Sooo! This is my go to Valentine's Day spot with my fiancée and I was soooo disappointed last night... our chicken meatballs were literally raw... when they took them back to "make new ones" pretty sure they just deep fried them super fast which tasted disgusting... our Mac and cheese noodles were hard as a rock and our mozzarella balls had NO taste... the only thing that tasted sub par was the side salad and my risotto tasted OK... nothing to rave about... I understand it's tough times and we're all trying to make money but I work hard too as a teacher and this was a waste! This is the meatball shop and the meatballs were Raw!
Amazing - they take safety seriously while serving up delicious meatballs!!!
It was great experience dining at The Meatball Shop UES. The staff are friendly and practice social distancing. Since diners prioritize safety these days, I’m glad there’s partitions Beto tables, temperature is checked prior to entering the place. The food was great. We ordered the meatballs (3 different kinds) in a bowl. Loved my polenta and mashed potatoes. It’s highly recommended!
Food was good. Service was a bit rush and short.
My sister heard about The Meatball Shop on Selena Gomez's cooking show. We had to try it. Did not disappoint. And all COVID protocols were in place. Awesome experience and food was delicious!
I had an excellent avocado taste. It would be my choice when I visit again.
Very good and fast. Perfect !
Outdoor dining experience could be improved, especially since it’s getting colder!
It's always a treat to eat at Meatball Shop - and it was great to come back!
Enjoyed the food a great deal. Fun place. Sitting outside was fine.
The chicken meatballs and tomato sauce were terrific! My friend enjoyed the fish special and the cauliflower was cooked and seasoned nicely. The side kale dish was just ok as it was not the freshest kale. The weight staff was excellent and the rose was quite nice!
We came to celebrate my brother in law’s birthday. Food was delicious as always.
We ate at the Meatball Shop for the second night that NYC restaurants were allowed to have 25% capacity indoors. They handled it really well, taking our temperature at the door and gathering our contact info for contact tracing.
Our servers were lovely and I have always liked the ambiance of The Meatball Shop, especially the music. However, the 6 mini chicken meatballs I ordered were mediocre. I regret not ordering the veggie balls. I super enjoyed the cauliflower, however, and my boyfriend said his pasta and meatballs were tasty.
The rose sangria is delicious, so all and all it was a good experience. Just don't think I will be ordering the chicken meatballs again.
We had a great time at dinner at The Meatball Shop - Upper East Side. We had a 3 year old in tow and the kids menu and ice cream cookie sandwich dessert were huge treats! I appreciate the spaced out set up as well and the service was very good.
Good food but they changed the vegetarian meatballs to white beans and they were much better when they were lentils... also some parts of the outdoor seating were very close to traffic on the sidewalk which made the whole taking off your mask thing to eat a bit uncomfortable...
It was great, very nice staff..................................
They’ve got the formula down and it delivers every time. Love the emphasis on veggies. Only comment is that I miss the old menu - too many new options. Ordering now a bit bewildering.
Outstanding service. Everyone so sweet and helpful. Delicious food and great value. I’d eat here every night just for their cauliflower alone!😊
Food was disappointing. We expected the quality to be better.
We had a very nice time at the Meatball Shop. The food was great & our waitress was very nice to us and checked up on us often. Ambiance and noise was suffice, have to cut some slack with the outdoor dining as it is hard for every business right now, but I thought they did a good job and we were not out in the literal street which added to comfortability. I would definitely go back again. Great place for a date!
Great food - only a few tables outside. Waiter was attentive. Sangria was delish.
Great food and service. Went with my kids (5 and 2) and they accommodated perfectly and the kids loved the food! Dessert was good too, my husband wants to come back.
Welcoming, fun, helpful staff, fun atmosphere, varied menu, great cocktails.
The place is deafeningly loud at dinnertime and makes you want to be anywhere else but there. The food has gone downhill--the tomato sauce in particular was quite sour. Finally, I find that they nickel and dime you (charging $4 for a kid's side of pasta which is a tiny tiny amount of food and charging you for grated parmesan cheese if you ask for it).
Very crowded. No personal space. Good food and service.
Capodanno, cibo ottimo e pasta al dente come in Itali
The only downside to the whole dining experience was getting the bill while we were still having dessert. I think the wait staff should always wait until the bill is requested by diners.
Great vibe and delicious fare! The kale salad was exceptional and the bowls were delicious - and huge!!
Everything was good! The one thing that bother me a little, it is the tables are really small and tight.
Simple uncomplicated spot for a simple meal. The meatballs and accompanying sauces were well seasoned and specialty drinks were good. Service was quick and friendly.
We were there on a quiet Tuesday night. The waitress was so friendly and helpful with questions! The food was delicious! We will definitely return in the future.
Always amazing.
We've been to the Meatball Shop many times before and this was our first really bad experience. There was a quality control issue with my son's food but we decided to stay anyway. We were surprised that all the manager did was refund $5 of my son's dinner. It will be a while before we go back, if at all. Unfortunately, it's a favorite of our son's. We'll have to try other places in the neighborhood.
The meatballs and service were great. I’d definitely stop in again if I happen to be in the area.
Great dining experience!
Food was great! We ordered the mozzarella ball appetizer and crab ball appetizer to start. The fool-aid was delicious! We were all happy with our meals.
New mom met friends with stroller. Going at 5 before the dinner crowd provided for a delicious easy dinner. Staff was so friendly and accommodating with my giant stroller!
I was very impressed with how delicious everything was. I had the Smash with pizza balls and it was amazing. The staff were very friendly and attentive.
Meatballs are average at best. Food average.
a few dolllars short of 200 for 6 people to have average meatballs over preboiled spaghetti. a dollar extra for a small portion of grated cheese for the pasta, preposterous, not that it's a dollar but that there's even an idea to charge for something so customary. my second time, second store, can't recommend
