Nice restuarant in the Theather districk. Staff is attentive, food is good, a bit noisy.
Fun place to meet friends, but hard to hear one another!
A fun place with charming staff and good food. Excellent fish and chips. We will return.
Great before a show. Food was really good. Good variety
Great Happy Hour; awesome sliders. Acoustic performer Derek Dempsey was performing - awesome talent. Staff is attentive and courteous. My Sisters and I had a wonderful evening and are sure to visit again when we are in town again.
We were here on vacation from Austin. We wanted a place close to the hotel with atmosphere and good food. The Mean Fiddler did not disappoint! Great food, service and drinks. We loved it!
Mean Fiddler is my go to place when I’m with carnivores and vegetarians. They good is delicious and the menu satisfies all appetites.
Great service and great food.
The food was well presented and tasty, arrived quickly. However, it was nothing special. The service was actually quite abysmal. We had to wait to place our order, waited to get another round of drinks, waited to get our check, and then were shorted on the change. The place wasn't even busy. I watched our server just standing around dreaming, while tables were waiting for her to wake up.
I absolutely loved the cauliflower tacos
We came in from Ohio to watch the OSU Vs. ttup, which is a huge game where we are from. We met family from New Jersey that we don’t see that often and we stayed here for hours. Luckily it wasn’t that busy and we took up about five tables. The food was good, and the service was alright. The only issue we had was the feeling of unwanted towards the end of our visit there. We did stay for the entire game so I understand we may have overstayed our welcome. But it seemed as if we were getting looks from waitresses. But that could be misunderstanding.
Service was great. Food delicious. Appetizers and entrees well timed.
My group had a wonderful time at the Mean Fiddler. We had the grilled chicken wrap. Food was very tasty . We would return to this location. Restaurant is in the heart of the theater district.
Very nice spot for a meal before a show. The service was very good .

Lunch here before theater. Food was excellent. Dinner plate special was pork loin with mashed potatoes and roasted veggies of broccoli cauliflower and squash. Also a nice light gravy and caramelized onions on pork tenderloin. Shepherd s pie was also enjoyed and the wraps were very good. They have many beers on draft and other special drinks. It was nice and quiet and out of the hustle and bustle of New York. And service was very good. We were a party of 5 and everyone was very pleased with the food and value. We will be back!!
Great burgers & fries! The sriracha cauliflower tacos were so good and perfect for the vegan at the table. Service was friendly and very efficient. Love this place!!
We had an amazing time at the Mean Fiddler for our friend Jackie’s 50th birthday. Great food, drink and service. The band were amazing, the Diddley Idols, we danced all night.
Cute place but food way to much burger 15.00 come on understand great location but 4 ate for 125.00
Lunch pre theatre. Great food. Staircase was very steep.
Very good food, near the theaters, service wonderful
Will come back again!
The staff very very friendly and helpful. Meal was great!
Grabbed a bite before an 8 PM show. It's a pub environment, so expect it to be on the loud side. Our waitress was super friendly, attentive and efficient. The drink selection is wide as you'd expect if that's important to you. The food was excellent. I had the sliders, which were cooked exactly as I ordered and were outstanding. Food selection is equally wide as the drinks. Prices were a pleasant surprise, on par with those outside NYC. Overall, we had a blast. Highly recommended.
This was our second visit to The Mean Fiddler for lunch. We enjoyed the food ( especially the Shepherd’s Pie) and the service was excellent.
Came to this spot to meet up with old friends. The food was BOMB, the entertainment was great, and the drinks delicious! I would come back for sure!
Great food, reasonable prices and attentive /friendly staff.
It was close to theaters and time square. Menu included items adults, teens and children found appealing. Waitress was awesome! Was a bit noisier than I’d like.
We were looking for a restaurant in the Theater District for lunch before a Broadway show and one of the four of us is gluten free. The Mean Fiddler has several appetizers marked Gluten Free plus they offer gluten free buns for their burgers. We started out with drinks and had their Broadway Pop cocktail which is Oxley Gin, elderflower, lemon and bubbles and tasted delicious and glasses of wine. Our gluten free friend ordered the potato encrusted chicken fingers from the appetizer menu that was definitely a large enough portion for a lunch entree since it came with 4 large chicken tenders , 2 of us ordered caesar salads with grilled chicken and one ordered a burger. All the food was very tasty and we all agreed we would definitely come back again.
Perfect before a show! Family night on Broadway and wanted a tasty dinner that didn't take forever. We actually arrived early and were seated right away as they weren't busy. Service was great - I'm not giving him 5☆ is because he didnt come back to check on us, ask about additional drinks, or dessert but then again he didn't hover and push us out the door. Food was delicious and hot and the atmosphere was laid back and great for groups. Would definitely go back.
Great service, friendly staff, good food. We were in NYC for weekend, we really enjoyed this pub.
Great place to eat prior to a Broadway play. If you like Irish pubs and good Irish food, this is the place to go. The service was prompt and staff was very friendly.
Amazing food, amazing service. Only one negative was wobbly tables, had open flame candle that we were nervous would fall over and drinks kept spilling.
Fun and food was good! Good place to meet friends for drinks and food!
Amazing as always :)
This is our "must go" place as far as my teenager is concerned. Great burgers, chicken pot pie and Shepard's pie. Super kind and knowledgeable staff - nice bar selection! When live music is going it can be hard to have a conversation but just request a seat further away from the action.
The place was our 1st stop when we arrived in New York. Aine was a fantastic bartender and had multiple recommendations. The food was great, the beer selection outstanding and there are multiple TV's and great music playing during our time there. We will be back...
Fantastic location if you’re seeing a show! The vibe, the service, and the food were all amazing! Delicious fish & chips !!!
Everyone loved it...beef and tuna burgers were standouts as were the guacamole and potato crusted chicken fingers...server was a delight
An EAsy place to grab lunch before a show. Service is friendly and efficient but not pushy. The food is good ( excellent steak sandwich) Drinks- delicious.
Going to a concert
There is a vibrant bar scene with ample choices. The food is nothing fancy and appeals to the young set
