The Marine opened in May 2008. We have four luxury suites all with either sea or harbour views. The bar serves a range of exciting and delicious cocktail drinks, expertly mixed and served by our trained bartenders. We also serve a range of champagnes, wines, spirits, beers from around the world and fruit juices. Our bar serves fresh, local Seafood prepared daily for you to enjoy in a relaxed atmosphere with some of the best views in Whitby.

The fish was outstanding, overall a very good price range for the quality of good served. The pianist in the evening was good but a bit too loud to be able to hold a conversation.

The food & service were as excellent as ever we have eaten at the restaurant many times & would definitely recommend it as the best in Whitby. It's a little expensive but well worth a visit

The food was amazing...shellfish linguine, scallops, cod, oysters!! All first class and unbelievably fresh!! The piano entertainment was great even for us!! ( we were the youngest there at age 40!!) waiting staff were attentive. Location is excellent. Cost was very reasonable considering the amount of seafood we ate and wine and beers!! Loved it!!

We have been visiting The Marine for a few years now, each time we come on holiday to Whitby. It's always good food, good ambience, and lovely staff. Reading previous reviews from other people I can't understand why they say the staff are not always good? We have never had a problem they are always pleasant. They check your meals are okay, they will willingly get you anything you ask for and are always busy. Please visit at least once so you can decide for yourself..... it is really a meal not to be missed!!!!

We love going to the Marine on a Friday night when Johnny is at the piano singing for all the guests & as we arrived, he was singing a song we requested before, it was magic

Nice cosy restaurant, Starters oysters and scallops were lovely, would have liked something a little extra on the plate with the scallops rather than just the scallops. Seafood pasta was loverly and plenty there. Cheese board was limited and oat biscuits a little too thick and dry... recommend an extra cheese crackers and grape's would be great option. Music was great and made the atmosphere. All in all great and would return.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Marine and once again we had an excellent time. The room was superb, the food great but most importantly the staff were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make sure our stay was most enjoyable. Thank you Steve & Carol Thomas

Food was very good but spoilt by poor service. I specifically requested a nice table as it was my husband's birthday and booked well in advance and actually were given probably the worst table in there. Also, felt very rushed, the waitress asked us twice what drinks we wanted and twice again if we were ready to order. Shame, as food was very good.
