Everyone was friendly and service with a smile. We have stayed here too a couple of times and the rooms are definitely 5* and the Breakfast is of top quality using local ingredients. We usually visit about seven times a year and I can assure you we have never had a bad meal. The selection of drinks are excellent too. We did notice however that our selection of Rums we like were dwindling much to our disappointment, we did mention this to one of the Staff members as this is one of the reasons we visit as we know both Food and Drink are to our pallets…. Please can we make a request for the return of Westerhall No 3 and No 5. We both had Cockles and Sourdough bread from the Nibbles Menu, the bread was warm and light and excellent tasting. From the Starters Menu My Husband had the Scotch Egg, he said was very tasty, I had Scallops with Black Pudding to which the scallops were cooked on point again a wonderful tasting dish. For mains My Husband had the Barnsley Lamb Chop and I had the Lemon Sole both excellent and would order again. For desert we ordered the Strawberry and Elderflower Trifle and Lemon and Lime Cheesecake, both beautifully presented and delicious. The menu is a lovely choice of interesting choices, unlike the all too familiar chain restaurants in the UK! The food quality is excellent along with the presentation. Equally, the customer service experience of the all the restaurant staff is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble and they are quick to rectify any food order misunderstandings. We would definitely return to this restaurant as and when heading down to catch the Eurotunnel shuttle the following day! A great experience all round.

Beautiful location and pub! Service was 10/10, very tentative staff with a very homely attitude. Food was delicious, well presented and certainly tasty! Excellent wine list to compliment the flavours.

A really fabulous experience. 6 of us dining and it was exceptional service and food. One of our party has complex allergy requirements and the wonderful and friendly waitress was knowledgeable, patient and advised on each course. Food was the best around and highly recommend. Thank you

Great decor. Well balanced menu. Recommend the Calves Liver! Great wine to accompany the food too. Finished the day off taking in the views on the terrace. Worth the visit l

This is a great place for a drink and a meal. Lovely waiting staff and a chef who went out of his way to accommodate any requests regarding allergies. We've had two great celebrations here. However this time we decided to go as there was an offer on for children to eat for £1. The terms and conditions offered on the email were clear and matched what we saw on the socials. However, when we received the bill, this had not been applied and we were told that it was an a-la-carte order only and not a set lunch. This was not stated anywhere within their marketing communications so we felt a bit cheated. It's disappointing as it was a lovely experience. I would say generally be clear with the T&Cs for offers you may see in the future but in this case there weren't any! I would call ahead and then decide next time. A shame.

Incredibly friendly staff, very welcoming. Excellent choice on the kids menu for our 10 year old - first time he has ever polished off 3 courses in his life! The roasts were epic and delicious. A completely enjoyable family lunch from start to finish.
