Food was awesome, and great server! love how everyone works together all extremely pleasant from drinks at the bar to service at the table. Would go again! Quiet atmosphere too
The hostesses were absolutely incompetent and couldn’t handle a specific table request. When I expressed that the table that they seated us at wasn’t what I requested, their response was “well next time you need to use these exact two words in order to get that table”. Mind you, that was their own jargon for a section that I had never heard before so how was I to know? When my date asked if we could wait for an available table in the section we wanted, he was told that they’d have to make a new reservation for us (an hour later) and we’re very snippy about having to go tell the server they didn’t have us anymore. It is what it is and an hour later, we were seated where we wanted with a fantastic server. These hostesses just left a very sour taste in my mouth.
Fantastic! Delicious food and great service like always!
Food, drinks and service were all excellent
We got there 5 minutes prior to our reservation time but the hostess said we were too early and wouldn’t seat us yet. The person waiting on us was attentive and felt terrible that several ingredients for the salads were unavailable. No complaints about her. The food we did get was delicious. Dippers for cheese fondue was plentiful. Dippers for chocolate fondue was sparse, especially the fruit.
This was my first time here, and my taste buds were all over the place!! Everything was absolutely wonderful. I ordered a flirtini and an spinach artichoke cheese fondue with a side of vegan polpette.
We made reservations however arrived at the restaurant early. The hostess was very rude that we were early. We had a seat in the lobby across from the hostess stand.
I have a lot of patience for new staff, but they should definitely at least know what level to put the hot plate at in order to keep things warm. Our cheese went cold and stringy in minutes, when asked to turn it up our waitress did and then said we could feel free to do it ourselves.... definitely doesn't seem right.. What really turned us off though was the DIRTY utensils we got with dessert. Very visibly dirty with a chunk of food hanging off... which could be raw meet for all I know. At anytime this is highly unacceptable but especially with the possibility of contamination with raw meat and during a pandemic. Didn't even apologize for giving us dirty utensils. Unlikely to return.
The atmosphere and vibe at The melting Pot is one that is enjoyable and pleasant. The food is delicious, and served well plated and appetizingly. If you want to get the full experience, definitely recommend trying the full night out, or the big night out. Doing the four courses is worth it!
Staff was really new, slow service
Service a little delay
The all drinks was hot
Had no idea how everything worked and got no instructions we didn’t eat any of our dinner was a shame
I know it takes time and am comfortable with the usual 2 hours. However, this time it was 3 hours! Charcuterie board came after done with the cheese already and still charged full price. Servers did not know items on the board either.
We went to the Melting Pot for a late lunch at 3pm. It was very nice. The food is delicious especially the Alpine Fondue. The S’Mores dessert is also fabulous. Overall, a great experience!
Great service with great people!
Service was horrible. Arrived early for our reservation and was told we could not be seated early. The restaurant was literally empty. Once seated and greeted we immediately ordered our food. Our drink order took 30 minutes to arrive and our raw meat another 15 after that. 45 minutes in we were cookin’. Probably took us 20 minutes or so to eat however we didn’t see our waitress (and her handler) for at least 45. We were going to order dessert but the time it took for the waitress to visit us was so long we bailed on that thought.
Not sure what happened to this but the “experience” shouldn’t be waiting around for our waitress to visit and more about the food. Sad.
We love the Melting Pot but this past experience was disappointing. The cheese fondu is now made in the kitchen and our cheddar fondu was not properly mixed so it was greasy and gloppy. The alpine fondu was excellent as usual. The salads were damp and the lettuce brown. Our entrees and chocolate were good. Our server was dismissive and seemed to be actively avoiding us. Hoping the Burlington location improves as we love the Melting Pot.
TLDR: Mai Thais are rocket ships. Guaranteed great date if you like cheese and chocolate.
I love the melting pot. Some may say it’s gimmicky, but the experience is always predictable and I LIKE THAT. I know what I’m about to get into, each table is intimate and isolated from the rest. I like that from where you sit, you cannot see any other patrons. Makes it intimate and private.
There are 4 courses, cheese, salad, entree, desert. Every time. They’re all good, and drink pairings are great. I recommend getting a wine flight to get a new glass each course. I mean, it’s pretty much a 99% guaranteed great date as long as you both like cheese and chocolate.
My only complaint was the under-staffing. They were all very nice and accommodating but it was so obvious they were missing people. We arrived at 7:30 and didn’t get out until 10:30. Would have been more painful if we didn’t have Mai Thais to sip on the whole time.
Bonus point to the bar girl that poured us the booziest Mai Thais I’ve ever had. First stirred down mai Thai I was skeptical, but damn those Mai Thais took us where we needed to go FAST!
Food was awful and apparently the server no longer prepares the cheese fondue and chocolate fondue at table. Burners didn’t work and fondue was cold. When sought assistance from server, she lacked skill to assist and we had to try to find her. She was no where to be found yet the restaurant was not busy. The restaurant used to be great. No more. Very disappointing.
We love this place - it's just fun and different. But they seem to be having help shortages. It was a quiet Tuesday night and service was SLOW. You had to tell the server everything you might want as soon as he arrived because you weren't sure when you were going to see him again.
Very relaxing experience. Good service, good food and good drinks!
The experience was great! It’s something different. I don’t know if I would come back. Maybe just for fondue appetizers and desert. Not a big fan of the meal(grilling on the table) and I think i would like it better if we had more options of sides. Server was really nice and tables are very private so I like that.
Great for the experience, but the food was very average- definitely not worth the price.
Our first Fondue experience in many many years. We had the four course dinner for two and selected the Classic Alpine Cheese Fondue; The Classic Entree with the Bourguignonne cooking style; and the Flaming Turtle Chocolate Fondue. We had a choice of salads: I had the House and husband had the Caesar. We selected the same entree, but we could each have picked our own entree. We happened to like the variety on the classic. All was excellent! Our waitress was training a new staff member and both were lovely, attentive, and did a great job. There was a lot of food and everything was delish! Fun experience!
We went for my daughters birthday. Brought along their SO whim had never been or had fondue. It was so much fun , that is until they say a large party with a lot of little kids in our room and the noise level went off the charts. To the point where we couldn’t hear each other talk. They weren’t crying or anything just extremely loud, and that really out a damper on trying to talk to each other. But all in all a fun night
The server was sweet but definitely overwhelmed. The kitchen and cooks seemed to not be very kind to her as we had a few issues with food that she had difficulty resolving due to the kitchen staff. For the cost of the meal for 7 (actually 8 because my son ordered two meals), I would have expected the food to not be an issue.
Happy to be back after a long absence. Service was great. Lots of new people being trained. Food was good but more overpriced that usual. Especially since we cook it ourselves but still worth a very occasional treat.
We had a wonderful date night last night there. The food was amazing, good atmosphere, great drinks, lot of fun. Our server Cat (Catherine) was excellent, nice, friendly and very knowledgeable. Thank you for making our night memorable!
Great date night!
Service was disappointing. Food was good. Overall did not feel welcome. From the call because we were 10 minutes late on a Tuesday to the greeting and the below average service. They used to make the cheese and chocolate at the table, now it comes from the kitchen premade. Not the same as before. Probably will not be back anytime in the near future.
I have been to the melting pot many times - this experience was not stellar - they placed A party of four adults next to a table with children one that cried the whole time. That table would’ve been better sat up front near the bar where it was lighter and the kids could look out the window and have something to do. Our waitress was either new or very inexperienced, water glasses were not filled my granddaughter did not get the drink she ordered my daughter asked for a refill of water and a new straw did not bring the new straw did not clean the table between courses with spillage on the table did not clear empty glasses I could go on and on not a good experience at all.
Our server Melissa was fabulous!
After a year of lock down, this was a super fun was to have evening out with family, The fondues were delicious. The waitress - so friendly and accommodating. Never felt pressured or rushed. Just a great relaxing, fun dinner. Not your average food. we chose to get 2 cheese fondues, salads, and 2 dessert fondues. Everything was delicious.
I have been many times, and have really enjoyed the experience. This time I took my 10 year old grandson for his birthday. The whole reason you pay premium prices for Melting Pot is the show the waiter puts on mixing everything in the pot in front of you. Now they bring out a bowl of cheese, and a bowl of chocolate. Now it’s just way overpriced and definitely not worth the money. I spent $84 with tip for only the cheese and chocolate courses and 2 overpriced drinks. I won’t be back.
I really love the place! Excelente food , friendly staff . Can’t wait to back again.
The server Cat is very personable and accommodating, as was the hostess when we called to say we were late.
We love The Melting Pot and save it for special occasions. We were at the restaurant for three hours. It was longer than we anticipated and we had long waits in between courses. I ordered coffee with dessert but we finished dessert before the coffee came out and we had to leave. Still a good experience and our waiter was very friendly and we really enjoyed him. We were just there for too long.
Was pretty good wasn’t really thrilled with what I got for food I don’t think I made the right choices on the selection wish I had more help with that
The food was excellent (except the salad was wilted and slimy) but we had the worst service we have ever had at a restaurant. We always love going to the melting pot but idk if we will return to this one which is sad because it’s the only one super close to us.
