Food and service was good
Great well rounded menu. Party of 7 and all were very happy with the appetizers and meals. Bacon & Brussels appetizer and Lamb Pops entree were fantastic. Will definitely be going back.
Food was delicious but service was slow
They ran out of a few items that I wanted from the menu - was a bit disappointed because I had family with me from out of town and really wanted them to try it. But our server was an absolute joy!
Waiter was Harold, awesome service! The food and drinks were absolutely fantastic!!
Love going here for OSU games. The food and drink specials are awesome. Everyone who works here is SUPER nice and make the experience even better.
Nice atmosphere with an exotic menu! You must try the bacon and Brussels. Absolutely delish!
They were out of the one item I wanted to try on their menu which was unfortunate. Our waiter was great.
Great brunch. The Denver omelet was tasty and very well seasoned.
Raspberry mimosas were flavorful.
Nutella French toast was less ok, but expected more Nutella based on the menu advertisement. French toast was lightly dusted with Nutella.
Our server Jah was great! The tall man at the bar in the speakeasy was also so nice!
My husband and I went here for the first time for Clt Burger Week. We got a couple of $5 apps and 2 $6 1812 Burgers. Service was fine but waitress didn’t seem to know what was going on and was unable to answer questions. Parking was supposed to be validated but code didn’t work so a bit frustrating. Brussels sprouts were ok but I felt like they were premade and microwaved prior to serving. The burgers were well done instead of requested med well temp and I also felt these were microwaved as well since they were super hot in the middle as opposed to cooler in the middle and hot on the outside. My husband enjoyed his wings appetizer. Would not return, even for a $6 cheeseburger special as there are just much better options in Charlotte.
It was my wife’s birthday!
I ordered the seafood linguine. The mussels and shrimp was good but the dish was quite soupy. I don’t know if that’s how it’s suppose to be served but I was expecting a light sauce with some oils. Overall I give the dish a 2 out of 5. The wine was good. My boyfriend enjoyed his food just wish it was more on the plate.
One of my favorite spots. The food is always delicious. The drink prices could drop a biit but otherwise, I enjoy The Manchster and Room 1812.
Initially it took 8 minutes for someone to greet us at the table, no waiter or waitress served us. Once the waitress explained that the waitress assigned to serve our table was late she was very very accommodating.
Wife and I stopped in for a late lunch on a Monday. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We looked through the menu but ultimately decided on some daily lunch specials offered by our server. I chose a couple drinks from the local draft list. And my wife made sure to order desert. All of our meal items were wonderful. We already made plans to return another night for dinner with some friends. The atmosphere was modern and fun. Lighting was great and set the mood. And we couldn’t be happier with our food. Can’t wait to sneak into the speakeasy and see what that’s like!
Went on a double date. Our waitress Cara was great but that was about the only thing. The food was just ok, the drinks were not good at all (flat with no depth), and management could use some training in customer service. All four of us had an issue with our drinks. Daisy, the service manager came over, heard our issue and vowed to make it correct. Next thing we know a gentleman comes over (without ever introducing himself) asking if we had an issue. One of us stated that it was already being handled but we could tell he wanted to know more so we explained the issue with the drinks. He appeared offended by us describing them as ‘watered down’ and ‘no depth’ as he quickly stated they don’t water down their drinks. He then said he would get them remade (which Daisy was already handling btw). A minute goes by and he’s back at the table specifically asking me what was wrong with my Old Fashion because they make about 20 a day, the same way, and the bartender doesn’t know what can be done differently. I had a hard time putting into words the issue but before I could even try he immediately and sharply said ‘I won’t be comping the drinks again so if you get it and don’t like it that’s it’! We were all shocked and appalled because we never asked him to comp the drinks, we just wanted them remade properly! My husband ended up changing his drink order completed to just vodka on the rocks (because you can’t mess that up) and he never brought me back a drink at all. We later found out the gentleman was the GENERAL MANAGER named Eric. I couldn’t believe that is how the GM would handle a customer complaint! While Daisy and Cara were great and the only reason why we stayed, we will not be returning!
Given Covid, you’re supposed to wear a mask covering your mouth and nose for entry but Eric had on some weird ‘mask’ that was plastic and was attached to his face by something on the chin and it did not cover his nose and barely covered his mouth! Unacceptable for mgmt!
Food was great! Outdoor seating was nice given COVID. Staff was a little slow (possibly new or rusty), but pleasant.
Food was fabulous
I had made reservations outside but they had a private party there and they didn’t even apologize that we weren’t outside! Was just glad most people left as it was crowded when we came.
Food it great prices good too!
Unfortunately out of cider on tap and no bottles either.
Reserved seating on the patio, but we were seated on the Peking lot patio... the actual covered patio looked much nicer. Waited forever for a server, his English was awful and couldn’t answer any questions about the beer menu. My date asked him what the seasonal cider was, he said I think it’s some apple juice, me not sure. We had to ask him to go find out the brand and what type of cider it was. He took our order and we never saw him again until it was time for the check... our drinks had been empty for awhile at that point. Food was good, but everything else was awful. Not exactly how I expected a date night to go with my love. Very poor overall.
The food was absolutely delicious, but the service of our waitress was terrible.
Very nice staff, gave us a tour of the speakeasy downstairs. Very cool.
Went for brunch with some friends and enjoyed it thoroughly!
Food was very good, service was a little slow but we were not in a hurry and it was busy. Patio is great, just a bit loud with traffic noise but we expected that as we wanted to be outside due to Covid. Enjoyed it.
The food was fantastic. Best lobster mac and cheese and french fries ever. We will definitely return.
The overall atmosphere was nice. Our server seemed tired and overwhelmed. She never introduced herself. We had to request refills and ask for our orders to be taken. We had a reservation for 6:45p. We (party of 12) arrived on time and were immediately seated. Took 20 mins for anyone to come over to us only after I flagged her down and was then advised that she was our server (no name given) and that she was in the middle of something and would be back shortly. Food took a long time to come out. Inspite of the wait, the food was good. My chicken marsala only had 2 mushrooms in the sauce and was missing the onions that I had requested. In my opinion the night would have been better if we had another server to assist in addition to the one we had since our party was so big. But it was on a Tuesday, so not very busy. I will try again with a smaller party and on a different day. No one else seemed to have our issues.
Food quality and prep was perfect! Unexpected treat!
I really wanted to like this place, DONT LET IT FOOL YOU, but it started off the wrong foot with the calamari appetizer. The rings were heavily breaded, and the meat inside was paper thin! Almost felt like eating calm fried calamari jerky. I had the bang bang shrimp and chicken, which was tasteless. The sauce was the only flavor in the plate, the chicken and shrimp, simply bland. My partner had the grilled salmon, again, tasteless, it didn't taste like fish at all. You can tell this was frozen food, who know for how long. That's how it lost it's fresh taste after a while. Definitely do not recommend it.
I really enjoyed my time there the food was great. I ordered the chicken and shrimp with rice I forgot the name of it. Our server Harold was very attentive to our needs. I will definitely be back.
Birthday dinner celebration
Service was pretty slow even though there was hardly anyone else in the restaurant. Besides that was very nice.
Server was not good..... a Harold actually served us better than our own server which was a female, brown hair, glasses i believe. She didn’t over the mimosa pitcher, but Harold did. She didn’t take our food order, but Harold did! I don’t even know her name, but i made sure to find Harold and tip him
This was our first time dining at The Manchester 1812. We had appetizers (Brussels sprouts and cantaloupe & prosciutto) which were delicious. I had the lobster roll which was perfectly cooked and did not have mayonnaise - loved it! My husband had a burger topped with bacon and a soft fried egg. He said the burger was cooked perfectly and was nice and juicy. I also had the Blueberry Fizz drink which was prepared with bourbon and a ginger beer - it was really refreshing and perfectly balanced.
Lastly, our waitress was very friendly and professional.
The outdoor seating could have been prepared better with people requesting to eat outdoors more with COVID.
Outside was great atmosphere. Blackberries had mold on them, server rectified the issue properly but chef should not have left that be served.
Awesome place for dinner amazing food better drinks
We had a great time and will definitely go back. But there seemed to be an issue with our reservation. They had it but were not prepared. It all worked out. Again, we will go back.
First visit was because of good Yelp rating and proximity/availability in a hurry (famished, and had no reservations on this rainy Covid evening). Seated immediately at a high top in bar. I would say the one negative here was the Covid compliance... possibly they are technically compliant, but the tables seemed mighty close compared to some places we've visited (indoors) during the pandemic, and one host/server(?) was most of the time wearing her mask below her nose. We just felt a little less than safe and probably won't try it again unless we're outdoors.
That said, the hamburger and root veggies were excellent, ribeye a bit gristly but great flavor, great beer selection, service was fast and friendly.
The crowd was mixed in age -- some olders like us (50's, 60's), lots of middles, and plenty of young people too, so the vibe should suit everyone unless you're looking for a meat market. (We were in the bar area, so didn't see kids, but I think it would be fine for kids.)
