Cheese fondue and chocolate fondues were really good! The entree was more work than we were looking for- we had to cook our own meat in the pot, and the tempura did not stick to the food at all. Our waiter was apparently very busy (New Year's Eve), and gave us a very quick/brief explanation of how long to cook each meat/fish for. Would help to have a written guide, because each one is unique. Also- it was a prix fixe meal, and was supposed to include a glass of champagne- the waiter didn't offer it, which was disappointing. We were full, so we wouldn't have wanted it anyway, but I thought he would at least offer it. We'd go back, but we'd skip the entree and just have the cheese fondue, salad and chocolate fondue.
Great for a quiet dinner or special occasion
Offers tables for two and larger parties as well
Must have reservations
Wonderful night out with friends and family! Lots of great options to pick from to make your meal perfect, starting out with cheese, then salade and on to the main course! Don't miss the desserts! Services is outstanding, friendly wait staff and very attentive. Not a cheap night out but worth every penny for the great food and fun!
Food and experience very good, but service can be spotty.
We have been to this restaurant numerous times and will continue to visit. We like to come here for anniversaries and birthdays. The food is always great and we have a great time. However, this last visit the service was not the best. The server himself was wonderful, but they seemed to be short staffed and our dining experience was quite lengthy due to this.
My boyfriend and I came for our anniversary and had a reservation. We barely had to wait and were seated within 10 minutes. Our waiter was Evan, and from start to finish we loved every minute of the experience! It was different, unique and so fun and the perfect way to celebrate. We were so impressed by how attentive and hilarious our waiter was as well! Will DEFINITELY be back and will recommend this place to anyone.
Overall it was good, service was very slow.3 1/2 hours for dinner is a bit much. I asked for the check when dessert was served, it took til after we were done to finally get it. Way to slow. Not sure I’d go back.
The chocolate fondue is fantastic. it's a family favorite!! when my niece comes to visit from Chicago it's top on her list!
Good place but pricey. Get the beer for the cheese fondue only if everyone likes beer taste.
We brought our daughter and fri nods for a sweet sixteen birthday. I had questions when I called to confirm reservations. They were not open yet and the manager ( man with an accent) brushed me off the phone so fast and did not give me the time of day. They opened at 5 pm and it was 5:30 reservation...still seated us late saying "waitress isn't ready!" What?? The waitress started out very attentive but then we didn't see her for the second half so we skipped dessert. Wayyyy overpriced. For 6 of us and no alcohol it was $268. You pay for your $35 meal and are charged $8.95 a person to dip bread in cheese. If you get filet mignon...you boil it in broth!!!! Main course food has no taste . Should have just done the cheese with veggies. Very disappointed. Will not go back.
I prefer going to The melting pot father cheese fondue, salad and chocolate fondue. Personally, I do not like cooking meat there as I cook at home every night. Also, I do not like the fact that the lighting is dim and you can’t tell when it is fully cooked. But, the salads are excellent and that chocolate fondue is phenomenal. I think the desserts are very fairly priced as they give you a large amount of items to dip in the chocolate. If you ask for extra fruit, they will happily bring it to you.
I took my son here for a special dessert night. It was very busy and we had reservations for 7:30. It was close to 7:45 by the time we were seated. The staff was great about keeping us informed. We ordered the S’mores fondue and really enjoyed that. We tried the cucumber/watermelon cooler and Mrs Claus 🤶🏻 martini. Both were very good! I’m looking forward to going back to try the cheese fondue.
With a party of six and a reservation, we had the 18% gratuity added to the check, not uncommon or an issue except for the fact the service was so horrendous 4 of our guests napped during the meal!
Our waters were not refilled, I was charged for a drink I never even got and it was so ridiculous how neglected we were that in mid-meal we asked for the check so we would not have to wait another 20min+ for the server or any server to show up again.
This was not our first time here but sadly the staff left us not wanting to return to this location again.
Wonderful Christmas Evening
Quite expensive for the food but it is more about he experience.
The food is good (and plentiful), but the seating for two is extremely uncomfortable. While quiet, the "tables for two" are tiny, walled-in booths where you have to cram yourself in sideways to sit. You wind up constantly banging your knees against the table support (which is right in the center of the tiny table) and kicking your dinnermate's feet with yours the whole time. The whole feel of the seating for two is claustrophobic and it's terribly designed.
Went with another family, everyone in the party loved the protein and chocolate parts of the meal. The cheese portion was yummy, but made some of us feel too full to enjoy the remainder of the meal. The protein selections were great. The kids LOVED to cook their own food and ate more than they normally would. Everything was very tasty. Service was pleasant but really slow (which we found odd as they weren't actually ycooking any of our food). We weren't in a rush, so wasn't a big deal. Will be going back!
Sadly we went here for our anniversary. We had to wait in a nearly empty restaurant for a reservation made for 5:30. We were seated in a cramped little corner next to the hallway for the bathroom so everyone looking to take a crap had to peer in at us first. The server seemed nervous and apparently had a large party that required us to wait 40 minutes for our main course to be served. When it was brought out I touched the seafood to find it at room temperature and asked for a replacement. The server was very nice and apologized but it was NOT supposed to be a 2 hour ordeal. The sucker punch was that I ordered the "kid" size entree and my partner ordered the "adult" sized "create your own" entree that turned out to be just a tiny bit more food than my half-the-cost meal. It would have been plenty of food just to get two kid-sized plates, had I known the difference. It was just a frustrating and completely non-romantic way to spend our 4th anniversary and I'm sorry that we spent money and time there. Part of the reason we went is that last time we had a chocolate fondue come out with garlic flavored nuts, which was disturbing, to say the least. We were offered a free dessert and instead of being smart and just getting dessert, I opted to do a romantic evening out. Ooops. Never again.
This particular experience was the best time I have ever had at this Melting Pot. The waitress was amazing and knowledgeable and accommodating. We love the Melting Pot and come about every six months, would love to come more often but cant because of the pricing.
My Husbad and I love going out to the melting pot always have a great time whether it’s just the two of us or we’re out with friends.
It is a fondue place. The food was ok but it is a little pricy for what you get. If you have a big appetite it may cost. It is a different experience to try at least once
Probably our top favorite! Great place to slow down and enjoy each other. Great memories.
So much fun! Our server Brianna was wonderful- so helpful with explaining how everything would work out and constantly checking in on us! We got seated right away, and the manager that night was so nice, coming over to make sure that the first course was up to our liking! One of the best and my new favorite restaurants! Can’t wait to go back (:
The host was extremely rude when we came in and did not display any type of friendly attitude to customers. We had a reservation made online and she rudely told us there were not tables available although we had made a reservation which didn't make sense to us. Wait staff on the other hand were fantastic. Overall great place just host set the tone for the night to be negative as soon as we got in.
We had a great experience. Our server was very nice and friendly he was very attentive and made sure we got what we need. Food was very good! Can’t wait to come back.
The restaurant was very, very loud. We almost couldn't hear each other when we were sitting in a booth together. The food was good as always but seemed pricier than usual for the girls night out menu. Our waiter was extremely slow and seemed like we were his last priority. One of the vendors was not honest with us. She sold my friend a bag that was supposed to be new. We couldn't tell in the dim lighting, but once we got it home we noticed that it was used and damaged. Would not attend another girls night.
My husband and I wanted a special evening. Thankfully the manager saved the night for us. The waitress had us getting our own drinks from the bar because she was not to found near our table. The cheese fondue was so salty and runny that we both thought we ordered salt soup. Another waitress tried to clear our table while we weren't even done. Again the manager did come along and made us a new cheese fondue and did check in with us. I felt rushed towards the end when the check was left before we hadn't even looked at the chocolate offerings. I am not sure that I would visit again. The first visit was amazing. This second one was barely saved.
Unique experience definitely worth a try. It's pricey, though, and our meal took a VERY long time from start to finish (over 2 hours). One of our guests uses a wheelchair and the seating is not great. Thankfully, she could transfer to a booth seat just fine and they stored the chair for us. Great special occasion place, although for groups over 4, there is some difficulty reaching pots on the other side of the table.
We were in a tiny secluded corner where we were left forgotten. Served VERY small portions of everything & had to order double surf n turf at a ridiculous price. I would not return ever. Waitresses young inexperienced & in a rush & annoyed with questions. Expected a nice experience but were left completely underwhelmed & hungry.
We were a party of 5 celebrating a birthday and what a great choice the Melting Pot was!! We had a booth which allowed us to have more flavor choices. Our waiter was very attentive and when it came to melting the cheeses and chocolate, he was incredible! Our group will definitely be recommending the Melting Pot to others and are already planning our next visit!
Great food , amazing ambiance and the staff is amazing
Lots of fun, kids really enjoyed it. We will definitely Be back soon
I have visited this establishment many times and have never had an issue. This time there was a bit of a problem. Our server was great at the beginning of the service but from then it was all downhill. We ordered drinks and extra dipping sauces and we waited approximately 30 minutes to get them. Each time she went away to retrieve an item we ordered from the bar I could see it siiting at the bar for extensive periods of time. One thought I had was to get up from my table and get the drinks myself. He attitude went from bubbly and professional to upset and distant. She may have been experiencing a bad day but she needs to understand that her attitude is what helps the customer return.
Overall a fun meal with tasty choices. We love the 4 course option of cheese fondue, salad, entree, and chocolate fondue. While the restaurant is known for its fondues, the salads are quite good. You need extra time to enjoy the fondues and selecting the morsel's that you will be dipping.
We've been fans of the Melting Pot for quite about ten years. While it's not inexpensive, it is a wonderful "special occasion" dining option because of the uniqueness of the the self-cooking fondue. The "Lover's Lane" option is particularly well suited to a gently-paced and intimate dining experience. We're even happier with this most recent dining experience as we noted the significant improvement this restaurant has made to its stemware. We used to refer to their martini and wine classes as "sippy cups." The problems of the old glassware (too small, too chunky) are gone as the new martini and wine glasses are elegant and grown-up sized. The Dark & Dulce chocolate fondue dessert was especially wonderful!
Went for the first time. 2 of us. 3 hours for 4 courses. Cheese fondue was average although dippers were good and fresh. The Caesar salad was below average. The sangria although came with a few cubes of ice was warm and was one of the worst glasses of sangria I have ever had neither one of us drank it. The sangria was $12 a glass. Filet mignon was tasty.the herb chicken was not. At that point the waitress didn't come back for over 20 minutes. We had no water and just wanted to move on with the course. We chose to Tuffy crunch chocolate fondue and again the dippers were out of this world. Although the chocolate was just a one step above Hershey's syrup. Overall I was somewhat disappointed I guess my expectations were far higher.... note to self.. have no expectations
This meal was such a disappointment. We waited 30 minutes for our table despite having a reservation. The bar was not crowded but had no seats at all, only standing, which was very uncomfortable. When we got our table it was right by the kitchen with lots of loud servers streaming past constantly, banging doors, and kitchen noises. The food was good and our server Betsy was attentive and nice, but that couldn't make up for a very loud and uncomfortable experience.
We had a reservation for 4 people on a Saturday night, and with only a few hours to spare had an extra person who wanted to join us. The person who answered the phone when I called to modify the reservation was very friendly and spent a good deal of time trying to figure out a solution for us. He took my phone number and called me back when he figured it out. The 5 of us had a great dinner!
We had a reservation for 8:30 and arrived at 8:15 we were told there were a few parties in front of us but we would be seated shortly, which was fine because we were early anyways. So we went to the bar area and had a drink. The wine was disgusting and old and must have been opened a long time ago and was just sitting around and was way over priced for a Moscato so a drink and 45 minutes later still no table the hostess was super rude and basically didn’t care that people had been waiting and never came over to apologize or say anything about the delay in seating at that point we left because we just knew dinner would have probably also been a disaster and didn’t want to be stuck there for hours and already were very unhappy with the level of service we received. I would avoid this restaurant at all costs it is poorly run and this is not my first bad experience there from a service stand point , after this I will never go back!
Extremely slow service and the food made me sick as soon as I ate it. Server did not explain anything to us as it was our first time. Def wasn't worth the $170. It was a three hour dinner. Way too long. Never again will I go here.
