The wedge salad had thick slabs of bacon, tangy tomatoes and pungent chunks of blue cheese. We shared a steak and salmon, cooked medium, moist and mouth-watering. Southern pecan pie casserole capped off my birthday dinner and Dallas-to-Destin road trip.
Great dining experience. My server took good care of me making sure I had coffee refills and getting my food out to me quickly.
The Spanish home fries are always good and they came to the table right out the grease. My chicken and waffle could have been rated as excellent except the temperature of my waffle was lukewarm. But the tenders were really good!
The Manship is an impeccable choice of destinations. The menu was exquisite and service both delightful and charming.
Food was amazing and our server awesome!
The server was attentive, everything else was good
Went there for the rabbit ravioli but was sad to hear that it was no longer served. I tried the chicken tettrizinni but it wasn't great - not horrible but nothing special. I enjoyed the wine and smoked tuna dip & My BF really liked the redfish.
My mother, a friend and I went on a Friday night was first time for all of us and the experience was good. The server went out of his way to get my Mom (who has a lot of food allergies) a vegetable plate which is actually in the lunch menu. Margarita was fantastic. We will go back
Excellent drink menu. Redfish was outstanding. Crab fritters and pork belly very good. Never seen lady peas in a menu, and most excellent.
Celebrating our daughter’s passing her RN boards.
Parents in town to visit. Took them to brunch after church. Excellent meal. Best brunch in The metro area we have found so far!
It’s always a great evening when we go to the Manship. Always.
My family all loved it - We’ll definitely be back. Mojito was excellent too!
I took my mom here for her 80th birthday. She had the beef tenderloin and eggs. Everything was wonderful! Food, staff, atmosphere were perfect.
The experience was great. It was everyone’s first time visiting. The food was delicious and we loved that most of the food was state grown.
I always enjoy lunch at Manship. The service is very good, and the tuna dip is amazing and perfect every time.
What an amazing birthday experience for my boyfriend!! Our waitress was excellent and very caring. She answered all our questions with patience; because, we had lots of them. He ordered the Cowboye ribeye (but we were informed they were out of them, big disappointment for him). The roasted oysters are highly recommended. Comeback salad, filet mignon, catfish and shrimp linguine were simply mouth watering. The best thing yet... those desserts.. Don't skip the desserts!! You will regret it. Overall, our experience at The Manship was excellent and maybe the next time we visit they will have plenty of Cowboye ribeyes available.. because, there will be a next time!! Thanks, Manship, for making our night with his mom very, very special.
Dustin is awesome as is Barry
One of the best restaurants in Jackson, without a doubt!
Wonderful service and exceptional food.
Great dining experience.
The Manship continues to be one of my favorite restaurants in Jackson.
Great service. Delicious food! A must when you’re in the Jackson area.
Frederick was our server, he took good care of us. The food was excellent. I especially enjoyed the corn and jalapeño soup. My husband got the special, skirt steak and veggies. It was really good too. This was our third time to eat here and the food and services has been consistently good :)
Excellent and attentive service! I had the lunch special and would've liked two side dishes instead of just one...even if that means a modest increase in price. The food was very good.
The food was exceptional as is the usual situation here. I recommend thepork chop if you are having trouble deciding on your entree.
Excellent food!! Coffee was incredible!! Loved our waitress. Definitely will come back again!!
Steak was very very tough and not much flavor.
Great place to eat. The chef is amazing and the alcohol list is long.
It was a delightfully cool evening for July in Mississippi so we dined on the patio. The food was fantastic. I had the grilled shrimp. Husband had the steak, which was slightly overcooked but not enough to send back. We shared corn, lady peas and papas fritas as sides. of all things, the corn was the star of the show — summer in your mouth. Great dinner, and we’ll be back soon.
As always, The Manship offered a great menu for a dinner to treat good friends from out of town. One of our guests, who has traveled widely and is an accomplished home chef, pronounced the smoked tuna dip "the best I've ever eaten anywhere." Our entrees -- the oyster special of the evening, the redfish, and the salmon--were perfect, and the sides--spinach with garlic and lady peas, were wonderful. Our waiter, Dustin, was available when needed--observant and responsive while not interfering with our conversation. An evening at The Manship never disappoints.
it's not a bad place swapped servers after the drink order which I always find irritating. the food was just ok, the wagyu sirloin was really tough and stringy, the chicken was fine, the salads were mediocre. The whiskey selection was superb and the ambiance was nice - the server never came back to check if everything was ok with the food until about 10 or 12 mins in on the entree, didn't see her until the apps were finished. all in all, not sure id go back but it filled a gap.
I always like the Manship house. Really good food. A little pricey but not outrageous. Our server was super. Only downside is the place is loud and hard to pick up conversation.
Great food & service! Our family enjoyed the restaurant’s unique atmosphere. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to family and friends...
always wonderful food and service. Great place for lunch, dinner any occasion
Very good Jackson staple. Food is wonderful and sourced locally. The only variable for me has been the service. Sometimes great and sometimes not so great but the food is ALWAYS delicious!
Great, as always! The Manship is one of our favorite places to dine in Jackson.
Everything was fine until I walked into the restaurant. The person who looked up my reservations told me I had made reservations for only two people but I told her I had gone and corrected I thought on the open table site. She tried to say this would be a problem. My husband got upset and told her he was not about to beg someone to take his money and too many other places to go. I got a manager who got us taken care of. My problem was this was a time the Restaurant was not busy. I was treating my son with dinner who was in town for the holiday.
Very nice food. Not too fancy but yummy!
Excellent meal! Great for a date night. We had crab cakes, heirloom tomato salad, truffle/parmesan fries, gulf shrimp, baked macaroni, and roasted chicken- all were so good! Our server, Justin, was knowledgeable, friendly, and funny! We had a great time.
Awesome food and excellent customer service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I invited a friend for Sunday brunch and had a reservation, but was not aware that I had to designate the exact seat, so the hostess tried to seat us near the kitchen entrance. However, I waited and we did get a nice window side booth. I ordered one of the specials, which was a fried green tomato BLT. The sandwich was so dry, I nearly choked while eating it. I should have had the eggs benedict, but thought I'd try something new. Anyway, I hate to make a scene about bad food when I am out with a friend, so I ate the sandwich without complaint, but needed plenty of water to choke it down. Probably the thing that I was more uncomfortable with than anything was the very dirty upholstery! In all, the location and ambiance is great as there are so few places to go in the city of Jackson. My friend and I are medical professionals at UMMC and the VA, so we appreciate having a nearby option other than Fondren. Despite the not so good review, we will be back again for brunch and I will definitely order an old standard and sit at a clean table instead of a dirty booth. I suggest that you replace the booth with wooden benches or leather that can be cleaned and discontinue the driest BLT ever! Thank you. Sarah
