Excellent NE clam chowder. Steamed lobster perfectly cooked.
we both had lobster rolls and chowder. All tasted delicious, lobster nicely cooked .
Always a great meal and a good time at the Maine Catch!
Great food and great service in a very pleasant setting with indoor and outdoor seating! Server Ricardo was awesome!
Smelled like Lysol and tables were sticky with Lysol. The smell was hard to get over while eating. Waiter didnt want to explain anything on menu. Waiter forgot one entree from our party. Had to wait … To end our evening , our waiter served a birthday desert on his head … completely unhygienic as hair landed on the plate. Probably thought it was cute, but honestly it was disgusting. Never again.
I also wrote a review on TripAdvisor :-) Our food beginning with the delicious Caesar salad and corn bread, was great.
We had the baked halibut which was very fresh and delicious and had a light herb crust on it.
The Jamaican staff was excellent, hard-working and very friendly!
I would highly recommend it. Prices are very reasonable, but it is not an intimate dining experience, it’s loud and lively :-)
We dined here before going to Ogunquit Theatre for a show. Had a reservation and was seated quickly. Our waiter was not friendly with us but seemed to be fine with other tables. We ordered oysters which were very good and a house salad that was very large. Could have shared with 2 people easily. One of us got fried chicken, which wasn’t really “fried” as much as it was strips off the bone. The menu should be more specific about that. 2 of us ordered the Scallops, which were very good and plentiful. 6 scallops on plate. Again, could have shared the meal. The other order was the salmon which was very good as well. Overall, a nice meal, I just wish the server would have been a bit more pleasant.
We went for lunch on a beautiful fall day and sat at a high top table near the bar. The bartender was personable and attentive. The service from all of the staff was great. The restaurant ambiance is very pretty inside and out. The bloody mary came with a large shrimp. We had oysters and steamed clams for appetizers and entrees of fish and chips and a lobster roll. We will definitely return.
We enjoy trying new restaurants. So here is a comment on a new restaurant.
Three of us ordered. I had the charred brussel sprouts, very good. I had the grilled scallops in a sauce excellent.
The other 2 ordered house salads which were excellent. But my son said the bucatini with clam sauce was way too spicy (too much red pepper). Husband had seafood newburg, also very spicy. So we love the restaurant but the food we found was uneven!
What a great place!! The food was delicious and the service excellent. The staff are professional, attentive and friendly. It is first rate cuisine in a relaxed and happy atmosphere.
Pan-seared haddock was overdone and nearly inedible. Server was indifferent. May have been just an off day, but I would never try again.
First class dining experience across the board. Food, drinks and service top notch. A must experience when in the area!
They sat us on time, the waiter was very attentive and patient. Oysters were fresh and well presented, food was hot and delicious.
Great atmosphere and value.
Steamed clams disappointing compared to previous experiences in the Northwest and Boston. Lobster Cobb good, crab stuffed haddock good but very salty.
First time dining here. It was for my husband’s birthday. The food was great. Great selection of oysters. The service was excellent. Definitely coming back!
Stopped in after a Saturday walk for lunch. Had a wonderful meal and Norman looked after us perfectly. Delicious food, seasonal ale and a new wine to try. A perfect fall lunch.
Very good sea food and service. We had crispy calamari to start and fried clams and baked haddock for mains . Nothing to disappoint! Just what you would expect from Maine seafood near the water.
Fantastic restaurant. The service at the bar and table was exceptional. The menu was extensive and all the food we had was delicious. We will dine here the next time we are in Ogunquit. Highly recommend.
Food was very taste but not hot enough.
Delicious brussel sprout appetizer, haddad entre and also scallop entre.
Chocolate cake dessert was great..
Server was very good but way too busy.
The Maine Catch has charming rooms with large fireplaces. Our meals were steamed lobster and lobster Newburg, both of which were delicious. We will definitely return.
Great dining experience. The food was delicious from apps to the blueberry pie!
Outstanding scallops, attentive and knowledgeable waiter, overall great!
Overall avg . Lobster dinner . Nice space . Wine list limited. Server excellent.
We went for our Anniversary dinner and it was absolutely delicious! Every part of it. We will definitely be back.
My fish and chips were perfect. My wife's fish was undercooked as well as her vegetables. Though prices were a bit high.
One of the few places left in New England that offers baked lobster Savanah.
A nice quiet start to our evening, but staff cannot manage where the loud diners get seated, so ours came with dessert. Our filet minion and jambalaya were terrific, but the big surprise was the salad with fresh veggies that exploded with flavor. The blueberry pie was disappointing, but the carrot cake saved that course.
We are very pleased to have found this place and we take good memories and maybe a few additional pounds back home with us.
Great food, rustic atmosphere, service was good. Would definitely return.
Great food and service! Nice dining area outside too!
Very good ambiance, but a bit noisy for intimate conversation what with all the hard interior surfaces. My oysters were excellent; the wedge salad was just right for sharing between the 2 of us; the dipping sauce for the calamari was a bit too spicy for us, but the preparation and quantity of the meat was just right; and the carrot cake was one of the best we’ve ever had. Our server was a very friendly Jamaican fellow from FL who was very upbeat, but sometimes difficult to understand. The Pinot Grigio was a food match for the oysters.
Dinner was delicious - Mussels were amazing, I thoroughly enjoyed the Lobster Cobb Salad - my husband enjoyed his filet and scallops!! The apple cake for dessert was amazing. Staff was lovely - atmosphere is relaxing! Can't wait to go back!
Our waitress, Casey, was amazing. Wonderful evening.
My wife and I heard good things about the food so we chose this for our anniversary dinner. Sadly we did not experience the same as what we heard. The oysters to start were excellent. Ordered a stuffed lobster and stuffed haddock for entrees. The menu said the stuffed lobster would add 25 minutes to the order. Completely understandable except it arrived in about 10 minutes. This would have been great except that the lobster looked like it was left over sitting in the heat lamps for 30 minutes and the potatoes in it were barely even cooked. The haddock stuffing had no flavor other then the herbs and way too much of them. Maybe we were just a one off but it was disappointing to say the least.
We had reservations and we’re seated quickly in a nice corner. Our server took great care of us and both meals were very good. We had the haddock and the lobster fra diavola.
The food and service was great ... service was much better than most other places in the area which are all very short staffed.
Noel our server was great. Oysters were outstanding
The food was exquisite, and the service was great.
So glad to find a restaurant that took reservations!
Seated promptly, waiter was amazing, food was delicious.
Started with a very good bourbon drink, awesome Caesar salad - so large we shared-
1 1/2 pound lobsters - vegetable sides were a welcome addition. If we weren’t stuffed, the homemade blueberry pie topped with ice-cream would have ended our exemplary dining experience!
The Maine Catch was a terrific choice for our last vacation dinner.
Food was amazing and service was excellent. I will be going back.
