The server was sweet but definitely overwhelmed. The kitchen and cooks seemed to not be very kind to her as we had a few issues with food that she had difficulty resolving due to the kitchen staff. For the cost of the meal for 7 (actually 8 because my son ordered two meals), I would have expected the food to not be an issue.
Happy to be back after a long absence. Service was great. Lots of new people being trained. Food was good but more overpriced that usual. Especially since we cook it ourselves but still worth a very occasional treat.
We had a wonderful date night last night there. The food was amazing, good atmosphere, great drinks, lot of fun. Our server Cat (Catherine) was excellent, nice, friendly and very knowledgeable. Thank you for making our night memorable!
Service was disappointing. Food was good. Overall did not feel welcome. From the call because we were 10 minutes late on a Tuesday to the greeting and the below average service. They used to make the cheese and chocolate at the table, now it comes from the kitchen premade. Not the same as before. Probably will not be back anytime in the near future.
I have been to the melting pot many times - this experience was not stellar - they placed A party of four adults next to a table with children one that cried the whole time. That table would’ve been better sat up front near the bar where it was lighter and the kids could look out the window and have something to do. Our waitress was either new or very inexperienced, water glasses were not filled my granddaughter did not get the drink she ordered my daughter asked for a refill of water and a new straw did not bring the new straw did not clean the table between courses with spillage on the table did not clear empty glasses I could go on and on not a good experience at all.
Our server Melissa was fabulous!
After a year of lock down, this was a super fun was to have evening out with family, The fondues were delicious. The waitress - so friendly and accommodating. Never felt pressured or rushed. Just a great relaxing, fun dinner. Not your average food. we chose to get 2 cheese fondues, salads, and 2 dessert fondues. Everything was delicious.
I have been many times, and have really enjoyed the experience. This time I took my 10 year old grandson for his birthday. The whole reason you pay premium prices for Melting Pot is the show the waiter puts on mixing everything in the pot in front of you. Now they bring out a bowl of cheese, and a bowl of chocolate. Now it’s just way overpriced and definitely not worth the money. I spent $84 with tip for only the cheese and chocolate courses and 2 overpriced drinks. I won’t be back.
I really love the place! Excelente food , friendly staff . Can’t wait to back again.
The server Cat is very personable and accommodating, as was the hostess when we called to say we were late.
We love The Melting Pot and save it for special occasions. We were at the restaurant for three hours. It was longer than we anticipated and we had long waits in between courses. I ordered coffee with dessert but we finished dessert before the coffee came out and we had to leave. Still a good experience and our waiter was very friendly and we really enjoyed him. We were just there for too long.
The food was excellent (except the salad was wilted and slimy) but we had the worst service we have ever had at a restaurant. We always love going to the melting pot but idk if we will return to this one which is sad because it’s the only one super close to us.
Went for my daughter’s birthday. Have gone many tines before. Food was fair - chocolate fondue was a big disappointment.
Service was very slow - waiter kept forgetting to bring drink refills or take orders for the next course.
It is usually a fun night out, but I always feel it is one of the worst values for the money in the restaurant biz. Almost $300 to cook a small portion of food yourself.
Been there many times over the years, but that may have been the last time.
We had a great time for my partner’s birthday! The service was great.
Our experience was amazing! Our server Dan did was super attentive. He explained everything to us very nicely and even gave us recommendations on what to order since it was our first time. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone!! Perfect date night!!
Birthday for my daughter.
Very slow service. Very pleasant, but slow.. offered us extra dippers for dessert long after the fondue had burned while we waited for extra. Overall food is good, but way to expensive for what it is.
Josh and the manager (sorry cannot remember her name) were awesome and helped make my birthday extra special.
Rich is still trying to figure out how josh guessed his birthday.
People next to us had their phone turned on. Every time they texted (and it was a lot) you could hear the click click click. It was so loud, we asked the waiter where the noise was coming from. They took FaceTime call while at dinner. Seriously, who does that???? This was our first visit. The owner was delightful. The hostess could have been nicer but the waiter made up for it. It’s an expensive night out for sure but we enjoyed the food and the experience. Just wish we had a different couple next to us.... :/
It was my daughter I who went on Mother’s Day! From start to finish absolutely amazing! We will be returning
My daughter suggested this restaurant to celebrate her 8th birthday. She told me that this was the best birthday ever! The cheese and fondues are amazing. The main course selection is quite expensive and not as tasty (especially because you are cooking the food). Our Waiter was amazing! While the service was slow he made the night fun, made my daughter feel special and offered honest and tasteful suggestions.
Great service and food! Always a good time and fun!
Great service, our waiter was friendly and knowledgable - a unique dining experience!
Excellent experience, kids loved it!
The actual food and ambiance was great. It was the waitstaff that wasn’t up to par. We had someone who was new or newly returning (Hailey) and while very friendly and nice- she forgot about us quite a few times (and couldn’t do something as simple as open our bottle of wine, she had to ask for help). Between courses we were left waiting for at least 20 minutes. She forgot refills of water after asking twice. We asked a question about the dessert and she said she would be right back but we didn’t even see her for another 30 minutes- another waitress (Nicole) could definitely tell something was up and checked in with us. She grabbed our dessert and bill within 5 minutes, so I’m not sure why we were left waiting for so long. She also kindly gave us a discount which she didn’t have to do, but it did slightly help the situation. She’s the only reason why we would come back.
The menu is expensive (although I’m aware we are paying for an experience) so the waitstaff should definitely be more attentive and professional- I say that because the neighboring waitress had two very loud and long conversations with the table next to us, where she was cursing and also went into very personal details about her trying to get pregnant at 38. At least speak a little quieter.
We were there for almost 3 hours, when the dining limit is 90 minutes in MA and it wasn’t through our fault. We ordered our ENTIRE meal in the first 5 minutes and ate quickly.
Dining is still weird due to the pandemic. The service was fine but I could tell the staff has to limit their exposure so while we never waited for anything and our server took good care of us we didn't see her as often as we would have pre-covid.
Nothing against the restaurant it is what it was we still had a very nice anniversary dinner.
The waiter was great and the food was really good as well.
Experience was less ideal than usual. Our fondue main course was not cut properly so all of it was connected, which made dipping difficult. We requested pretzel bread, which our waitress acknowledged and "completely forgot" after 20 minutes returning. Our open table gift certificate did not process when it clearly indicates that it's made for this reservation. Overall, as frequent customers (we come around 6+ times a year), this was a disappointing experience.
Girls day lunch with my Mom and we had the best experience we’ve ever had! Daniel, our waiter was the highlight of our experience! He was able to give us suggestions along with a super friendly personality. When we do come back soon, we will request for him to be our server again!
loved the food and the ambience
The waiter was a hoot and enjoyed him
but great experience
Food and service were excellent. The restaurant has adapted well to covid guidelines and we were sufficiently separate form other guests. Great experience!
Appetizer and dessert are amazing, entree is alright as long as you don't overcook the meat. Cool experience and fun for kids.
Greeted warmly, advised of COVID19 protocols. Our waiter Daniel was excellent, accommodating food allergies seamlessly. A great experience!
Overall good, but expensive. Would definitely go back again every once in a while.
Always enjoy coming to this Melting Pot - the staff are super friendly, the music is great and allows you have a great vibe while dining, the drinks are crafted for unique design and they have a great variety for all types of drinks and of course the food is always fresh and the options are ones you wont find anywhere else.
I've gone to this location numerous times as a party of 2, we went as 4 this time and it was a huge mistake. They retrofitted booths built for 2 to have an extra burner. Those booths are not large enough for 4 people to do 2 separate pots at the same time. As soon as our main course arrived, one of the burners stopped heating entirely and after about 10 minutes of troubleshooting, we finally asked for help. They told us the burner was turning off because the pan was sliding around and pushing the buttons. Well if they burners were large enough for 2 plates, that wouldn't have been happening!!! Finally the manager came and moved us to a larger booth appropriately size for a party of 4 with 2 separate burners and the meal was saved. The wait staff relocated all our plates in 1 large pile - mixing utensils between all 4 of us (COVID???) and placing utensils used for raw food on our plates (which they specifically told us not to do??) and expected us to continue using it all. In all of this, our server could not have been more unconcerned about the negative experience we were having. Not a smile, not a sorry, not even a sentence to express understanding of our frustration. After we moved, the manager didn't stop by again to check in (wouldn't you at least make sure we were all set?) I'll probably go back as a party of 2, but NEVER AGAIN as a group larger than 2. They clearly just don't care to accommodate the larger groups. I feel bad for my friends - I raved about how great Melting Pot is and then encountered this disastrous night out.
The food was delicious! The wait staff was very busy when we went on a weeknight, so service was a bit slow.
Make sure you are hungry! The food was amazing and the expresso martini was a great way to finish the night.
The servers she was amazing
