A very nice restaurant right off Rittenhouse Square with a comfortable and stylish dining room fit for dates or a well dressed evening out. Food was creative and well presented and service was warm and attentive. Look to spend about $150-$200 for a couple. I will definitely be back.
Beautiful atmosphere, excellent service and amazing food, must go!
The service was excellent (Tyler was our server) and we loved the food. The noise level made it very difficult to have a conversation so we left before dessert coffee etc. if it weren’t for that I’d give it a 5 for sure
Food was wonderful. Had the mushroom toast, fried chicken and acorn squash pomodoro - all beautifully done and served HOT! The service was okay, a half step below what we have come to expect from the Starr Organization.
Great Easter brunch: delicious food, great attentive service, and a sunny day—> SPECTACULAR
Very nice ambiance and friendly staff. A little noisy on the first floor (main dining level). We were directed to the second floor for a drink at a much quieter space, and ended up eating up there as well, which was really pleasant l
Delightful people and excellent food! We enjoyed a window view upstairs, which added to our experience. Some lovely managers and hostesses stopped by and we enjoyed their caring attention as well. Highly recommend.
It was very casual, food was okay. I can’t say I would go back.
The appetizers were great, especially the hush puppies. They honestly were the best part of the meal. I had the Chicken and Waffles and it was just “okay”. Passable, but nothing special by any means. The waffle was dry and chewy, the breading on the fairly dry chicken breast was falling off. Not enough sweet to balance the dish against what should have been a better salted piece of fried chicken.
We all had different things so I tried the frittata as well and the turkey melt, all which were just okay. The seasoning wasn’t there, there were execution issues across the board. In fairness, I had been told that this was a very “okay” restaurant but I held out for the best, especially since the appetizers were great.
Pro-tip: save your money and don’t come for dinner or brunch. Come for a happy hour with apps and you won’t be disappointed. Stay for dinner and leave wishing you hadn’t spent $24 dollars on an entree that left you asking “why?”.
Fabulous place, we had wonderful time
The love was delicious, we got the Lobster Spaghetti and rolls as an app, both of these were phenomenal. I got the ribs and they were amazing, my date got the fried chicken and it was probably my least favorite thing but it was still pretty good. Definitely go!
Service was outstanding, excellent recommendations from bar tender & waitress. Food & beverages were above our expectations.
The food, ravioli in garlic sauce and the portabella mushroom with burrata, were both superb. The service was excellent. The decor is very pleasing and the ambient noise level was moderate, allowing one to have a conversation without having to speak loudly. Overall, a memorable luncheon and a restaurant I would return to, again and again.
The service and the food was very good. I did not like my entree and they immediately offered to get me something else but I was pretty full with my side dish. They took it off my bill and were very pleasant the entire time. I love all of Stephen Starr’s restaurants and this one is no exception.
Lovely place for a special celebratory lunch.
Food was excellent and atmosphere is warm and comfortable.
Perfect place for an out-of-town business guest. Wonderful representation of Philly!
The service was great, and the food was delicious! Glad I spent my birthday dinner here.
Excellent service and food. Cannot remember servers name but he provided outstanding menu recommendations (mushroom toast)
The reason I would not recommend The Love is it is way too expensive for food that is equal in taste and quality to lesser expensive restaurants in the City. The food was fine but truly nothing to get excited about so, $80 for brunch for two people (with no appetizer, no dessert and only 1 alcohol based drink) is really excessive.
Great for brunch. Loved the pancakes. Hush puppies and olive cheese ball were the best. Impeccable service. Highly recommend. Hope to go again for dinner.
Serice fine, food adequate, previous dinner far superior. would return for dinner
Beautiful space. Wonderful menu. Educated and happy servers. Food that was some of finest we have very had.
Food and drinks were fantastic! I loved out seat by the window on the second floor and ambiance of the restaurant. My only complaint was service was a little slow.
Overall a really fun experience. The food was fantastic - very tasty and interesting. Menu is broken down into 3 parts: basically starters, pastas (which are large-appetizer sized), and mains. Everything was definitely shareable. The service was excellent: friendly and very accommodating, particularly with some dietary restrictions in our group. A great place to go with friends or family.
Great food and great drink selection. We had a food allergy in our party, and after explaining the allergy, the first course came out with the allergen on the plate. When we alerted our server, she was annoyed with us, which made for an awkward dining experience with our interactions with her for the rest of the night. Other than that, it was a great experience.
Took my husband for his birthday. Had a wonderful meal...shared the cheese plate, asparagus, whole branzino and the halibut. Everything was delicious! Our server was very attentive and personable. A little pricey, but would definitely go back for a special occasion.
This place was lovely, with great service and delicious, unique dishes. My family enjoyed dinner here, we ate at 7pm on a Friday night. We had to get a reservation in advance, the place fills up!
Restaurant had great layout very cozy feel. Food was great and place was buzzing for a thursday night. Will definitely go back
Love The Love!
Excellent food and loved the atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to others.
The service was good and attentive however the price of the food compared to the quality was certainly unreasonable. I was expecting better from a downtown Rittenhouse restaurant.
The restaurant was so noisy we could not carry on a conversation. It is too bad to not want to recommend or return to what could be a lovely spot because of excessive noise.
First time atThe Love and it exceeded our expectations. Great staff, excellent food and the ambiance was perfect. We will be back.
The food and drinks were great...the food was cooked to perfection....drinks were solid good pours
Each course AND the cocktails were amazing. Beautiful atmosphere and perfect service!
I loved it!!! The cheese ball at brunch was my favorite.
The Love has quickly become one of my favorite places to dine at in the City. The food and service are consistently good.
