Each month we choose a spot for girls night out. Glad we chose The Love. First this is a beautiful restaurant, the detailed arches, the wood the warmth. Our server Nicolas(?) was very attentive and made great suggestions without being annoying. We shared Parker house rolls, Caesar salad and fried oysters. The rolls had the best chive butter I have ever tasted and the oysters were crunchy and flavorful. As well as the hush puppies that came with them. For entrees two had the scallops and one friend had their signature fried chicken. The scallops were perfectly seared and accompanied by a delicious stir fry. The fried chicken was tender and the grits reminded me of my grandmothers, creamy and buttery. 3 drinks, Manhattan, dirty martini and Moscow mule, all with more than enough alcohol. (I hate when I pay $15 for a cup of ice!) I thought the scallops were a bit pricey at $32, but the overall meal was so good that we didn’t mind the $200 bill. Lastly the staff, from the hostess to our server to the manger that came to our table, they were all fantastic.
We will return soon I’m sure.
LOVED THE LOVE. Amazing food and amazing mood. Perfect place for a date.
Great food choices! The menu offered many food combinations of flavors and textures; dishes that are classic with a twist, dishes that are unusual but comforting.
Wow! Amazing food, I was jealous of everything everyone else ordered and still would not have traded my dish which was an A+. I can’t remember any recent meal as wonderful, from the amazingly delicious food, to the beautiful surroundings and the wonderful service. So good!
We absolutely loved The Love. The pumpkin soup was out of this world - the best soup we’ve ever had. Our pumpkin ice cream dessert was also outstanding! Every item we ate was delicious and our service was wonderful. Our waitress, Lauren, took excellent care of us all.
We all had different meals. All good. Tough decision- so many good choices.
I really enjoyed my overall experience at The Love – the atmosphere, bar area, food and the service, like a well oiled machine. Starting with one of their specialty cocktails, Pity The Mule, I sipped on the spicy gingery concoction out of the copper mug while I waited for my 3 friends to arrive. Once at our table we split the cheese board which arrived with excellent accompaniments for each of the 8 american artisan cheeses and a little reference card. I loved this card idea, since you can never remember the name of your favorite cheese once you leave! Great attention to detail, and a theme woven into most every aspect of our night. We all shared the fried green tomatoes which were slightly oily but came with a delicious sauce that made me forget about the oil. I ordered the Sante Fe Salmon entree and it was cooked medium rare like I wanted, crispy skin and one of the most buttery, silky flesh I've had, just delicious. Served with sage, sweet potato, braised chard, apricot-ancho, coriander crema perfectly complimenting the fish. I'm still thinking about it today! Everyone ate every bit of their entrees which included the duck salad, the cauliflower risotto and the ricotta ravioli. Small wine selection but my Sav Blanc (NZ) was perfect. I thought the service was fantastic and the dessert we shared, the chocolate mousse bar came with crunchy peanut butter pretzel clusters, toasted pretzel ice-cream was so good I wished I had gotten it all for myself! I can't wait to go back and try some other dishes I saw on the menu. Final perk, is that The Love is located very close to multiple parking garages which makes it that much more convenient being just 2 blocks away when you are ready to go.
Whether I am with friends or coworkers, The Love always a wonderful experience with superb food!
Food and service were excellent. Our dishes has unique flavors which we appreciated. Love the decor and ambience as well
We asked for a quiet table for six. However, we were seated at a table immediately inside the entryway! It was not too distracting, as it was a Sunday evening and the restaurant was not full. The menu is not extensive, but what is offered is prepared exactingly. The mixed drinks were unique and tasty. The wait staff is attentive without being disruptive. The dessert menu is limited and seemed to be lacking in variety. Beautiful interiors. A high end, well appointed restaurant that I would frequent again.
Enjoyed Brunch very much, had a delicious chicken and waffle dish with pear, rosemary bellini. Our waiter was very attentive. Would highly recommend.
Amy Olexy you are a Shining 🌟.......
My Wife & Daughter 💕 “The Love”
Our Waitress was Awesome 👏
From check-in to picking up from coat check, everyone was friendly and accommodating. They truly go above and beyond.
Our second visit to The Love and it was as good as the first. Great menu. The environment is a little loud but in an energetic way.
Amazing food / experience
The chicken is the most popular, but the scallops were incredible. Also highly recommend the fried green tomato appetizer.
Upstairs was lovely for lunch. Didn’t know they had a room up there. Server was great & accommodating for baby in our group
The menu was great, and the service was very friendly. The reason I wrote is the totally weird table they sat us at. We had an 11:30am reservation, so the entire restaurant was empty when we arrived. Nonetheless , they took the two of us upstairs and sat us at a small table literally in the elevator lobby. Seriously, in the lobby. The door to the elevator was opening and closing, there were doors opening directly off the space into the kitchen and service areas, it was cold - very, very strange. This should NOT be a seating area - distracting, and we felt like we were not even in the restaurant proper. As a last resort table alright, but as the first choice?
I highly recommended this wonderful restaurant. I had the crispy duck salad which came with a whole confit duck breast. All of the apps and mains were delicious and there is an interesting cocktail menu. The service was great and is was not too loud for good conversation. I will definitely come here again.
Food was great!! Ambiance was great. We just wished for a little quieter night. But overall great.
The food was outstanding. The service impeccable. Just love the Love
Great cocktails. Bread was amazing. Madeleines were delicious. Abs the complimentary canapés were a wonderful surprise.
Both food and service were perfect -It's on our list for center city.
Good food, great service and awesome view of the city from the second floor. It was super loud because there was a group that was having a loud talk without being considerate to other guests. It was compensated by good food and great service
Fantastic food and spacious dining area. Staff was friendly and attentive.
The ambiance was cute, good for a date or dinner with friends/family. Delicious food and nice staff.
The best food, wine and dining experience that we’ve had in a long time.
The love was great. While they were a little crowded and could not seats us right at our reservation time we enjoyed a drink at the bar until we could be seated. The food was amazing and the wait staff was great as well. We will definitely be back to The Love!
Truly underwhelmed by our second visit. At this price level servers should be trained and knowledgeable. The food generally lacked finesse, with the exception of the halibut main course which was excellent. Mushroom toasts were mushy, the pumpkin soup overly sweet and overwhelmed by spices. A $48 steak should be cooked as ordered, not "well, almost". Desert madeleines flavor combinations didn't work at all. Disappointingly unworthy of the hype.
What a great place for an intimate dinner. A great atmosphere, lovely staff and delicious food!
Excellent meal from start to finish. Tight quarters but our table was in a little nook. Very loud.
Good is really amazing, every time we go. The noise level remains unpleasant.
Wonderful experience! Service (Meagan) was attentive but not overbearing. The charcuterie, tartare and ravioli were delicious as well as the cocktails. First visit to Philly, next time I will make sure I visit The Love again.
Great date restaurant. My wife and I had a fantastic dinner here. Highly recommended.
Fantastic place with a great menu.
Decor was amazing-service was some of the best I've ever had. Food came out quickly and was perfect.
Was there at lunch time and the place was abuzz.
Highly recommend and had a great experience.
Our lunch was good but prior visits have been much better.. The avocado turkey melt and prime rib sandwiches were served at room temperature and the homemade kettle chips were greasy. They need to work on serving their food at a more appropriate temp. Our server was very nice.
The Lovebird was amazing! Excellent food!
Wow! What a great experience. Our waitress Kiara was awesome. We had dinner before a show and did not know what to expect as this is our first time eating at The Love. The food was perfect - Try the Pumpkin Soup, Risotto and Ravioli. The Fried Chicken was also good but beware it is in a Hot Sauce. Drinks were well made and tasty. Cannot say enough good things about Kiara our waitress. She is the best we have had in awhile. We joked to ourselves - I wonder if we could just take Kiara wherever and whenever we go out to eat. We would just tell the restaurant, - "No we don't need a waitress, we come with our own, just show her the kitchen."
We will be back. We will give one suggestion to the restaurant, replace the chairs, they make way too much noise. Don't walk, Run to this restaurant and make a reservation.
