Anniversary. Enjoyed the restaurant. Food was good. Server offered us a creme broulais to celebrate (not a favorite of ours but nice they offered.) Would go back again - not at top of our list though.
Excellent service. Chop house has been our go to for special occasions for years.
It’s time to update. Wild salmon, not farmed. More grass fed beef.
Flavors are always excellent. But sustainability needs to be a priority.
Best steak we’ve had in a longtime! Great food, great service, a must try!
This is my favorite restaurant, I love it!! Food is outstanding, and I like Sunday night deals with the wine special!!
Outstanding in every way!! Wait staff was professional and friendly.
DO NOT - book this via Open Table - they admitted to us on arrival that booking direct will give preferential seating. Our guests had fond memories of this restaurant and all of us were very disappointed. We were put at a table in the very back separate room with 2 large birthday party groups. We made our concerns known to the hostess and wait staff and the management could not even bother to talk with us about the situation.
Excellent steaks as always - thanks for the great food and great service.
Good food, excellent service
We celebrated 2 birthdays and the chop house is the place to go !the guys enjoyed their birthday desserts ! The wedge salads were loaded! Mmmmm! The main courses- perfect! We will always come here for our special occasions!!!
Amazing experience for a first time visitor! Thank you for the great service and amazing food!
Very very good
This was our second visit to the chop house- the first visit was totally spectacular, which is why we came back for our 10 year wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, our experience was not quite as superb this time. The food was still amazing, but the overall experience left something to be desired... I had made a reservation, and while we arrived right on time, we had to wait about 10 minutes for our table. Then, the first two wine choices I made from the menu were not available. Our waitress did not ask if we were celebrating anything (even though we were all dressed up and exchanged gifts at the table), and then it took over 15 minutes for our wine to arrive and her to come back to take our order. Once our order was in, we waited over 30 minutes for food- I asked her if our food was coming soon, and she said there was a big table in front of us. Then, when she brought the steaks out, she made the excuse that they were thicker than usual and that is what took so long. Finally, when she brought our ticket, it was an empty folder with no check inside, so we had to catch her again to get our check. At this point, we had been at the restaurant over 1.5 hours and were ready to move on! On the plus side, the wine and food were delicious and the atmosphere was still good. I just would expect a more proficient waitress at such a nice (and pricey) establishment.
My Filet was good, not great.
Mashed potatoes and mushrooms too salty to eat.
Caesar salad wasn’t cool or crisp. Sort of wilted.
Disappointed. Was really good 2 years ago.☹️
We love the chop house. Great food and great service as always. We will definitely be back .
Hubby date night
Sooo disappointing. Really, for the prices you charge, you make as little effort as possible to give your plates ANY appeal at all. A $35 filet slapped on a plate with a risotto side—both looking sad and lonely. Could you put a little watercress on the plate? Plus, the meat was cold. When someone is dining out for $$, the visual presentation is as important to the diner as the taste....and it’s such a small thing. Plus your special was a little dry, balsamic reduction minimal and too salty (MSG?).
We definitely had great service. The waiter knew what she was talking about and make great recommendations. Then the food came out and it went above and beyond expectations. Would recommend. Will return.
The building is interesting, and the restaurant has a nice, relaxed feel to it. Food choices are equally comfortable, and reasonably well executed. The filet I had was an excellent piece of meat, and well prepared. The salmon my wife ordered was a tad overdone, but way over seasoned. The broccoli, on the other hand, was under cooked, but also over seasoned. The creme brulee was tasty, but more like creme noirci, a little too long under the torch. May have just caught them on an off night, or when someone on the finishing line was having a bad day. Nits aside, the service (thank you Miss Emily) was excellent, proactive and friendly, and between it, the quality of the steak and the reasonableness of the prices, I would definitely return.
Server was amazing. shrimp/scallop appetizer was amazing. steak filet with brandied mushrooms and a side of asparagus, fantastic. Not from
the area but would come back just to have that dinner again. Topped it off with a complimentary dessert for my man’s birthday! 10/10!!!
Wonderful service, amazing food! The New York Steak was one of the best I’ve had!!
I had to return my ravioli because it hardly had any ravioli and the sauce was runny. Then everything started to take a long time. They offered to bring a new dish out and comped my dish as well as the ravioli and a dessert. That was great and made it worth it. The server and manager were very nice. Just surprised I had to return food. Even if the ravioli was good, it didn’t seem to be worth the cost.
Very good filet. Great waitress. A little noisy. Will be back.
We have been going to the LCH for a number of years. It has always been our go to for special occasions. We also love the Sunday wine night. Unfortunately, we will be finding a new go to special occasion restaurant. Over the last year plus have had to endure over cooked entrees nearly every time. Staff is friendly, but seems to have gotten used to complaints. The menu has not been updated for a very long time either and is getting a bit boring. One entree that seems to be consistent are the scallops. I'd heed the other reviews before making a reservation. The food is certainly not worth the asking price, especially when typically being over cooked. Not sure who the chef is, but seems to be more of a "cook" than a chef. Would expect this quality from a middle of the road restaurant, not a high end one like LCH. I'd pass at this point.
We were here for a birthday celebration. The food was awful, the sides were awful, the service was OK and the price was $200 for four of us. We’re never going back.
Anniversary dinner. Fantastic wine night experience.
Wow! Our meal was great, service attentive and prompt, noise level easy going. I could actually hear my husband speaking to me. Not really a complaint but the price would keep this a once a year special dinner out. Thanks for a lovely evening😎
Best Steaks & drinks in Colorado!
Menu is limited, but good and just slightly overpriced.
We were referred here for a celebration my family was having. Most of our experience was good (drinks, service and appetizer). The meals/dessert were not so good - I ordered a New York Strip with broccoli. The steak was bland, over cooked and one side was a bit crispy. Also, the broccoli was so over salted I couldn’t finish it. We ordered a variety of desserts - the chocolate slab cake was dry.
For what we the price we paid, I was hoping for much better food.
Great food and ambiance.
We go there on every big occasion and it never disappoints..the food has always been great and the service excellent..
They go out of their way to make it special..
This is a great place for a romantic dinner or an evening out with friends. Service was outstanding and the food met our expectations.
These folks keep on doing things right and building customer loyalty through excellent service and food. We arrived a touch early for our reservation and due to tables not clearing when thought, we had to wait to be seated. The hostess seated us at the bar and after we were seated, comped us for our cocktails because we were delayed. This unexpected kindness was well appreciated indeed!
My wife and I came for our 10 year anniversary. Underwhelmed by my experience. We were seated directly behind the hostess table when the restaurant was near empty when we arrived. A couple that came in behind us walked in with no reservation and were seated at one of the nicer “reserved” booths above. We found that odd but made no issue. Then we waited while the people who came in behind us were greeted and ordered drinks before anyone came over to us. Again, we made no issue. Eventually our waitress came over and got our drink orders and she did a fine job from there. The pork belly appetizer was delicious. Other than our appetizer though, the food was under seasoned and bland. My wife had the NY Strip and I had the filet, Both were cooked perfectly to temperature but both needed salt, badly. My wife had the Risotto, also under-seasoned. I guess I just expected better for the amount $$$. This was our first time at the Loveland Chop House, I doubt we will return.
Very good service, the meal was delicious, I had the New York cut steak done to perfection, it would melt in your mouth.
Great place, great food! My favorite restaurant in Loveland!
It was a very lovely experience and the food was absolutely well done and packed with flavor! Their pork belly appetizer was paired with pickles, which I was skeptical about, but upon first bite it was really an explosion of sharp flavors that blended well! The steak melted in my mouth and I couldn't get over how perfectly it was cooked. I'll definitely be returning again, totally worth the prices!
I ordered the scallops with risotto with cheddar and broccoli. The scallops were over cooked and the sherry cream sauce wasn’t my favorite and the side was bland. My bf had a NY steak and that he thought was delicious. His potato side was average. Our server was great!
Excellent! Our filet was prepared perfectly, melted in your mouth.
