   So good to be back at the lynhall Minneapolis. Always appreciate the welcoming, stay-awhile vibe. The food was as delicious as it ever has been, and the cocktails too. So happy to see the pastry case filled almost like things were in the very beginning (if only the amazing platters of salads would come back too). We were really missing the warmth of the fire on a brisk cold Saturday morning. We were told they were out of wood :( That amazing fireplace is one of the many things that make Lynhall so special; I hope to see it lit next time.

   I went to the LynnLake location yesterday with a party of six for my boss's birthday. She is a tea lover and we wanted to treat her to high tea, which was on their menu. To say that I was disappointed and embarrassed is an understatement. The menu listed for "High Tea" was - "Assortment of local cheeses, charcuterie, accouterment, desserts, and crackers" The wait person said that it would feed 2-3 guests. I prepared to receive a delicious and decadent buffet of treats to share with my boss. The food presented was not as the menu described: 1. Charcuterie always has some sort of salami or other meat - nothing. 2. No crackers at all, just two 1/2 pieces of dry toast. 3. There was mostly cheese - which was tasty, but most of it was moldy. (Yes, I know that you can eat moldy cheese.) 4. The "accouterment" consisted of 5 or 6 olives and 5 or 6 walnut pieces strewn randomly about the plates and some unidentified jam and mustard blobs. 5. The dessert was three bite-sized mini-pastries. This was all served on a three-tier dinner-plate-sized server, which made it look even more sparse than it was for $30.00. For a last added touch, we had maybe 15 blueberries scattered on the dishes. Lynhall LynnLake - you're batting out of your league. Take this off your menu. Oh, yeah - the actual tea beverages were extra.

   Wow, everything was amazing for So bday brunch. Service, ambiance, and the quality food. Everything is locally sourced and seriously delicious. Even the eggs tasted better than any eggs I have had. We enjoyed our meals and even two home two of their famous chocolate chip cookies for later. Excellent spot.

   The food here is good, and the servers are always friendly. However, the prices are no longer in line with the experience. We paid $70 for breakfast for two, and it was not a hearty breakfast.

   A neighborhood gem. Great food and drinks in a beautiful space. "Dateworthy" Service is not quite as attentive as they might be. I mean, it's the difference between a very good and a great experience.

    Walking in, the space was incredible! Very open and welcoming. Food tasted good with no overall complaints. Thought it was odd not being asked how I want my prime rib cooked, but it was medium rare which was great. Service was pleasant and checked in occasionally.

    Absolutely LOVED The Lynhall. I can't believe that I've never been here until now. The food was amazing! Everything was so yummy! The drinks were to die for! The décor and vibe of the entire place was right on point! Will definitely be going back!

    We always make reservations for weekend brunch and the food is always right on point. This is a busy restaurant because it's highly loved but I don't think it's nice to make us wait 45 minutes before taking our order and bringing us waters. Our server admitted it was her 4th day on the job but to bring is our pastries 35 minutes before silverware to eat it with?! These are 1st day mistakes. Honestly, service is usually slow but that was drastic.

    It often felt like the staff couldn't keep up with what was happening if it was something other than the basics. They were pleasant, but somewhat indifferent and impersonal. They serve a breakfast bundle, but didn't have a real selection of pastries by the time we ordered- this seems to be a recurring problem.

    Heard about their Sunday Roast and it was definitely worth it. The mushroom and chestnut pie had a delicate and flaky crust and the the filling was very pleasing. The pork was great as well. We had dessert and the souffle as well as the tart were a great finish. We had parsnips and the polenta and out of those two the polenta was the winner. Great mushroom taste and the dallop of maybe tarragon blend they add on top just makes it. The only thing that was mediocre were their mixed drinks but it did not make the stuff experience less enjoyable. Stick to the wine.

    Reservations made but still had to wait. The waiter was inattentive and did not communicate. It took 1.5 hours to get our food. Many of the drinks , food, we ordered wasn’t available. They add a nice surcharge on for not bringing cash to pay… overall a negative experience.

    I have had breakfast here and it was wonderful so was excited to have supper. It was awful. The food itself was ok but it was lukewarm when it came to us. We had gotten a side of their crispy brussel sprouts which are really good but they came out so late, we had finished our main courses. We had to twice flag down someone for water. It was quite expensive for really a poor experience.

    I usually do not write reviews but we had a very bad experience-waited over 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive after ordering them and they were watery and flat. Server never came back to check on us after we complained about poor service

    Lynhall is culinarily solid. Great ideas executed well. Interesting flavors, innovative. Everything was solidly delicious. I would love to eat that food again, and I’m a chef. The service was amateur at best. Our server was new- totally fine. Everyone is new sometimes. We waited 25 minutes to put in a drink order- flagged someone down who took it but said “I’m not your server”, and then we waited 14 more minutes for our server to take our order. We were there an hour and 5 minutes before we got apps. Restaurant was half full. Not acceptable. No manager ever even checked on us. The server basically said, “I’m new! Sorry!” And then wasn’t properly trained to do her job and no one else cared. Again. The food was great. But be prepared for that to be the highlight.

    Our second visit. The food was very good like last time. The service was terrible. We had to wait over an hour for our food. When the food finally arrived and we asked for a refill on coffee, the server said they were brewing some fresh but never brought it out. This was a Saturday morning. The server apologized and stated that they were busy, but that's not a great excuse for poor service..

    The Lynhall has a new 'brunch' menu that looks like a combination of breakfast & lunch so you have your pick: but it skews in my opinion heavier toward breakfast. But it's excellent, and there were too many good choices. We did order the mushroom omelette and the french toast: we also ordered a side of bacon to test (it was excellent!). As was the rest of the food. The mushroom omelette came with a large side of greens. The french toast was delicious and juicy, along with the whipped butter (creme fraiche?). However, our desire for one of the delicious pastries was quashed as the restaurant was out of the desired pastries we wanted. That is the one problem with a later in the day reservation. Highly recommended.

    Had a reservation for Sunday brunch when they opened at 9 AM, the place was full by the time we left, highly recommend… Super cute location and fantastic food. Great coffee choices as well and the service was excellent.

    We were greeted at the hostess stand, and to my delight, seated in the side dining room right by the real fireplace. Warmth and ambience! The main room seems to be more animated with a bit more noise than our area, but with that fireplace we quite enjoyed being off to the side. It did take a while before our waiter arrived, but once he did he was polite and on point. Our food was delicious and well prepared. Such great brunch offerings, pastries are a treat (literally). We didn't feel rushed and enjoyed the experience. There is a parking lot adjoining the building, but it can be full so street parking might be necessary. The restaurant seemed clean, and well organized so it was comfortable and inviting to be there. I would recommend this and also would like to return.

    First time having dinner at Lyn Hall and couldn’t have been more pleased. Our server was both congenial and professional, attentive without hovering. The appetizer and two entrees we both shared were prepared perfectly, and quite delicious. We greatly enjoyed the singer who was performing through the evening which was enhanced by better than expected acoustics. A thoroughly enjoyable NYE celebration.

    Very disappointing- slow service despite the fact that it wasn’t busy. Missed some orders and food was just ok. We had out of town guests that wanted a repeat visit after brunch here Labor Day weekend. Also just too expensive. Why is a sals $16?
