    Wow what an amazing find. We were going to Sidmouth for couple of days for my partners birthday and I was googling places to eat and found the Marine. It had good reviews so thought I would book it for the Tuesday evening of my partners birthday. So glad I did. We had a stunning meal. Right on the seafront, very friendly and attentive staff. I had the trio of fish which was on the specials board. Was delicious, freshly cooked, the waiter told us the fish was fresh from Brixham that day. The flavours, just wow. I had to the roasted thyme new potatoes and vegetables with lemon hollandaise. The flavours were just wow. Best fish dish I have ever tasted. My partner had the fish and chips which was delicious served with a homemade tartare sauce. Desserts were also lovely. Will definately return again when we are next in Sidmouth and would highly recommend the Marine to anyone.

    We were served promptly. Our food arrived in reasonable time. The portions were very generous. My Lemon Sole had plenty of vegetables tender stem brocolli, carrot, French beans. A very nice meal. My only slight gripe was that the Timothy Taylor Landlord was considerably more than a real ale in my local and that is not the cheapest in our area. On the other hand the cider and wine were very reasonably priced.

    The 3 Fish special was so tasty. Great food great value. And So far, the best IPA I’ve found in sidmouth (Brixton ale)

    The Marine is well located on the Sidmouth seafront with fantastic views of the sea the food & atmosphere are great

    Nice selection of well cooked food - our party had soup, Fowey Mussels, meat feat pizza and chicken and chorizo lasagne. All well cooked and decent sized portions. I had an issue with the small size of the portion of chips served with the mussels, I mentioned this to the waitress who immediately ordered an extra portion from the kitchen at no charge - excellent service.

    A really friendly bar with great food. We had a table that looked out on to the sea which was fabulous . Really enjoyed my crab salad.

    Nice place, opposite promenade/sea. Good food - pizza, burgers, specials 9mon fish, mussels). Dogs allowed.
