Food Network Star and restaurateur Chad Rosenthal has been recognized as one of the most talented purveyors of barbecue in the Delaware Valley.
His critically acclaimed Memphis-style ribs, brisket, smoked chickens and side dishes are unquestionably some of the best barbecue one can find north of the Mason Dixon line. Chad expanded his menu and brand, to include comfort food, a full à la carte menu, a full service Whiskey bar and a live music lounge... Also featured will be a Southern Style Brunch on Sundays, all day, all night....
The bar at The Lucky Well features a top-shelf whiskey collection, which naturally compliment the flavors coming out of the kitchen, along with craft-brewed beers and classic cocktails. Cocktails will include some of the ingredients used in the cooking process.

The Lucky Well Ratings and Reviews
Upon entry, we (party of 2) were not greeted at the door as the hostess was not there. The bartender called over and said we were welcome to grab a table anywhere. Our waitress was nice, and the food was good but the wait for the food was extra long - approx. 45 minutes (and there was only one other group of about 8 people). With only 10 patrons, the wait should not be that long. Since we were on a lunch break, we literally had to request to-go boxes when our food arrived at the table. All in all, the food was good, the ambiance was casual, and the staff was friendly, but I would not go back based on the long wait and limited menu.
While the food we received was great, the service was slow and a bit inefficient.
Unfortunately didn't get to try the brisket or the sausage because they were sold out, which we weren't told until well after ordering. It's was a Wednesday so missing two of the six main menu items is a bit disappointing. The manager (or a man who seemed manager-esque) let us know, was nice about it and comped our appetizers.
Our waitress was unaware of menu items and their availability. She also was mostly inattentive and we went without water for long periods of time. Food was delicious. Just an inefficient waitress can go a long way in forming an opinion of a place.
Unfortunately my experience this time was not as good as the first time. The Baby Back Ribs were burnt and the service was poor. They did not have enough staff on to handle the Mother's Day crowd. The waitress seemed frazzled and forgot our drinks the second time around.
Love love LOVE this place...Great wait staff...excellent drink menu...closest thing to real BBQ I've had since I lived in the west...tasty apps...and just the right amount of menu items that you don't feel overwhelmed! Told our friends best brisket I've had since I lived in Colorado which is saying a LOT...and of course it was the hit of the table! Can't wait to go back...it was our friends first time and they just raved about it all night!
This is a local treasure in Ambler, with great food, great music, and a terrific crowd of people. The barbecue is the best. The ribs are the best I've had anywhere, and the burger my son ordered was huge. They have live music on Fridays and Saturdays, and the Saturday crowd was lively, fun, and energetic. An excellent venue.
We went to The Lucky Well for our wedding anniversary. The service started a bit slow, maybe due to a larger than expected Sunday night crowd, but it settled in as dinner went on. The food was outstanding. The Simply Spinach salad was exactly that, with slivers of apple and an incredible dressing. The Chicken Brunswick Stew with Brisket was bold and spicy, with large chunks of brisket & potato. The BBQ ribs, served on a cookie sheet, just fell off the bone.
Add to this a large assortment of whiskeys and scotches and you have a solid dining experience.
The restaurant is clean, and staffs are very friendly.
There are live band and dancing; space is very tight.
The menu is limited to meat lovers. It is an actual bbq restaurant.
The brisket I had was very dry and tasteless, and it didn't come with any gravy or sauce to help it slide down the throat. All bbq meat were smoked we were told, not recommended for sensitive stomach. My friends and I couldn't stop burping. Our husband ordered sausages; they were good and large portions.
I will not go back but try it for yourself because the place was packed obviously, unlike me, people must like the food there. I hope that helps.
Great restaurant! This is the second time there. There was a party of 8 and everyone enjoyed there meals. Burgers are great and so is the brisket. Prices are reasonable however I will the sides are overpriced for what you get. Waitress was very attentive to our big group.
Great comfortable place to enjoy great food and listen to great music.
