A one of a kind dining experience. My wife and I were seated at a small table with an L shaped seat in a little nook, however we liked the privacy. We couldn't really see another table so it was like a private room. We started with fondue (choice of many types), followed by a main course (3 different items for each of us from a long list) with chocolate fondue (many choices) for dessert. We had shrimp, scallops, salmon and sliced duck breast which we cooked ourselves in a pot of broth (one choice per table). The food quality was exceptional, the waitress set everything up and provided simple instructions for our part. 3 hours long. Amazing food but this was all about the experience.
Very disappointing service and the temperature in the restaurant was miserable! The food was good when it came but we waited so long between courses. There were times when we couldn't locate our waiter for 15 minutes! We had to ask him for more drinks or water, he never came by just to check on us. Perhaps they were short staffed that night, but it was very disappointing-especially with a $350 check. About the temperature--everyone around our table was perspiring-it was so warm in there. We asked for the air to be turned on, but it never got any better. It got to the point that our guests just wanted to leave they were so uncomfortable. I've been to different restaurants in this chain and they were good, so I'm hoping it was just a bad night for this one.
A little expensive but worth it!
Food was fantastic service was good but they had just implemented a new payment process and there was a lot of waiting. However I feel the issue will be relieved with time. Overall great experience and waitress was very personable. She made it very enjoyable.
My friend and I got two cheeses instead of a full meal, and they were delicious! The ambiance is always very nice and staff are always friendly.
Service is horrendous. The food is fine but the service really ruined it. We heard another server mention the restaurant week menu to a table near us... our server never mentioned it to us. Waited 45 minutes between courses. Never again.
We very much enjoyed our visit to the Melting Pot. It was our first time and Chris, our waiter, was very enthusiastic in his explanations as to how to make our choices and what to order. He was great! We had a gift certificate that was a bit older, but it was honored with no trouble. In fact the manager came to our table to help us get the best value out of our certificate. It was a very fun evening and we would definitely go back again. It is not an inexpensive meal, but the meal does take the evening and provides a nice time of conversation that a quick meal and a movie does not provide.
Our reservation was at 8:15. We had to go looking for someone to assist us. Finally at 8:40, we got to place our drink orders and start a very long dinner. As a result, we were there much later than we wanted, with work the next morning. And the restaurant did not even offer us as much as a complimentary drink. Very poor experience, will never go back and I would recommend not going.
Went out on a friend outing, we love going to the Bedford’s location. Staffs a
Ways friendly as well as management. Every time I bring someone new, it’s a hit and everyone wants to go back. We went on a night that was short staffed and a new server and our experience was still great! Food was great as always and atmospheres inviting always recommend this place!
Basically boiling meat was unappealing.. didn’t taste that good either. The sauces served with the entree were also disappointing. Our waitress was friendly. The cheese fondue and chocolate fondue were good.
I kept seeing facebook ads pop up for kids eat free with Adult meal.. So I thought might as well take the kids it will be a fun experience.... It was a nightmare... the food was awful ... the kids werent feeling it except the chocolate.... and the bill was almost 200 for a family of 4.... they charge seperately for the cheese, meat, and desert.... the meat alone was 80 dollars!!!!!! I almost had a heart attack at the size of the bill very deceiving how they word everything and advertise... horrible experience ... never ever wold I go back
We visit this Melting Pot pretty regularly. The last few times we have had issues with the service. In the past 2 weeks, we have dined here twice and both times had new servers. The new servers need to have some additional training. During this visit, we dined at 5:15 on a Thursday evening. The resteraunt was near empty when we sat down. Our server was VERY disorganized, her hands were shaking when she was preparing our cheese, she did not bring a rack to hold her tray with supplies to made the fondue, We had to move all our stuff over on the table
So she could set her tray down. She also dropped a glass of full soda, which I luckily grabbed before too much spilled all over. No refills were offered on our drinks unless we asked, and it took over 2 and a half hours to complete our meal since she was so slow. Our group was not large. We are two adults and a small child. Our bill came and of course it was incorrect. She charged me an additional $20 and then argued that it was correct. I asked to see the manager who did quickly make the correction. It is disappointing that for a resteraunt that used to be phenomenal, really drop in quality of service.
Came in for our Anniversary and everything was fantastic...Even though we had to cut the night short because my wife wasnt feeling great, I can not wait to come back!!!! From the moment we got there to our unfortunate leaving we were treated like royalty by both management and staff!!! Thank you so much for your hospitality you have once again become my wife's favorite reasturant. Autumn was our server and was absolutly amazing!!!! Her great personality and hospitality is the signature of fine dining...cant wait to have her wait on us again!!!! Thank you all so much😊
Had a great time here. Only complaint would be the new server was a little slow. There was a long waiting time between meals which could be a good thing since it's so much food. Forgot our last order of drinks, but we were not charged.
Great place for apps and dessert. If there for the full 4 course be ready to pay $$
Our service was terrible, waited forever between courses and my meal was wrong. I have been here several times and it always seems to be this way. We had a 6:30 reservation and didn’t leave till 9:30 pm. Our waitress was slow and unprepared. Just overall not a good experience.
Great spot for a nice dinner. Took advantage of the school vacation promotion to try it with the kids (6 & 8). Overall a good/fun dinner for the 4 of us.
This place was so good! I had a lot of fun on my belated Valentine's Day date. I had Erin as a waitress and she was so nice! She was very down to earth and very personable. I felt like she was a host at a home instead of a waitress at a restaurant. My favorite dish about this place was the cheese fondue. We had the loaded baked potato and it was amazing! I'm glad that someone's creativity help land it onto the permanent menu!
I would say the overall experience was great. The only feedback i could give is the bartender on duty near the front door, needs a personality or not appear so snobby. There was a gap of about 5 minutes between arrival and being able to sit. I asked a very specific question about a drink to see if they made it a certain way, and she rolled her eyes and appeared annoyed. Other than that, it was fine!
One of my favorite special occasion places. But I do always wish there was twice as much cheese fondue and half as much chocolate.
Our server was incredible!
was awesome! Food was amazing. Definitely a place to go.
The hostess at check in was awful. There was no one at the hostess stand when we walked in, it took about 5 mins for someone to even realize we were there. Then when she showed up to her workstation, she said it would be a few mins before we were seated, and she disappeared into the back. 15 mins go by and she finally comes back and starts working on some paperwork. Completely ignoring us and the fact our reservation time has past. We finally get seated and everything from then on was great. Our waitress was wonderful and the food was good.
First time at Melting Pot, service was nice but it was very pricey for what you get. I'd recommend for a special occasion or friendly get together but I can't imagine dining here regularly. For two people with no alcohol, no special orders, and water to drink it was over $90. The first stage with the cheese and the dessert with the melted chocolate was a lot of fun and tasted really good, but the middle stage when you're cooking meats or vegetables was... alright. The food took longer to cook than anticipated, and the flavor is pretty mediocre. You're essentially boiling steak or chicken (etc) in a flavored water for a brief amount of time. It's not enough time to soak up the flavor like a stew, and there's no char or other flavor to help out so you're basically eating a warm, kind've soggy piece of meat. Also even in the cheese and dessert sections you're not getting fresh desserts or ingredients to dip, you're getting cut up rice krispy bars and french bread. I'd go again with friends but wasn't blown away.
My girlfriend and I had a fantastic time at this Melting Pot site. Our waitress was friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious, especially the cheese and chocolate fondues! Definitely recommend for a nice date night.
Made reservations here to celebrate an anniversary (highly recommend making a reservation). Couldn't have been a better choice. Parking appears to be a little limited, but I might have been missing a parking area. We arrived shortly after they opened knowing the meal would take a bit longer. Ambiance is great. Most tables are in their own little alcove area so you are "secluded" from the rest of the restaurant. We didn't even notice that by the time we left the place was full-we couldn't even tell in our own little area of the world. There are few tables in the bar area also.
Drink list is extensive and the restaurant has a full bar, so you can get whatever you want. I enjoyed a Valentine's Day special cocktail. It was delicious. We did the four course meal that includes a shared cheese, individual salads, an 2 entrees with a shared cooking style, and a shared chocolate. We shared the baked potato cheese- it was really good though I think I would try something different next time knowing the items they provide to dip- apples, veggies, tortilla chips, and bread. I had the French Quarter (Cajun) entree and my boyfriend had the Classic. French Quarter definitely the clear winner. The toffee chocolate to end was delicious-comes with fruit, rice krisipe treats, cakes, and marshmallows.
Service was attentive and almost perfect-just a tad delayed on the check ins and removal/delivery of the next course, but didn't ruin the night. In total it took us 2.5 hours for the full experience. This is an expensive place so plan so spend at least $100 for 2 people.
Love this place! Suzette the hostess is always welcoming, professional and knows our preferences. We dine frequently and have never had a bad experience.
The food is outstanding. This is a unique dining experience and great atmosphere for conversation.
Highly recommend you try....you will love the cheese fondue. Unfortunately, we have not had the chocolate fondue too frequently since we are full after the 3 course meal.
This is my favorite spot to celebrate our anniversary. It is such an unique experience that you can only get there. The staff is friendly and attentive but do not hover. The food is excellent and always so fresh.
Great atmosphere. The food is good. Fun for birthdays and celebrations. Great for kids to have a dining experience that is involved in food preparation and learning to not cross contaminate their raw protein foods. Definitely a food "event", don't plan on it being a quick experience, it takes a while and is fun.
Excellent! Great service, food is always good. How can you go wrong with cheese, salad, meat, seafood and chocolate?! Plenty of options for every taste.
Great night for a dinner date. We had a lot of fun.
our waitress was great, but it was a long dragged out night. we had been a few times before and it wasn't this bad. our reservation was at 6:45 and we didn't leave until 10:00 - because it was that much time between courses. we didn't even get our first round of drinks until well after our cheese course was delivered. then it was at least 20 minutes after we finished our cheese course before the salad came... so, a bit too long just sitting there waiting
We celebrate my nieces birthday there each year and always look forward to returning
It was my 33rd birthday. I had a great dinner!
To start our server Jackie was just perfect in every way.She set the tone of positivity and pleasantness that carried through our entire evening. It was my fiance's 30th,he had a great time and was also impressed by the service we received.Thank you Jackie
It was dope. Heads up you’ll spend three hours through the four course fondue extravaganza but it’s the most delicious three hours you’ll experience.
I brought my wife and son here to try something different. We had a blast!! Great experience. We will be back soon.
Love this place.
This was not our first time at this restaurant but if it had been we probably wouldn't go back. We were seated at a table for 2 that had a very loud burner that was ticking the entire time. The server tried to get us moved to another table for 2 but was told they were all booked for the night(although many remained empty the entire time we were there). The steak portions have gotten smaller in the create your own. Our server was super nice but didn't ring our MasterCard gift cards in correctly so more of the meal had to go on our credit card and we now have partial gift cards. Overall not the best night out we have had.
We went as a family for my son's birthday. The kids loved the experience and the food. We were there for 3 hours, though. It was just so slow. My son is already saying he wants to go for his birthday. For a five o'clock reservation on a quiet night, I can't believe we didn't leave the restaurant until 8.
We had a great time at dinner with the fondue. It was interactive and fun. We tried a variety of things and enjoyed the service very much.
