Visiting from out of town, and returned here based on several great meals I had here in past years. Though COVID caused a few things to change I can happily say this place and the food are just as good as I remembered it.

We were in NYC to share it for the first time with a family member. It was more than 8 years since we ate at TMS. It was as good as the first time.

Visiting NYC and needed dinner after our time at The Met. So glad we found this place. Very tasty food, friendly and great staff, good atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Good food but too noisy and way too warm. They need an a/c or open windows.

Was so crazy excited to try this place and it delivered on all accounts. The service was amazing. The team understood and could recommend options from their own experience with the menu. The drinks were delicious and the overall vibe is cas’ with a hint of hipster and city highlights. Will definitely be returning.

Service was fantastic! Everyone was really nice and the food was delicious.

Lunch date with husband & daughter. Great for families. The kids menu was so cute, with simple & delicious choices, and a good selection of crayons. Also, our server asked about any allergies- which is so appreciated since our daughter has a few dietary restrictions.
We got the meatball trio - amazing, & the chicken parm hero - delicious. Finished off with a double decker cookie ice cream sandwich & espresso martinis.

We sat outside at night. It was cold and there were no heat lamps. Nevertheless, the food was excellent and the experience worked well for the entire family.

Amazing food and the staff is so professional. The team is consisent and friendly.

The meatballs are great - and filling (who goes to a meatball shop and orders salmon, anyway?). Happy that they've reopened.

I cannot truly give a rating because the restaurant was closed. Apparently this location of the meatball shop has been closed therefore I cannot truly give a rating. I made the reservation online and it was confirmed. I even got a text message the day before. We had gone to NYC for my daughter’s 16th birthday and walked many blocks to get to the restaurant only to discover that it had been closed. Very disappointed and upset. Needless to say we will not be going to the other locations in the future because of this incident.

Good neighbourhood staple. Hadn’t been back to the UES Meatball shop in a while. Service and food get high marks. We weren’t rushed. Will definitely go back more frequently.

I have been coming to TMBS since it opened, food is always good, and now as the menu has been changed a little it’s even better.

We had a lovely lunch outside at the Meatball Shop. Everything was very good... I could live without the big slices of celery in my Caesar salad, it was strange. Darling waiter!

Excellent food & service at a very reasonable price. The best meatballs anywhere, with enough other things for anyone to choose something else to eat.

Thanks to open table, I tried this place out although I didn’t order off the restaurant week menu. Since it was my first time dining there, I ordered the meatball sampler trio…a spicy pork meatball, a chicken Parmesan ball and a regular beef ball…all tasty and their sauce is also decent (I’m Italian, so I am spoiled but it’s passable). I also ordered a Caesar salad and it had a great homemade (I think?) dressing..very filling and I enjoyed the lunch. My husband could t join me, so I brought him home 2 servings of the $10 for 3 balls of the beef balls…he ate three already last night, and I’ll probably cook up some pasta over the weekend to enjoy the remaining 3.

Outstanding! Our table was ready when we got there! High chairs already at our table. Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating to our children. FOOD WAS AMAZING ALWAYS! Drinks amazing. Love the Meatball Shop.

Disappointed in this place. It looks like a promising ambience from the outside but the mood is quickly brought down by the chaotic staff and patrons allowing children to run around tables and throughout the restaurant. It took us 15 minutes to get water and then another 20 before we were asked for our meal order. It was weird when the waiter made us feel dumb for not understanding the menu. Looking forward to going to other places on the upper east side.

Had a birthday party there - it was awesome!

Ok for families with kids. Was hoping for better food.

We sat indoors because it was chilly. Thoroughly enjoyed The Meatball Shop! Just delicious food and hospitable service. Ordered rigatoni with classic meatballs and basil parmesan sauce, and it was yummy! Good-sized portions too! And any restaurant that has Ample Farms Creamery ice cream is okay in my book. Just delicious, and there are other choices if you aren't a meatball fan.

It was a tasty little spot with some varying takes on Italian cuisine.

Nice outdoor seating area (weather permitting), delicious food, and great service!
