We arrived to find that the Madison was not open. Their website advertises Sunday brunch every Sunday, and we got our family ready (four kids included) to attend for Father's Day. We arrived to find the building locked and empty. We attempted to call over that day and the next, but got no answer. We also sent an email and got no response. Their website allowed us to make a reservation, and also showed that every Sunday this brunch is available, but they were closed.

It was not good from the start. They apparently overbooked or took too many walk ins. We had a reservation for 1:15 and was seated at a table at 1:45. Then waited 10 min to get a drink order. When we finally got to the buffet there was only two plates, so we had to wait. Then multiple food items were out and did not refill. Was carving pork loin(which was like rubber) at the carving station which you would think they would serve prime rib on Mother's Day, and it was 34.99 a person. The chicken Marsala was so over cooked it had no flavor. When we finally got to dessert there were a few cookies left, peach cobbler and ice cream. They ran out and did not fill the other items. Our waitress was very good and there were a few items of food that were good, but just very disappointed that we chose this restaurant to take our mothers to.

We arrived at our reservation time and we're told there were no high chairs and we'd have to wait for one to become available. After 35 minutes we were seated but still no high chair. At the urging of other guests to get food while we could since things seemed to be running low, we checked out the buffet. There were no plates to be found and several people waiting. There was no hope for an omelette since he was backed up with orders and no plates to put them on and the majority of the chafing dishes were empty. The carving station was unnamed, and as far as the advertised menu-I saw no resemblance to what was actually available. The overall feel I got was that Mothers Day was a special event and they had really advertised it and were completely overwhelmed with the response. By the time we left (without eating so I can't attest to the quality of food-just lack of) the hall was crammed with people waiting. If they intend on doing this in the future they are going to have to get their act together and be prepared for the response. Or simply take much fewer reservations. If not for two restless hungry children we might have stuck it out and waited to see what they were going to do but they had waited as long as they could. It was going to be hard for that buffet to be worth the money.

The room, set up and atmosphere was great however the food was not worth the price. I would not make reservations for my family's special occasion again.
