All in all nice but a few things not happy with. Felt the champagne option for £50 was falsely advertised as 2 drinks with x…and y on the menu but we only got 1 for £14 per head extra! Not impressed by that and the server ever stated it’s ‘cheeky how they word it to trap you’. The food was lovely but the sandwiches were disappointing- not interesting fillings and the bread was dry as if it had been left out a while. I don’t feel it was worth £110 for 2 people.

We had a traditional afternoon tea at 4pm ….. we asked for just finger sandwiches with scones cream and Jam, both had tea. The sandwiches were tail end of the day , one thick ham sandwich one very thin, one really well filled cheese and pickle one slim With only half the bread with pickle on it … slightly dry edges. Scones were tiny , two of each plain and fruit.. lovely flavour…. Overall the value just wasn’t there for us to return again, I would have thought that asking to exclude the cakes the final cost would have reflected that especially at 4 pm but all too late to change that now. It is an absolutely stunning Manor , the grounds are truly stunning and remarkably peaceful.

Set within the picturesque Kent countryside, the manor offers a charming atmosphere that promises a memorable experience. However, certain aspects fell short of expectations. Food Quality: A Culinary Delight The afternoon tea selection was a treat for the taste buds. The sandwiches, scones, and pastries were fresh and flavorful, showcasing quality ingredients and attention to detail. Particularly noteworthy were the warm scones served with clotted cream and homemade jam, which added a touch of indulgence to the meal. The variety of teas offered complemented the food well, enhancing the overall dining experience. Service: A Slow Start Despite the high quality of the food, the service left much to be desired. Upon arrival, there was no one to greet us, leading to initial confusion about where to go. After eventually being seated, we experienced significant delays. Our tea arrived promptly, but the food took over 30 minutes to reach our table. The staff seemed overwhelmed, possibly due to the lounge being particularly busy that day. While the staff were polite, the slow service detracted from the overall experience. Ambiance: A Beautiful Setting with Room for Improvement The setting of Eastwell Manor is undeniably beautiful. The oak-panelled lounge and views of the garden create a serene environment perfect for afternoon tea. However, the guest area was cluttered with bain-maries placed on the floor near the entrance, which was unexpected and detracted from the otherwise elegant surroundings. Conclusion: Worth a Visit with Caution While the food quality at Eastwell Manor's afternoon tea is commendable, the service and ambiance could benefit from attention to detail. If you're seeking a picturesque setting with delicious offerings, it may be worth a visit. However, be prepared for potential delays.

We arrived at reception, two members of staff one on the phone one standing by computer. We stood for 10 minutes totally ignored. Another member of staff then appeared, we informed him we had a booking we where asked to take a seat in reception another long wait, we noticed people arriving and being shown to the tea room. At this point I approached reception and explained we have been waiting a while, at this point we were shown to a table. At the table the afternoon tea arrived with no introduction of the serving, the table presentation poor no knives, tea strainer resulting in poor service another wait. The sandwiches where poorly prepared the bread was dry as if it had been sitting on the plate for a while, no pastry server, Overall a very poor experience for my wife’s 70th birthday I would not recommend this venue.

Beautiful surroundings and house. The afternoon tea was excellent, overall good service. We’ll definitely return.

A little disappointing this time, unfortunately. Only one waiter for many tables and she was run off her feet. She did her best. Serious crack in rim of teapot and cups stained. Impression was that food was not freshly prepared although it was tasty. Just a little shabby overall. Can do better, Eastwell! Especially for the price.
