:10 but did not get seated til 6:50pm. When we first arrived we were told they were “running a LITTLE behind and trying their best” so I figured it would be like 10/min or so. Not 40mins. We get seated our waitress was nice apologized we waited so long and said it wasn’t her fault which we knew it wasn’t and we weren’t going to put it out on her all we wanted was to enjoy the rest of the night. Our waters both had brown floaters in them and the water didn’t taste good! How is this possible? Our cheese fondu came out was wrong, waitress was sorry and brought us the kind we ordered. We didn’t make a big deal about it and she took care of it. The food overall we didn’t care for. We could over hear every table surrounding us complaining the entire time about everything. Our chocolate fondu tasted horrible we hated it, thought that was going to be the best part, we were so full and disappointed in the night we were not going to complain about the fondu.
The staff were very busy and you could tell they were all burnt out and just mentally checked out because they were under staffed. Someone told us there was a death in one of the families and a lot out sick. Which we took under consideration and we were very polite to all staff but we were very disappointed in the night we were very excited about. Our dinner time there we were there for 3hrs and 45min. We couldn’t wait to leave.

Food was great and our server Ross was very friendly and professional.

It was mine and my boyfriend's first time here and we had an amazing time. Our server Kristy definitely made our experience enjoyable and memorable. Would highly recommend! We will be back!

I came to the melting pot with a group of my friends for my birthday and we had a great first experience and we owe it all to our great waitress Kat. She was amazing and very accommodating to us.

I love the Melting Pot for the experience. There are many four course options to choose from or you can build your own entree list. I’ve tried a few different things there now and all taste great!

The meal was great, but I made a reservation and still had to wait 40 minutes!

It was my first time there and I thought it was a good experience. The server was nice and informative on the way to order the four course meal. The lighting was a little dark however, making it a little difficult for my parents to see the menu. Overall it was a nice dinner, although the bill was a little pricey. I guess that should be expected since it was the four course option. I would recommend trying if never having been there.

Our dinner took over 4 hours, our server was friendly but never around. The food was ok, but not worth the price.

We go to the Melting Pot once or twice a year with our teenagers. They consider this restaurant a huge treat. It is expensive, but lots of fun. Great for a group of families and friends.

We had a lovely evening out at the Melting Pot. Our server, Christina (Employee of the Year!!!!!) was wonderful, assisting us with a move from a booth to a table to more comfortably seat my 86-year-old mother-in-law. She gave a "recipe" to make fondue stuffed mushrooms - delicious! Manager Josh came by and checked in as well. We love the Melting Pot!

Always great service and food

There were 4 teenage girls as guests and they all said the food was okay but would not eat there again.

New server didn’t appear to be familiar with menu. Amount of items to dip in were fewer than past trips, with no offers to refill bread, apples, etc. Chocolate options are fewer and less extravagant than previous visits. Again, smaller dipper portions for desert. Charcuterie board was disgusting. Used to be a lot of great cuts but this time everything was fatty and of pour quality. Current menu is uninspired, especially at the holidays. Been coming here for nearly 10 years and questioning if we’ll ever come back after this latest experience.

Lunch deal over the holidays is a great time to go here. Cheese, salad, small entree, and chocolate for $27. Cheese is always the best part for us. Service was slow but server was nice. Just wasn’t around a lot.

Absolutely freezing in the restaurant. I wore my coat the entire meal. Had a great server JJ. As usual the lettuce in the salads were not very fresh, happens every time I've been there. Hostess could have been dressed more professionally. Also, the ladies room was absolutely disgusting and must not have been cleaned prior to open since we were there fairly early in the day. Strawberries for the fondue were very unripe.

I went to the Brookfield, Wisconsin, Melting Pot and we had Kristy as our server. She was outstanding in every way and made our family outing a wonderful experience. When next we do this we will ask specifically for Kristy again.

The food was very good and the service was excellent. Jake, our server was on top of everything.

It was our 12 year wedding anniversary and we have been going to the melting pot for the last 12 years and it never disappoints.

Our server Cat was amazing. Prompt and funny. But did not rush our dinner. Would be back for her alone. Except the food was also so tasty!

We went for a Halloween special that included four courses for $31. It was wonderful food at a great value. Our server was friendly and efficient.

By far the best service received. Our waitress Sam was simply amazing. She was welcoming, attentive without being overbearing, gave wonderful suggestions, and provided great conversation while serving. My wife and I usually try to make it to the Melting Pot at least once every other month. This was indeed our favorite date night solely because of Sam. Sam deserves all credit for this review and is a great asset to the company/restaurant.

Fun place for family night out. Something different for the kids to experience when dining out.
