Fantastic wine list
Perfect service
Impeccable service and delicious filling food. The staff here always makes you feel welcomed
Incredible service, attention and delicious food.
The Mark is better than I remembered. The delicious food and the amazing service just really made our day.
Service and food were amazing! looking forward to returning.
Food was served at room temperature
Broccoli rabe bland and cold forget the chili flakes and lemon zest , lobster burger not hot, service was very good
A great disappointment to all 8 of us. The food opinions ran from run of the mill to poor and some was delivered at room temperature rather than hot. The service was mediocre. I had indicated it was a birthday party, but there was no recognition by the staff.
Disappointing
The best as always in every way
We go a lot!
The quality of cooking has dropped significantly since I last went to this restaurant in September 2017.
It took 2-1/2 hours to deliver 2 J-G Hamburgers and a Veal Milanese. Service, which is pleasant, sort of dies in the middle of dinner, once the order is placed. Very expensive.
Service not attentive food not worth none.
Sommelier excellent
Wine list was crazy expensive. Food was very good. Service was great. We enjoyed our time but we were bummed at the $700+ bottles of wine on the menu. Cheapest wine was $90. We would eat there again for a special occasion.
Excellant as it always is.One of our favorites
Customer service was first rate; staff very attentive especially since we had a 19 month old child with us. Dinner, lunch, and breakfast options excellent.
I eat often at the Mark . I like atmosphere of relaxed elegant atmosphere and good food and excellent service
The appetizer was served at the same time our salads and main courses. The table wasn’t big enough for all the plates and no attempted to help us. A few of the orders were messed up and not one speck of dressing on our Caesar salads. Extremely disappointed.
As always, perfect dinner with great food, setting and service. Hamid is the best!!
Great service, very good food, great ambience
A perfect evening. The food and service were excelent . The evening was a little pricey but I guess worth it. It was a special evening.
Outstanding and attentive, unobtrusive service coupled with a delicious menu yielded a wonderful dining experience, one not to be missed
Butternut squash soup with mushrooms was both original and exceptional. Brussels sprouts with pecans was equally inventive and tasty. Nice restaurant and exceptional service as the entire group works for your dining pleasure. Sour cream cheese cake was either a disappointment or poorly executed which is likely since everything else is very good, so good, the good overcomes a misstep.
I love The MarK, They have food for all types of foodies. Big choice. ,It's causal yet classy. The tables are not on top of one another. Noise level is good,Service is good and the food is good. Good night had by all. Love the Mark.
Very disappointed, especially because of our fond memories of a dinner here with friends several years ago. On our recent visit we were again entertaining friends, and had booked well in advance through Open Table, but instead were treated like a last minute arrival with no reservation. The hostess sat us at a bar table, with low chairs and no tablecloth, outside the main dining room. When we requested a proper table, we were then taken to a location squeezed next to the kitchen door, as the main dining room appeared to be too busy to accommodate us. Enough effort on that front, we accepted our noisy, busy location and moved on. Next came an interminable wait for service. No one took our guests’ drink orders (my husband and I had already ordered drinks from the very nice bartender- probably the only highlight of the evening). The oysters were great, but the rest of the food was not. A soggy, soaked in dressing salad and a $50 tenderloin ordered medium that arrived so well done I could barely cut it. The first bottle of wine we ordered had turned, however the sommelier insisted that it was fine and that he had tasted it. His boss later tried the bottle and agreed with our opinion, at which time we ordered another bottle. This endless dinner stretched for almost 3 hours, at which point we had to ask for the check, rather than enjoy coffee and dessert with our friends. It is not fun to plan a special occasion, spend a lot of money, and feel taken advantage of. We will not return The Mark, and instead try some of the other high end restaurants in the neighborhood next time.
This restaurant is strong on food and strong on service. We love going here.
I love The Mark. It’s one of the few great places on the UES. Terrific food, service and ambience.
We LOVE this restaurant. The food and staff are top notch.
I had heard a lot about how wonderful Jean Georges' restaurants are. We went to The Mark for their prix fix menu on Valentines day. It was 150 a person for an appetizer, entree and dessert. The food was mediocre and I found they used fresh truffles to try and account for a lack of flavor. The fresh fettuccine with truffles was woefully under seasoned. The chicken dish was gross almost tasted like a wet sock. The only redeeming part of the night was the dessert. However at 150 a person, I could have bought several cakes and enjoyed them.
The waiters themselves were very kind but the manager who was taking care of us left halfway through our service, delaying our later courses and did not inform us this was happening. We waited about 30 minutes between our entree and dessert courses. I just found this place to be immensely overrated.
Always a great experience and the food and service excellent!
Everything you'd expect from a Jean-Georges restaurant. Top notch service, beautifully presented and delicious food, and elegant decor.
always a good time here. it was packed and busier as the afternoon went on and so the servers had many demands; they handled it well.
We can't say enough about how great our experience was. The staff were warm and welcoming which really sets the tone. Our cocktails and food were delicious. Looking forward to be back.
Try the lamb baeckeoffe - It’s a special item they serve in winter. Amazing!
My gf really loved the design of the space. Our experience was exceptional thanks to our lovely server and the delicious food. Can't wait to be back.
Lovely restaurant in UES. We love the decor and the service was one of the best we've had. Our food was amazing!
Jonah was our server. He was excellent and attentive. We were celebrating a 50th birthday and obviously chose the best spot in New York.
Delicious! Great place to be able to have a conversation and outstanding food. Service is the best / they check in when needed but also allow you the luxury to talk and enjoy. For dessert I highly recommend the Profiteroles which are spectacular! It is pricey but, if you don’t mind the expense it is worth every penny.
An oasis in the middle of Manhattan. Makes even a New Yorker feel like they are on vacation!
Food doesn't disappoint! Excellent service!
My table was situated at the entrance of the kitchen, almost every single service coming in and out for the kitchen from the waiters were bumping into my chair - it was so annoying.

I am a regular at The mark , it has always been a good experience.
This time the service was very mediocre , and this clouds the whole dinner.
On top the dessert was a disaster, it was overdone.
