WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?

The Lucky Well Incubator is a first-of-its-kind shared kitchen incubator at 10th and Spring Garden Streets, created by Chef Chad Rosenthal in which hand-selected food entrepreneurs are chosen to showcase their culinary talent, gain restaurant ownership experience and take advantage of a one-of-a-kind business mentorship scenario.

The experience and opportunity will create a food-focused playground and bar for guests, and will forge a brand new community for the culinary entrepreneurs to establish their businesses, build connections, and begin pursuing their entrepreneurial dreams, while sharing a space with their peers for four months.

    Subpar food - except the burger. Literally nothing else was worth eating. Tapas shrimp was in an oil bath & was $2 additional for 2 pieces if bread. (Thats insane) Potatoe Bravas was NOT crispy and COVERED in sauce. Asparagus was nice, approx. 8 pieces for $14. 😭 Fish & chips - one piece of fish! Drinks were very basic. The burger was the STAR. And the reason to go. Disappointed.

    The food and service by Emmie (sp) was excellent! BBQ from Lucky Well is about as good as it gets! However couple of suggestions. If u order from more than one concept, such as Tapas and BBQ, the food coming out should be organized. Unfortunately, the BBQ came out right away, about 5 minutes after ordering, and the cod and veggies took 30 minutes. Unfortunately one person in our party had to watch us eat BBQ, and then we watched her eat her seafood. So while I love the concept of multiple restaurants acting like one, such as one menu, our experience had the feel of a food court when everyone gets their food at a different time. Also one can’t find a menu. I was planning to have Paella , but unfortunately that was no longer on the menu offered last night. Otherwise good experience/concept that could have been a lot better.

    I had gone to Lucky Well Incubator specifically to enjoy the food from Hatch Cover. But it was my bad luck that Hatch Cover wasn't operating that night.  I had cod over ratatouille from Philly Tapas, which was fine. My friend had a pulled pork sandwich and baked beans from Lucky Well. She ordered a side of slaw, and when the server told her there would be slaw on the sandwich, she ordered the baked beans. Halfway through her sandwich, she realized there was no slaw. The server checked with the kitchen and was told the slaw hadn't been delivered that day, but they were going to get some cabbage the next day. So not helpful. She wasn't crazy about the dry, pulled pork, and no accommodations were made for the missing slaw. All in all, an underwhelming experience.

    This place has such an interesting concept - it’s basically four restaurants in one and you can order from any of the four menus. We went with barbecue and it did not disappoint. The chefs are rotating (I think they said every three months) and I would love to go back to try the other food!

    I have been here before and the food was great, server service was a bit slow and they took a long time to replenish water but the food trumped all of that. I came last night and they were out of what we usually get which dampened the mood but we were recommended something else, which was good but not nearly enough food. I ordered a drink and didn’t get it until 45 minutes later. I tired to make eye contact with the server but it seemed like he was avoiding us because of the drink situation. It was really disheartening and disappointing bc we had such a nice experience last time. By that time we were gonna ask for the check and ask for the drink to be taken off but literally as he came and gave us the drink and I didn’t even want it at that point. I was kinda mad we still had to pay for it after waiting so long.

    The Lucky Well is a very clever concept and it is certainly cool to be able to order from four different menus. But if you don’t have enough waitstaff on the floor, it wouldn’t matter if Eric Ripert and Wolfgang Puck were cooking in the kitchen! It took us 1.5 HOURS (!) to get all of our food! We walked in at 6:30 and didn’t get our last entree until 8:00 pm! The food was tasty, but my husband’s chili arrived just warm—not hot; the server forgot about the beverage I ordered to accompany my entree, my scallop ceviche was a ridiculously small portion for $14, and miso really didn’t add much to the turkey collards. There were only 2 waitresses last night and the service, and food, suffered because of that. Will not go back to the Lucky Well!

    This second visit to the Lucky Well was as good as the first time. Our party enjoyed the entire menu of Philly Tapas and a delicious ginger cocktail from the bar. Chef Hatim created an extraordinary culinary experience from the tapas - croquettes, grilled veggies, potatoes and more to the main courses of his signature seafood paella, fried codfish and beef cheek. The flavor experience culminated with his own extraordinary take on tarta de queso! To call this confection a cheesecake is not sufficient… it is creamy, smooth and melts on the plate before your eyes… a MUST HAVE ITEM at the Lucky Well!

    This was an awesome find ! They do a great job and all those chefs in there are actually cooking their own dishes during service ! Hopefully they all get their own restaurants if that is what they want ! Fish sandwich awesome …. Chicken croquettes awesome ! Bbq maple burnt ends awesome ! And the fish sandwich was killer and I hate tartar sauce ! Keep going !

    Old Spaghetti factory. Parking is a bit of an issue… drove around a few times but did find street parking. We had Tapas, barbecue , pizza and seafood. We enjoyed all of it but highlight was the clam chowder and pizza. Thanks.
