THE LOT - Liberty Station Ratings and Reviews
undoubtedly dissapointed, arrived to the lot and i saw the "private event" signs and thought, why didnt anyone call me? why was the reservation made, i was celebrating a family birthday and we had to reroute everyone, such a dissapointment of a turn away from the manager as well. she said their booking system changed? okay...didnt even care to apologize first hand, she was just focused on her private event.
A very disappointing evening .. extremely slow and rather careless service .. delays, wrong # wine glasses even though requested 4, cold soup which had to be sent back, and an inedible flatbread which we should have sent back. Also prices quite high for mediocre food
Convenient for dinner and a movie. The food was overpriced and menu wasn't very creative. Reminded me of eating dinner at a hotel restaurant. Overpriced and mediocre food. The short ribs came out cold. When I sent it back, the new plate came with ridiculously hot short rib and cold potatoes. It was clear a microwave was used in the prep, which was a little disappointing given the price. The service however, was very good. The waitstaff was attentive and courteous.
Overpriced and loud. Wouldn't go back. The Octopus was like shoe leather and burned. Couldn't believe they'd serve it. We sent it back. Inedible and the waiter, a seemingly nice fellow, seemed disinterested in us. Perhaps he had a lot of tables. Who knows? But the place is overbuilt and therefore, overpriced and uninspired.
Only for restaurant/bar: Food was over priced and mediocre tasting. Paid $13 for a bowl of soup and it was barely warm. Ambiance is cool and it looked like a cool date/happy hour place but wouldn't go there again for food especially with so many other cool places around.
I have been to the Lot at Liberty Station before, but never made a reservation. This was a bit of a disappointing experience. I received an email about New Year's Eve, and the main aspect of the email that made me make the reservation was "no cover" because me and my friends were looking for dinner and a low key New Year's Eve celebration. I got to the venue, and the stipulations changed, and we had to pay $65 per person. The manager ended up giving us complimentary movie tickets to apologize. But ultimately, our plans were significantly altered, and we were not as satisfied as we could have been. In the future, it would be important that the email advertisements that are sent to your loyal customers are completely accurate.
The food was good, but small portions. Well prepared and very pleasing to the eye. The mushroom pizza was great and the desserts were exceptional. The Salmon was not as good, but overall a pleasant experience. We did have to wait 20-30 min. even though we had reservations.
We had a large party so I made a reservation. We arrived on time and our table was not ready for another ten minutes or so. The restaurant wasn't crowded so I suspect they didn't realize we were coming. Not the end of the world but the entire evening was scattered from the food orders being incorrect to barely warm soup. This place has great potential but the execution was not great. It appears that the kitchen is down a walkway and must be carried out of doors before arriving at the table. That may account for the cold soup! Our waiter tried hard to please and that was appreciated but there were too many things out of his control that went wrong. Food was mediocre at best. We won't return.
this was the worst theater service experience!!! we sat in our seats and waited 10 minutes for a server to come over and check if we wanted anything. no one came so we turned our service request lights on and waited another 10 minutes. a server finally came and we ordered POPCORN. we turned our service lights on again 30 minutes into waiting; our server never came back to check on us or address the fact that it had been over an hour and we hadn't received our order. when we finally got the attention of another server, it took another 15 minutes for a different server to bring us COLD popcorn. as if all of that wasn't bad enough, the ladies room was FILTHY. needless to say, i will never recommend this theater to anyone.
Wasn't impressed for Christmas Day dinner. A turkey dinner certainly would have been preferred. I ended up ordering the mac and cheese off the menu and the waitress brought me the kids mac and cheese? I am 49! Why would she not bring me the normal adult plate? Weird.
This restaurant was very over priced for being basically attached to a movie theater. If you're going to spend +$30 on a plate of pasta, you expect a really nice ambiance and special service. Instead, staff were chatting loudly with each other nearby and the only bathroom is part of the movie theater, which means waiting in line with everyone who just got out of their movies.
I really like the ambiance of this restaurant and I thought it would be a great place to go after seeing the new Star Wars movie in theatre. Overall I think our server tried his best and did a good job, but people kept letting him down. I ordered the mussels and a few of them were completely dried, I assume from sitting under a heat lamp too long. Also, they only give you three tiny pieces of bread for what was a really good broth - I'd recommend they start giving you more bread, because that broth shouldn't go to waste.
After dinner I ordered an espresso and after waiting a long time for it, it came completely cold. I had another issue with the coffee bar in the theatre, when I ordered a tea, it took 30 minutes to show up and the water was tepid.
The dessert was delicious and the wine also was good.
Food tasted great. However, I felt it was a bit on the pricey side considering the small portions. I had the steak which was supposed to come with mashed potatoes...but the potatoes were a decorative smear on the plate. 😬 With many dining options nearby, I'll probably reconsider coming back to dine before a movie.
I really want to like this place but I've now been here for lunch on a variety of different days and even when it's pretty empty, the time it takes to get food on the table is ridiculous. We were a group of 7 today and there was literally 2 other couples in the restaurant when we walked in at 1145. At 1240 I asked a waiter where our waitress was and where our food was. The food came out about 5-7 minutes later and it was Luke warm at best. This place is expensive but can't follow through on the food. It's unfortunate.
Really nice set up, but food was overpriced for the quality and portion size. Service was not the best. Didn't give us that "welcoming feeling." It was also very cold inside because they had all the doors open. Most of the people inside were wearing coats and scarves while dining, including me.
Had dinner at restaurant before our movie. Food and service was very good. Great atmosphere, great setting. After dinner, our movie inside: Theatre seating was uber-comfortable. Reclining Lazy-Boy type seats, in pairs for couples. You can order food and drinks, including alcohol, at beginning at movie. Popcorn was a huge disappointment. It was way oversalted, and barely warm. They didn't have butter stations, like most theatres do. When we ordered the popcorn, we asked for butter. And she pointed to a ketchup-type squeeze bottle of liquid butter-flavored oil (cold) to squeeze over the top. Awful. With an amazing theatre setting like this, PLEASE improve your popcorn.
The Lot is a great location and convenient for a pre/post theater option. Pricey but the food is good. Drinks are pricey as well. Service is okay. They seem to never have enough staff on hand. I been there twice and both times service was really lagging. They were nice though.
