Lovely venue great setting.
Waiting staff were helpful and the service was excellent.
Food was great and we are looking forward to our next visit.
I have allready recommend it to other people.
Apart from there being no-one there to seat us when we first arrived, we had a fantastic afternoon with lovely food & great service. It was a birthday meal & they were happy to oblige when I dropped cake off the day before & brought it out when asked. Food was delicious, although had a bit of a wait, but it was Sunday lunch & quite busy and we weren't in a rush, so wasn't a problem.
Good Food but server didn't seem to know what they were doing
Amazing setting and in the summer I can imagine it to be unreal. Service was fab, the staff went out of their way to help us. The only thing that let it down was the food, very average. I would definitely go again but perhaps just for drinks.
Lovely service, lovely food and lovely waiting staff I'll definitely be back again ♡
Service wasn’t great. Confusion over drinks which I had clearly paid for.
Food was nice enough. Atmosphere quiet more of a local elderly pub.
We dined and had drinks.
Our food was presented nicely and was very tasty.
Service was prompt and the girls were extremely polite.
The surroundings of the beer garden were just charming.
Would visit again.
Food and service excellent. Got very cold though could have done with the heaters working.
We enjoyed a lovely meal for 2 sat in the beer garden. Ordered everything on the app and drinks and food came out to us in a reasonable timely fashion. The lamb shank was really nice although looking round at the lovely food dishes the BBQ menu looks like a must try for us next time. Lots of room in the beer garden with plenty of distance in between tables. Would definitely recommend for a nice meal out or a casual drink.
We received our mains before we finished our starters, my husbands meal was incorrect and we was not offered any condiments with our meal.
Awful service, we waited a long time for drinks and food. Terrible food, we ordred 6 meals, all were horrible. Really run down place as a whole. Garden is pretty. That’s it!
Very poor service. No menus provided, we were just directed to use a web site which was not very stable. Seemed very under staffed. One meal was cold and took a long time to replace. Used plates were never collected. Drinks orders were very slow.
3 of us were eating. 2 of us had our food together the 3rd person had to wait another 40 mins. We asked a member of staff to check where the 3rd meal was, but they never came back to us. Another member of staff eventually helped.
Everything was so nice the food was lovely it looked beautiful in the garden . Only bad thing would say is being put next to someone constantly smoking was disgusting when your breathing in other people smoke . It would be nice if there was a separate smoking area as for non smokers and trying to eat your food wasn’t nice
Hi Kelly, thank you for your feedback and I'm glad that you enjoyed your food and our garden. Based on your feedback, we have now made all tables in our canopy area as well as nearby tables non-smoking. We hope to see you back soon!
Rude staff, rude obnoxious managers and food awful..no atmosphere at all.
Only good thing was leaving
This place is so lovely in the sun. Really makes you feel like you’re abroad. The staff were friendly and quick with service. Food came out a bit cold but drinks were lovely and the atmosphere was nice!
It was so lovely welcoming and friendly would highly recommended and looking forward to seeing you again
Overall a poor experience due to poor service. Food ok but over priced for what it was.
Lovely garden food ok service ok they forgot garlic bread but was nice
Sadly our drinks came out when we finished our main meals which was a shame.
Service very slow.
Manager rude to staff in front of customers.
Very slow service. We waited 25 minutes & our drinks still hadn’t arrived, asked one of the staff members who said they would find out however they never got back to us. Our food then arrived and we asked about the drinks again. Drinks then arrived, £6 for a very small glass of Pimms seemed very expensive! Food was ok, would be better if Yorkshire puddings were home made as clearly these were frozen ones.
This was our first meal out since November. We all had roast dinner. Unfortunately it was awful. Turkey, beef and gammon was ROCK hard and in edible. The vegetables were mush and discoloured as over boiled. The roast potatoes were alright. Unfortunately we will never go back again.
The app to order food did not work but luckily we noticed this and ordered from a person, once they temerity come back to us. Another couple thought their order had gone through and one hour later realised it hadn’t. They left with no food as the Wait was too long
Superb service and can’t wait to return , excellent service
Great afternoon in the beer garden, good food & service. Lovely surroundings.
We have booked the Westone for our wedding next year so thought it would be nice to visit on a regular occasion, the experience was great staff were very professional and friendly and great care was taken in the current situation.
The food was delicious with great portion sizes and the atmosphere was lovely.
Very slow service! they brought us the starter and the main course together. 👎🏼
This place is very surprising. You might pull up and think this can't possibly have such a gorgeous garden to enjoy but the back of the hotel is stunning. The food was perfection and the drinks were lovely. The people were very kind. Thank you so much.
Beautiful garden, food was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. What more can you ask for!
Beautiful setting and the welcome and service were excellent
Great place for a sunny day.
Didn’t try the food as just went for drinks
i don't recommend this restaurant.
We ordered tea and pizzas, we waited for tea for half an hour, and for pizzas for an hour
handling is a failure
Had lunch outside on the first day post lockdown. The garden is beautiful and the food was good value. My wife enjoyed her steak and my lamb shank was OK but was disappointed by what were obviously frozen veg.
I am pleased with the service in the Manor grill at that time only one person taking and serving orders but he is very polite and helpful.
Not really impressed. Food just seemed ok but Maybe frozen. The hotel and bar area could have done with maintenance and the hotel windows on the outside needed repainting. They seemed to have a lot of flaking paint on the outside frames. It’s a shame because it could be stunning with a bit of care. The outside Garden was nice but no separation between smokers and non so eating wasn’t nice for some of us. It all just seemed shabby yet it could be a really stunning place to be with money spent on maintenance.
We were seated in the garden which was fine as the table was booked for 6pm and it was still warm. However, although we ordered by 6.10pm the food wasn’t served until an hour later so it was then quite chilly. There was a few items not available like mash potatoes for the sausages and no onion rings, but alternatives were ordered. The value was very good and the service was good considering there only appeared to be 2 staff members, which probably accounted for delay in our meals being served. We were happy to chat while we waited so it wasn’t a big issue for us.
We were surprised we had to go to the bar for our drinks and order our food no waitress/waiter service. Food arrived whilst we were buying another drink from the bar so was left for 5 mins while getting another drink. Not a dining experience.
Food was ok, I think if we were paying full price we would have been disappointed. I had the chicken skewers and the chicken was quite tough and was only 3 small pieces of chicken In the skewer. Chips were good. Garden was lovely too.
It’s a shame they can’t get the app to work when ordering. Tried to charge me £51 for a black currant soda. Yes £51.
Food was good but the clientele has certainly changed over time. Very noisy guys from the bright yellow hi viz workmen group spoiled the ambience and some idiot arguing with staff about the legality of a £20 note.
Nonetheless a pleasant enough evening
