Everything was great! The Host was amazing, and our server was amazing as well. My girlfriend really enjoyed her bday dinner.
We went to brunch last weekend. My husband and I absolutely loved it! The food was delicious, the service was really good and the ambiance so fun! We highly recommend
Yummy brunch with attentive service and warm ambiance on a very cold day!
The food is very good, and the Parker House rolls are amazing. Our hanger steaks were a little "chewy" but I guess that is to be expected. The restaurant is very loud at night. We were there on a cold Friday night and it was packed and noisy. The ambiance does not lend itself to intimate conversations....
Second visit for lunch. Not too crowded and we could have a normal conversation. The food was excellent: well prepared, of reasonable proportions, and well presented, I should say the bread pudding dessert was the best I've had in a restaurant. Unfortunately, the fish selection was minimal (I've been told they had a broader fish menu in the past). Sadly, their tap beer is still served in a chilled glass and cold.
My favorite joint in Old Town. A real classic
Wonderful dinner experience! Started with fabulous craft cocktails-shout out to Sean. Food was excellent and our server was terrific. Highly recommend.
Our waiter Don was exceptional. He was extremely knowledgeable and it was obvious that he cares about his job and takes pride in the work that he does. It is because of him that we will be returning.
It was my first time at majestic. The monkey bread had their own twist to it as it was not very strong on the cinnamon but it was delicious. We got a mimosa flight for a steal, very good. For entrée we got the short rib omelette and the brunch burger. The food was alright. Our server was very helpful but unfortunately told us they no longer have deviled eggs. Would come back!
Made a reservation and table was ready for us when we arrived. Our waiter Don was excelllent.
Extremely friendly staff made us feel like we were only people there. Service was outstanding. Food exceptional. My new favorite spot on King street.
We really enjoyed this restaurant. The inside is very pretty. It is small, but not tightly packed. The Majestic has a nice bar area and a good drink selection. The menu is somewhat small but the food is very well prepared. We enjoyed our dining experience.
Great atmosphere and excellent food overall. The tables were a little cramped on top of each other given COVID, but I would highly recommend the hanger steak if you stop by. Delicious
We were celebrating my birthday and it could not have been better. The hostess welcomed us and wished me a happy birthday. Our waiter was personable and made suggestions from the menu, informed us that two cocktails, unfortunately, were not available, and allowed us plenty of time to decide on our drinks and dinner orders. I had the bone-in pork chop which was wonderful. My partner was a wee bit disappointed by the size (small) of his hanger steak which was dwarfed by a large number of fingerling potatoes. The Parker House rolls are wonderful but six is really too many for two people and the smoked butter - not so much.
The experience was everything we wanted and more. The food was delicious and big amounts which definitely suprised me. Our waitress was awesome, helpful and nice. Would definitely be back.
Our server Hugo was fantastic! We thoroughly enjoyed our delicious meal and appreciated the ability to celebrate Christmas after a long day of work. We had been before, and will be back again!
Majestic is terrific. Food is wonderful and service is A+ . We went there for Christmas dinner and have a blast .
The restaurant was offering a special prix fixe menu on Christmas Day...what a great idea! All the seasonal food selections offered were fabulous. Additionally, our server, Courtney T, was the best. Next time we're in town this restaurant definitely deserves a return visit.
We went for Christmas dinner. Food was fine but service would have been more attentive at McDonalds. 25 minute wait to be seated despite reservations. We aren’t difficult or demanding customers by any stretch, but if you have to ask three times about the status of your order, it’s a bad sign. Not sure if the problem was the number of the wait staff or their skill level. Either way, it wasn’t the sort of special meal we were hoping for.
We went for Christmas dinner and had a great experience. The food was great, the service was wonderful and all the staff made us feel very welcome
Dined here on Christmas Day. Some of the dishes were tasty, others tasted mass produced and something you would get at a wedding. Would not recommend their prix-fixe menu for special occasions. Server was very friendly but the restaurant was busy and it was difficult at times to get ahold of them. Restaurant may be better during normal business hours and ordering from the normal a la cart menu.
Wonderful! Glad to be able to eat outside! The food and the service were outstanding!! Thank you so much!
Amazing Christmas brunch.
Our server Hugo made a special night even more special. Christmas Eve can be a tough night in the restaurant world but the Majestic touched all the bases. Bravo
Living in Old Town, we have many options on where to dine. We always return to the Majestic because it’s one of our favorites
Great food and atmosphere. Went for Christmas Eve dinner.
Our server was very good but looked like there may have been only two working the first floor so we waited much longer on drinks, food, etc. Not his fault but a bummer for us.
We had 2 “juniors” ages 4 & 2, plus 5 adults & all went well. They got the kids served 1st which was perfect than ours came out a little later. Great cocktails, solid entree choices & a fun evening!
Wonderful food and service. I will definitely make this a go-to spot when in Alexandria.
First, they graciously adjusted our reservation time. As we waited to be seated, a warm plate of monkey bread passed right by us, and the appetizer was decided upon! Do not miss it! We were seated at a table for four. They make good use of the space, as it looked full, felt cozy, and the staff had ample room to do their thing-which was top notch. Don was our server, and he was fantastic! Chicken Biscuits were so good, as were the Salmon Bennies. Mimosas and Bloody Marys rounded out our brunch. There was good music playing overhead, and the rest of the sound was table chatter. We will definitely brunch there again!
We went thgere for Sunday Brunch. Very good selection. Prompt service.
Excellent staff and overall service. Food was outstanding! Strongly recommend and will return.
We were promptly seated. Server was friendly and he, with the rest of the staff, were very attentive. The food was fabulous, better than we'd remembered; we had the steak, mussels and chicken salad. The cocktails were tasty - not watered down and not overtaken with alcohol. The decor is art Deco style and everything from the music to the decorations flowed with that style. The portions were standard sized, not too small and not too big. Perfect evening out!
Lovely brunch. The braised short rib omelette is to die for!
Delicious brunch and great service. Will be going again in the near future.
Very nice place, great food and service. Highly recommended
Good food & good variety.
The Barkeep seemed to be extremely busy which meant it took longer than I would expect. Perhaps an extra Barkeep?
I literally do not know where to begin. Please management/owner, get the bartender some help. He was very confused and extremely slow and did not seem happy at all. Our drinks were made 30 minutes after we ordered them. Some could not be ordered as the ingredients were unavailable. We watched wine ordered and not enough poured in the glass from the empty bottle, but another one forgotten to be opened and the order was not completed. Lots of empty liquor bottles…seemed the bar was not set up before service. Seated and asked to be put in a booth, only to be asked if we requested one. How would we know, as it was our first time, it was to be noted on the reservation? Extremely loud and hard to converse, not to mention very dark making it hard to see the menu or our food. We were trying to enjoy an early Christmas dinner with our daughter and fiancé and were quite disappointed. Our server was nice and attentive, and even he had trouble hearing, so some things got lost in translation. Food arrived cold to lukewarm at best. Left before having dessert because it was not enjoyable with all the things mentioned above.
I like the majestic food ordinarily but these past two visits the noise level has been ridiculous and I cannot hear across the table. The service was mediocre last night. I had to ask for water twice, a wine order took over 30 minutes. However the food arrived quickly after ordering and hadn’t even finished my cocktail. The food was ok not spectacular. Hamburger Patty was small, French fries cool and over cooked. Will not be coming back anytime soon.
