   The food was delicious although a little underwhelming for the price tag. Portions were decent, fish was fresh and I appreciated the use of what was available - exactly how local seafood should be. Service was mostly very thorough but at times disappointing. "Baked Alaska" was tasty but the flavors were unbalanced, the ice cream very crystally, and the portion was too big for even two. A disappointing end to a fairly delicious meal. The german sparkling wine - a sekt, which is hard to find outside of Germany - was by far the highlight.

   The Market Restaurant on Lobster Cove has a limited menu that changes daily with availability of locally sourced ingredients. We both had the lamb with the eggplant and fall tomato panade which was excellent. The buttermilk cake was great as well. We really enjoyed the evening and look forward to returning next season.

   Superb food, Pricey, and the noise level is a problem. But a special meal nonetheless.

   We visited on a rainy night but that did not affect the night. Small candles were burning throughout the restaurant which we found very welcoming. Staff were very friendly. The food was outstanding. Not the place to go if you expect a multi page menu - there are only a few options but each one sounding very appetizing. Two of us had chicken over polenta with grilled veggies and the other two had swordfish confit over pasta. We all cleaned our plates. We look forward to returning if we are ever lucky enough to find an open reservation. (The restaurant is small.)

   We had a lovely dinner at sunset. The service was excellent and the food was perfect. Not fussy or overthought, which I'm really getting tired of in Boston/Cambridge. Not over or under seasoned. We had the saffron pasta and I really appreciated the light hand with the saffron. It's usually overpowering when used in restaurants, but with lobster and lemon you need just a little. I loved the chocolate pot de creme because it was on the dark side and not that sweet. The creme fraîche on top was tart. My husband likes sweeter things and it wasn't to his taste. I had an excellent glass of sparkling white. I should have snapped a photo of the wine menu so I could remember what it was. This place is tiny so make a reservation. It's a bit more rustic than polished inside, but I was charmed. The menu changes daily and is very brief as is the case with many restaurants who cook what looks best that day. Do a few things and do them beautifully. I'll definitely go back despite the hour drive from Boston.

   Market is phenomenal! The menu changes daily and the food was amazing. We knew we wanted to try as much as possible as soon as we saw the options for the day. They also have a really nice wine and beer list. We loved how cute and simple the interior was. I'd love to come back earlier in th summer to sit outside on their porch. Can't wait to go back next year!!

   Without question The Market Restaurant is our favorite place during the summer. The setting is perfect. The staff is perfect and the the food is creative and delicious. The best food not only North of Boston but in the Northeast U.S..

    Market Restaurant is always a treat - the food is creative, tasty, and well presented. The service is professional and friendly. And the location is charming. Market Restaurant is very special indeed!
