About The Lucky Monk
When you name your restaurant after Trappist monks who've spent centuries perfecting their craft, you're serious about your beer. That's why we hired a master to craft our house brews and why our beer list spans the globe. With everything from refreshing pilsners that match the lightness of our thin-crust pizza to dark, rich ales that stand up to our decadent burgers, you're certain to find a new favorite at The Lucky Monk. We're sure that our Prime beef burgers — served with hand-cut fries — will be the juiciest you've ever had. Our other house specialty is pizza. It is crisp and generously topped with fresh ingredients. And we round out our menu with vibrant, flavorful salads; a handful of classic, satisfying American entrées; and some sweet surprises.

The Lucky Monk Ratings and Reviews
Casual lively a little loud but not overwhelmingly so. Menu could use some updating but my burger (BBQ with crispy onions) was very good as always. My friend ordered mini fish tacos - 5 were included and it was enough with the rice and accompaniments. She enjoyed them. Our server was fairly attentive and timely in bringing our meals. It's a great place to go after a movie at AMC next door.
Second time here. First time there I ordered the Monk Burger well done and it was really good an juicy.
This second time there, today, I ordered the Monk Burger again well done, only this time a double Burger, and I was surprised because it was EXTREMELY DRY. It was DEFINITELY over cooked, or over held, one of the driest burgers I have ever had.
My wife and I were with my 5-year old daughter, she was tired and irritable, so I didn’t want to send it back, and then have to wait, so I ate as much as I could before the dryness was too much. The edges of the Burger were actually burnt.
Had it just been my wife and I -no daughter -I would have sent it back.
Too bad ...the first time there was really nice
The service was horrible. We sat with no silverware after we had already gotten our food. The server dropped the appetizer plate on the table, spilt one of the guests beer and didn't even offer to replace the beer. I was with another couple and the server took there appetizer order but we were never asking if we wanted one, she just walked away. Then when it came to ordering she took everyone's order except for my boyfriends, he literally just had to tell her and then repeat himself after because she didn't hear the first time. Was never asked if anyone wanted another drink. She was MIA the majority of the time. It was my first time there and from that experience I will not be returning. Taylor either was having a bad day or serving just isn't for her!
When my wife and I first visited, we loved the place. Each consecutive time we have gone back, the experience has been worse and worse. Most recently, seated at a table near the back, where it was drafty. Medium burger was very nearly well done. The lettuce and tomatoes tasted like week old produce.
The waitress was nice though.
This was our second time co I got here. We came back because we had great service and food. The hamburgers are the bomb! We also liked the pulled pork and pizza. Dan (the man ) was our waiter and was on top everything and very nice! Was a great first time experience for my daughter., who didn’t get to go the first time. Definitely will keep coming back.
Very disappointed with the LM this time out. Reservation was made well in advance and restaurant even contacted me the day of to confirm which I did.
My party of 7 was seated in a poorly heated, small, side room (easily 25 degrees colder than the rest of the restaurant) that was jam packed with other patrons...most of which were still wearing their coats while eating (which 4 in my party had to do as well). This may have been ok had there not been plenty of other tables available for us to be seated in other areas of the main restaurant. Service was slow (likely because we were in a closed off room) and food was very, very slow to arrive and was ill prepared (cold, wrong ingredients, etc.).
What typically has been an enjoyable spot has now been placed on our “do not return” list.
We had a large party to begin with & then added to it, but they took it in stride and gave us a table with a beautiful view of the pond. The service was excellent - very efficient and attentive without being intrusive. Food was good, we like the Monk because it has a variety of offerings that are a bit unique for us (coming from out of town) and everything tasted really good. Our favorite part, tho, was when the hostess called to confirm our reservation. My family was on the road to Chicago when she called & we had her on speaker - we were laughing & joking and she just joined right in. She's our new favorite Monk person!
Very busy with people waiting for tables when we arrived the week before Christmas. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The food was good and the servers were all excellent. Very responsive but we never felt rushed. Great experience and great beer!
Made a reservation for 8 on a Saturday night. Table was ready as soon as we arrived. Server didn't push us at all and let us enjoy the evening. Everyone enjoyed their meals and were impressed by the quantity. Priced appropriately and good beer menu. Would recommend to arrive a little early to search for a parking spot.
Met some friends for a Christmas luncheon. Everyone had a salad and raved about how good it was. Don’t miss the great martinis. Our server was so friendly and let us sit and talk. She was very attentive whenever we needed something. Even though we didn’t have a burger, we saw them go by and they looked fabulous. Very cozy atmosphere and a sports bar if that’s what you want.
Waitress was great! She was constantly refilling drinks Andy making sure we were having a good time. It was quite loud in the resturant, it was a bit hard to hear the person sitting rights next to me. The tacos we’re okay, the sweet potato fries were amazing and the burger was good. Overall, had a good time just wish it wasn’t a little more quiet and casual.
