Our name comes from a Mediterranean where the Bardouni river flows from Mount Sannine. Among other things, the mandrake is steeped in the tradition of Lebanon’s famous mezza and on warm evenings there is nothing finer than dining at one of the excellent restaurants.
Here at the Mandrake Lounge, we have brought this experience to life. Our Lebanese restaurant will take you to the banks of the Sannine on a warm night. We have created an environment, atmosphere and menu that is a modern take on Middle Eastern food yet preserves it’s core values. We are committed to delivering excellence in taste, service and unique experiences, with memories to last a lifetime.

The Mandrake Lounge Modern Middle Eastern’s menu is inspired by age-old recipes, brought to life through a modern twist.

We confirmed with Open Table day before as requested. When we arrived restaurant closed. It didn’t open until 5pm. Breakdown in booking system and venue.

It was a Monday when we visited so it was quiet but we really enjoyed the food the staff were great and liked the style of the restaurant

The staff were so friendly, beautifully decorated and a very relaxing atmosphere. Great service and the food was second to none. We will definitely be returning

Delicious food, lovely friendly service and great decor. Would prefer lower lighting levels ( its too bright) and music needs to be much quieter.

Absolutely love this restaurant, food is excellent quality and value, service is always very pleasant and we have been four times in the past couple of months. Lovely decor too

A really lovely new restaurant in jesmond - the word needs to get out about this place! The food was delicious and so fresh. The cocktails were yummy and the service was very good - very attentive waitress! More people need to try this lovely restaurant. Great value.
