The Mash Tun sits beside the River Spey, nestled in beautiful Aberlour. Recently refurbished, it is now a stylish boutique hotel. This historic establishment has been transformed into a beacon of Scottish hospitality, marrying tradition with contemporary luxury.
Our small restaurant offers fine dining without the fuss and a cosy and intimate ambiance.
The whisky bar boasts a magnificent stock of Scottish malts, with a few guest stars from around the world and our own award winning Stalla Dhu range. We also boast our own cigar humidor where guests can choose from an impressive selection of Cuban and New World cigars, to be enjoyed in our enclosed and heated cigar hut!

Had a wonderful dinner! Was so cozy and food was amazing. Had the Venison Pie and the Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert and loved every bite!

The staff was very helpful and friendly, our dinner was lovely and sooo delicilus. You can take a walk near the restaurant with beautiful natural atmosphere.

One of my favourites, lovely food that uses local or regional sourced ingredients. I had a very tasty haggis and lamb Ragu. Followed up by a fantastic Glenfiddich whisky. Food is a little pricey, it would be nice to see mid-budget options on the menu, aporox. £15, especially as I ate at lunchtime; and tasting notes on the whisky menu.

A fabulous Sunday roast with all the trimmings in very pleasant surroundings. Close to the centre of Aberlour and walking distance to the river. We really enjoyed our meal.

We had an amazing meal for our anniversary. Our two dogs were accommodated and the staff were kind and attentive. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fantastic. Will hopefully be back in the future.

Excellent food and quick service but the experience was ruined by being asked to vacate the table after only one hour and ten minutes for another booking. The venue is not therefore recommended for an open ended convivial evening with friends.

We stayed at the Mash Tun Inn and had a lovely time. It is on the higher price end for both lodging and food but nice across the board. The staff are friendly and attentive. For the price range it would be nice to see air units added to the rooms for better ventilation.

Staff was busy talking to each other instead of taking care of guests. The starters tasted well and service was still good. We called them to ask if we could still come a bit later at 8.15pm and they accepted. But when most other guests were finished with dinner, they forgot about us and were doing tables for breakfast. Also chicken was dry and too well done, two frozen tomatoes in the salad and hardly any salmon in the salad. The manager did apologize but that was all.
