We visit this Melting Pot pretty regularly. The last few times we have had issues with the service. In the past 2 weeks, we have dined here twice and both times had new servers. The new servers need to have some additional training. During this visit, we dined at 5:15 on a Thursday evening. The resteraunt was near empty when we sat down. Our server was VERY disorganized, her hands were shaking when she was preparing our cheese, she did not bring a rack to hold her tray with supplies to made the fondue, We had to move all our stuff over on the table
So she could set her tray down. She also dropped a glass of full soda, which I luckily grabbed before too much spilled all over. No refills were offered on our drinks unless we asked, and it took over 2 and a half hours to complete our meal since she was so slow. Our group was not large. We are two adults and a small child. Our bill came and of course it was incorrect. She charged me an additional $20 and then argued that it was correct. I asked to see the manager who did quickly make the correction. It is disappointing that for a resteraunt that used to be phenomenal, really drop in quality of service.
Came in for our Anniversary and everything was fantastic...Even though we had to cut the night short because my wife wasnt feeling great, I can not wait to come back!!!! From the moment we got there to our unfortunate leaving we were treated like royalty by both management and staff!!! Thank you so much for your hospitality you have once again become my wife's favorite reasturant. Autumn was our server and was absolutly amazing!!!! Her great personality and hospitality is the signature of fine dining...cant wait to have her wait on us again!!!! Thank you all so much😊
Had a great time here. Only complaint would be the new server was a little slow. There was a long waiting time between meals which could be a good thing since it's so much food. Forgot our last order of drinks, but we were not charged.
Great place for apps and dessert. If there for the full 4 course be ready to pay $$
Our service was terrible, waited forever between courses and my meal was wrong. I have been here several times and it always seems to be this way. We had a 6:30 reservation and didn’t leave till 9:30 pm. Our waitress was slow and unprepared. Just overall not a good experience.
Great spot for a nice dinner. Took advantage of the school vacation promotion to try it with the kids (6 & 8). Overall a good/fun dinner for the 4 of us.
I would say the overall experience was great. The only feedback i could give is the bartender on duty near the front door, needs a personality or not appear so snobby. There was a gap of about 5 minutes between arrival and being able to sit. I asked a very specific question about a drink to see if they made it a certain way, and she rolled her eyes and appeared annoyed. Other than that, it was fine!
One of my favorite special occasion places. But I do always wish there was twice as much cheese fondue and half as much chocolate.
Our server was incredible!
was awesome! Food was amazing. Definitely a place to go.
The hostess at check in was awful. There was no one at the hostess stand when we walked in, it took about 5 mins for someone to even realize we were there. Then when she showed up to her workstation, she said it would be a few mins before we were seated, and she disappeared into the back. 15 mins go by and she finally comes back and starts working on some paperwork. Completely ignoring us and the fact our reservation time has past. We finally get seated and everything from then on was great. Our waitress was wonderful and the food was good.
First time at Melting Pot, service was nice but it was very pricey for what you get. I'd recommend for a special occasion or friendly get together but I can't imagine dining here regularly. For two people with no alcohol, no special orders, and water to drink it was over $90. The first stage with the cheese and the dessert with the melted chocolate was a lot of fun and tasted really good, but the middle stage when you're cooking meats or vegetables was... alright. The food took longer to cook than anticipated, and the flavor is pretty mediocre. You're essentially boiling steak or chicken (etc) in a flavored water for a brief amount of time. It's not enough time to soak up the flavor like a stew, and there's no char or other flavor to help out so you're basically eating a warm, kind've soggy piece of meat. Also even in the cheese and dessert sections you're not getting fresh desserts or ingredients to dip, you're getting cut up rice krispy bars and french bread. I'd go again with friends but wasn't blown away.
My girlfriend and I had a fantastic time at this Melting Pot site. Our waitress was friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious, especially the cheese and chocolate fondues! Definitely recommend for a nice date night.
Made reservations here to celebrate an anniversary (highly recommend making a reservation). Couldn't have been a better choice. Parking appears to be a little limited, but I might have been missing a parking area. We arrived shortly after they opened knowing the meal would take a bit longer. Ambiance is great. Most tables are in their own little alcove area so you are "secluded" from the rest of the restaurant. We didn't even notice that by the time we left the place was full-we couldn't even tell in our own little area of the world. There are few tables in the bar area also.
Drink list is extensive and the restaurant has a full bar, so you can get whatever you want. I enjoyed a Valentine's Day special cocktail. It was delicious. We did the four course meal that includes a shared cheese, individual salads, an 2 entrees with a shared cooking style, and a shared chocolate. We shared the baked potato cheese- it was really good though I think I would try something different next time knowing the items they provide to dip- apples, veggies, tortilla chips, and bread. I had the French Quarter (Cajun) entree and my boyfriend had the Classic. French Quarter definitely the clear winner. The toffee chocolate to end was delicious-comes with fruit, rice krisipe treats, cakes, and marshmallows.
Service was attentive and almost perfect-just a tad delayed on the check ins and removal/delivery of the next course, but didn't ruin the night. In total it took us 2.5 hours for the full experience. This is an expensive place so plan so spend at least $100 for 2 people.
Love this place! Suzette the hostess is always welcoming, professional and knows our preferences. We dine frequently and have never had a bad experience.
The food is outstanding. This is a unique dining experience and great atmosphere for conversation.
Highly recommend you try....you will love the cheese fondue. Unfortunately, we have not had the chocolate fondue too frequently since we are full after the 3 course meal.
This is my favorite spot to celebrate our anniversary. It is such an unique experience that you can only get there. The staff is friendly and attentive but do not hover. The food is excellent and always so fresh.
