We had a wonderful experience , the food was excellent, and our server Matt was great.
Everything about our visit was amazing
They have the best shrimp and grits, however I wish Love had more options on their menu. The brunch menu is a bit flat for me…
The food is great. Nice selection and beautiful presentation.
The staff is friendly and attentive.
Fathers Day. Was wonderful.
Celebrating anniversary weekend. 3rd Starr experience for the weekend. Salad was outstanding. My wife loved her salmon dish but my entree was average. Unfortunately the grits were not hot enough to melt the butter so that makes for a disappointing dish. Dessert was delightful and the recognition of our anniversary made it more special. Service was great until our entree was served. Waiter was scarce after that. Coffee was served with no spoon and long wait to get the check. Overall, we had a good time but it would have been outstanding with a little more attentive service.
Andrew was very great and he was so patient with my great Aunt which I really appreciated! Will dine again.
Delicious parfait dessert and Gin and juice cocktail
Lovely decor. Waitstaff Sophie was attentive as was the manager the stopped by my table. Salmon was terrific. Very enjoyable evening!
The best rissoto was amazing. Incredible wait staff, love the Covid outdoor dining set up
We ate outside. That’s why it was noisy (trucks). Service was cordial and attentive. The fried chicken looked scrumptious and the portion was generous for lunch. Half went home, presumably for dinner. I had the salmon grain bowl, which was outstanding. The salmon was fresh and the vinaigrette dressing had a bit of a sour citrus bite that was a perfect foil for the grains.
I look forward to my next meal at The Love!
Our server, Shannon, was outstanding and went out of her way to make us happy and so well attended to!
Great food and great atmosphere! Had a wonderful birthday dinner there.
Every dish was delicious, it was a night of culinary delights, with superb service.
If you enjoy Starr Restaurants, then you will not be disappointed by The Love! Everything from making reservations to paying the bill was exceptional! Will definitely be going back again.
We’ve been to The Love 5-6 times, for brunch, dinner, with friends, with kids, and just us. The food and service continue to set the bar in the Philly dining scene. We had the ahi tuna and cheese plate as appetizers, both new to us, and each was excellent. Our entrees and dessert were also absolutely top notch. Their cocktails are always excellent as well. Definitely one of our favorite spots.
Such a fun restaurant. Food was inventive and quite delicious. Service was friendly and not overbearing.
Limited lunch menu so my favorite. Service was very good and outdoor space too.
We were celebrating a 70th birthday and looking forward to a special meal. Both of us felt that the entrees lacked flavor. The salad and dessert were very good. The staff were very nice and helpful.
Everything was delicious even the drinks and the service was really good and fast.
Noted that we’d indicated shellfish allergy on our reservation, and took care to ensure there were no problems
It’s a very nice spot, it’s chill and extremely friendly
Food was amazing and service great. Loved the beet risotto- gorgeous on the plate, and the short rib pasta also wonderful, as was soup and dessert. The rolls were good, served warm with nice butter, but not great and made me wonder what the fuss was about in the reviews. Maybe it's the fact that they are whole grain that makes them attractive in some sense and less in others (like taste). Would skip the rolls next time. There will be a next time.
Back to Philly after moving out of the city 6 years ago. The food was amazing, but we didn’t enjoy sitting outside on the street. I think I would rate all categories 5 stars if we sat inside.
Great time great food
Terrific food and outstanding service
Incredible comfort food. We loved the buffalo cauliflower and hushpuppies. The cheese plate was so fresh. The brisket entree was delicious but we also needed to save room for dessert. The service was impeccable. We sat outside and loved the little outdoor pods. We’d highly recommend it and will definitely be back.
This wasn’t our first visit to The Love. Our experience was not as great as we hoped given past experience. First the Manager was amazing and served us as much as our server. Our drinks were great but almost each dish we had tasted like it was too tart or had too much of a vinegar taste. From the beet risotto to the pulled brisket pasta. We were there when they first opened which is rarely a good idea so we take some of the ownership and they accommodated an early arrival so just Again service was very good.
The Love Bird and collared greens were incredible!
The brisket tasted good but we were expecting something more like classic brisket.
Staff was fantastic
We ate outside, so it was a little stressful with traffic going by. But food was great, brunch portions are larger than expected and service was quick and friendly.
Wonderful date night with hubby. The entire package at The Love made a much awaited evening out perfect. Only minor downside was noise level. I am soft spoken to begin with so I had to speak up.
Young, hip crowd...eclectic but tasty food, a bit pricey. Service was excellent.
As ever, the food was absolutely superb. Service (the server, not the host or the runners) fell well short of pre-pandemic standards and is not what one expects at this price level.
Great food. Great atmosphere. Great service.
Great experience! Amazing food and service!
Worth the visit. The fried chicken and grits are the best.
The food, outstanding, the atmosphere, outstanding, the drinks outstanding !
Overall a great night out
Simply wonderful. Every single bite was fabulous. Lovely dining room. Great experience.
We sat outside re the ambiance 3 star rating.
Truly a sign the city is coming back. Our server Matt knew the menu and made recommendations. All exceeded our expectations. The selection of specialty cocktails complements a unique menu packed with flavor. Very much look forward to returning to The Love.
