We are pleased to announce we are now accepting reservations for our dinner service. Let us take the hassle out of dinner by providing you with a reserved table and the flexibility to order counter service. In addition, we now offer weekend brunch reservations for groups of 10-16 at our Long Table for three seatings. Walk-ins are always welcomed and encouraged
We specialize in reservations for parties of 6 - 16 but offer seating for smaller parties as well. All parties of 16 or more, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on having a Private Dining Event at The Lynhall.
Really good experience here! I had usually only been in here during the day, but was delighted to find their dinner to be fantastic, and that it is a full-service restaurant by night. Great drinks and a nicely focused wine by-the-glass list. I had the lamb and my wife had the flatiron steak. Both delicious! The space is so cozy and the place was bustling on a Friday night. Would definitely return!
Excellent wine and relaxed atmosphere. Noise can be bothersome, plus music makes it rather loud. Brussel sprouts were outstanding. Flatbread was delicious. Enjoyed the tomato soup, as it was gluten free. Service was sensitive to our desire for conversation and returned patiently for our order.
Clean and open atmosphere with good food and great service’
Was expecting great food, got mediocre (at best) food. Good ambiance but you go to a restaurant to eat.
I'd heard so many amazing things perhaps my expectations were too high. I though Lynhall was average. The food was mixed - I had Walleye sticks - hoping for something special - these were like frozen fish sticks, all bread, no sauce, really bland. The Brussel Sprouts are AMAZING! The roasted root veggies were also VERY good. My dinner partners enjoyed their meals as expected but not delighted.
The tables and spaces are odd - we were at a skinny table so folks across from each other accross the short side seem like they practically sharing a plate but if you are on the end it seems out of proportion. Tables are very close together.
It is a very pleasant place and the food is creative and tasty. They had just started table service the week we ate there, and the service had a few hiccups (which they warned us about!) But I a sure they will iron those out. I will definitely be back!
The food was tasty, but portions were extremely small and definitely not shareable. Pricey for what you get. Counter service only until they “work out some kinks”, made for an interesting experience. Cocktails extremely small and pricey as well, very light on the alcohol. I would return if someone was dying to go, but I’m not seeking it out for funzies in the future.
Overall, I did enjoy my experience at The Lynhall. It was not quite what my sisters and I were expecting; rather than a full-service, sit-down restaurant, a sign at the front directed us to grab a menu and order at the counter. We weren't quite sure what to do since we saw our table with a "reserved" sign and pre-set at the front of the dining room. In the end, we did order at the counter and were directed to the reserved table, and I got my OpenTable credit. We ordered an entree and drink each, and a starter to share. I appreciate that they have non-alcoholic mocktail options as I'm currently expecting. Service was limited, to say the least. We saw other patrons going to fill their own water carafes, which we weren't sure we were expected to do. All of the food came really quickly, but at the same time, so we weren't able to enjoy the crab croquettes first. Drinks came shortly thereafter, which was weird and a little annoying as we saw them sitting on the bar waiting to be picked up. Drinks were unique and very tasty. Crab croquettes were EXTREMELY salty; they had almost a salt crust on the bottom that almost made them inedible. The inside was so delicious, though. Our main dishes were all good but portion sizes compared to cost were disappointing. My sister's halibut was served on a bed of white bean and cauliflower puree but unfortunately the hunk of fish was pretty disproportionate, so she had a lot of the "other stuff" leftover at the end. The ambiance is really nice and the setting is very "Instagramable," if you're looking for a place like that.
I really enjoyed the food but I’m not sure why such a place accepts reservations. You pick up a menu by the door, walk up to a counter and order, take a number and seat yourself. If you order a beverage you’re expected to retrieve it from a refrigerator. Again, great food, but encouraging reservations is completely senseless.
Thank you so much for your valuable feedback. We would welcome the opportunity to connect by phone to learn more from your experience. We will reach out to you separately to see if this is possible and we look forward to welcoming you back to The Lynhall.
The drinks and food were great and made up for the very slow service. We had a reservation and asked to sit outside. We had to move the table to seat 4 folks and then one person still had the plants in her hair at times. We were sat by one person, drink orders taken by 1 then a second person as our first person was pulled to a large group inside to help serve. The restaurant was not full by any means except for the group that seemed to be having a meeting or event of sorts. The servers were pleasant and helpful but everything came to us very slowly, especially the entrees. Thankfully, we had ordered a couple of appetizers to share, which were long gone before we got the main dishes. The meals were a bit pricey for what we received but the taste was great. Although one of us did not get an item that was supposed to be in the dish so she was disappointed but did not say anything.
We had an early evening, Tuesday dinner so the Hall was quiet. Making a reservation ensures table service. We enjoyed everything about our meal from cocktails, to apps to entre. We fully recommend the Duck Rillettes, but ask for additional bread. The demi baguette portion is..."demi."
Every single dish we ordered was simply delicious. Don't miss ordering some of the vegetable dishes to go along with your entree, they are outstanding.
It was our first time at Lynhall and we enjoyed everything. The waiter gave us excellent information about the serving size, drinks, etc. The food was delicious! Nice atmosphere!
We had lots of delicious food-the trio cheese tray was yummy although smaller than we anticipated. The Kale and broccolini was outstanding! I had the halibut-and thought the leek fennel pea concoction was the best part-delicious. Cauliflower and Brussels did not disappoint either and everyone else enjoyed their entrees which included shirt rubs, lamb and the pasta. We will be back!
Ordered the short ribs, Brussel Sprouts , flatbread. Short ribs were amazing
We thought all items were great!
Nice atmosphere and decor.
Prices are very reasonable. Not a big selection of liquor. Only had 2 kinds of vodka.
Would definitely go back
This was our first time to The Lynhall! We were not disappointed! Fabulous food, and cocktails. And the wine that was recommended to us by Nico was outstanding! We will definitely return!
It is a great place. Good for large groups! The food is a bit “nuts and twigs” but if you are into that, you will LOVE it!
Delicious food and very friendly staff. Busy, noisy setting.
The staff was both enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The service was excellent and the meal was high quality.
The food was excellent. Presentation pleasing. Nice wine and beer selection. This would be a great place for large group gatherings.
It's a great casual spot with some awesome elevated food good for pretty much any occasion. It feels lively, the staff is incredibly welcoming and it's a really unique space.
The food and drink were above and beyond! Absolute best ingredients, fresh and well prepared. We could not have been more satisfied. Thank you!!
The Mother’s Day brunch was delicious, well planned out with a busy but not overwhelming atmosphere. The music was also notable as a really great mix of classic and newer songs. Would 100% recommend!
Great food, great place, I will go back. Great service
Would no recommend them for Mother's Day Brunch, the food was more than great, but I was asked to pay the bill ahead of time and this was right in front of my mother, so she heard about the price and etc, which I would have preferred not to have happened -felt very business oriented and not welcoming. Also, the food was buffet style, which is fine for a brunch, however even drinks were not served to the table, which at 60/person w/ tip is something I would have liked such as refits on coffee and etc. -also do not like tipping ahead of time and I do like to base on services. I will stick with coffee and casual meals for the Lynhall from now on -which is more their thing.
Always a wonderful experience at the Lynhall! Excellent food, service, a fabulous space with a community energy feel! Tonight was especially amazing with the speaker Dr Emmons! My group of 6 women were thoroughly impressed ❤️
Fun place--unique atmosphere. Dinner menu was a bit limited, but everyone found something to like.
Excellent food - just 'different' enough. Get the short ribs (no bones, just fall apart beef. And the fries (share amongst 3 or 4!). Parking lot just to its side. Don't leave your goodies out in your car, but don't freak out at their sign about folks roving for cars.
Our only very small 'beef' was that 1) we'd made a reservation just before, 2) we'd tried to call in that we'd be late by 15 min., but their phone doesn't accept incoming calls or mesg!, 3) my friends beat me there, and we ended up at a very small table, 4) another larger one looked like it had been reserved for us (we called it to their attention, but they said we were mistaken)., it went empty all evening.
BUT compared to all of the many good things associated with this wonderful dinner - it was a very small error.
We would absolutely come back for a lunch, dinner or brunch (which sounded great). They also have a party room in the back... which I will remember!
We had wonderful food here, the most tender lamb chop either of us had ever eaten, and delicious chick pea panisse as well. So glad the Lynhall does the community discussions as we learned a lot at the panel on Asian food and who owns it. Thanks!
It was a joy to enjoy delicious food, attentive, but unobtrusive service, and lively surroundings. And the panel about Asian food was fascinatingly useful. Thank you.
The Lynhall is beautiful and welcoming. I didn't realize it was an "order at the counter" establishment when deciding to go there and it seemed out of place with the decor and prices. The most disappointing part of our evening was the food. 3 out of 4 entrees were served lukewarm even though one of them was served in a cast iron skillet. When this was mentioned to one of the staff he apologized, which didn't solve the problem. If you go to the Lynhall stick with the cold platters and snacks.
This was an excellent atmosphere for our ladies night out! With a large party it was great because each person can order and pay at the counter anything that works for them and then enjoy eating and drinking at leisure. We all enjoyed the delicious food and desserts too!
The new menu is very good. We also find that The Lynhall is a great spot for a large group and for children.
Greg: thank you for your kind words. We are thrilled with the new menu our amazing Chef Kristin Tyborski and Pastry Chef Katie Elsing have rolled out. We are excited to hear you feel the same and look forward to welcoming you back to The Lynhall. Warm regards, Anne
This was our third time to Lynhall. The first two visits were spectacular. Beautiful restaurant, interesting food, great menu options and a friendly staff. We had a party of six and dined there on Sunday evening. We had reservations as we were celebrating a special occasion. On every occasion it was a miss. The timings were extremely slow at every stage of our meal including bar service, apps and the entrees. The food was delivered cold and over done. We did not eat most if it. We did not get one of our guest's entree's until after everyone was done eating. We did not even get some of the food we ordered. There was no check back from our server on how we were doing to rectify the situation. When I paid the bill I told the server this was a rough experience and explained some of what I just mentioned. She politely smiled and asked how if I was ready to check out.
I am so hopeful this was a one off experience and Lynhall just had a bad night, but I am not sure we will be back and we were such huge fans of the concept.
Yikes, we dropped the ball at every turn on your visit and we so apologize! We always appreciate feedback as it is crucial to our ability to strengthen our team and in turn provide the best experience for our guests. I would love the opportunity to further my understanding of your experience, learn from it and make things right. Would you be willing to connect further by phone? Incredibly grateful to you for taking the time to let us know we missed the mark on this visit. Warm regards, Anne
We had such a wonderful time at the LynHall! The service was great, the ambience was calm, welcoming and warm! The food was delicious-get the brace short rib or the salmon! Also, the broccoli with kale is amazing! Capital A -amazing!!! We will be back for sure! My only complaint is that parking in uptown gets kind of hairy sometimes-so make sure you arrive a couple minutes before your reservation so you can secure parking… But the staff were wonderful the food quality was great and the chef even came over and said hello to us!
Thank you for your kind words. It is always so wonderful to hear our team executed on all fronts which is what we strive for everyday! We agree with the parking and are grateful the snow has melted and the snow emergency/parking restrictions have been lifted by the City of Minneapolis! We look forward to welcoming you back to The Lynhall! Warm regards, Anne
Great ambience and value for the cost. Beautiful, spacious rooms with nice décor and friendly and attentive staff.
