The food was good. Our server was fabulous!
I've Did A Review A Few Days Ago, I'll Do It Again, I Think The Service Was Great, I Saw Aquaman At About 11am 1/9/2019 Then I Went In To The Restaurant & Was Seated Right Away By The Bartender. I Got To Sit on the Patio Near The Road Where I can See The Large Screen T.V. & See The People Go By. I't Was Quiet, I had The Bartender Take A Picture Of Me With My Food, To Send To My Sister. I Had Great Service From Amanda Also, She Brought My Food, My Sculpin Glass Of Beer,& Then My Birthday Ice Cream With A Browne That Had Carmel & Chocolate Syrup with Popcorn. The People Looked Very Professional, Also The Lady That Help Me With My Movie Ticket & The People Working In The Theatre That I Watched Aquaman Were Very Helpful At The Seats & At the Door When I Left.
We went for early dinner for New Year’s Eve. Although my husband and I frequent the Lot for date night, this time we brought our two little ones. The service was slow due to the holiday (although it didn’t seem busy in the dining room), and we waited more than an hour for our dinner. Nevertheless, it was a great way for us as a family to spend NYE.
Awesome ambience and great date spot before a movie.
Great location. Service was OK but slow given that there were few diners. Portions are generous. Nice ambience. Would go back for cocktails & dinner.
Great setting with outdoor seating. Good food and nice ambiance. Our waiter was very courteous and provided great service. Kitchen service was slow and took a long time to get food.
We went to The Lot for New Year's Eve dinner with a group of 7. Loved the 3 course menu offered and the decorations and hats, etc. that the restaurant included for the occasion. I've never been disappointed by dining at the Lot--- highly recommend!
I reserved a table for Christmas Eve dinner for 6 people. I arrived 2 days prior to that day to get more information. I was told it will be a 3 curse meal with vegetarian option and a free movie ticket, but when we got there I was told different. When I asked to substitute the meat for vegetable dish it wasn't as much as I thought it should be. The server was great and friendly and took good care for our table.
Amazing Holiday Meal and the service was outstanding!
Thank you, Austin!
This was my second time dining at the Lot restaurant. Both experiences were wonderful. Yummy appetizers and deeeelicious main entrees. I'll be back!
The restaurant is open and airy. The planes are a bit loud when they pass by. The food is fun. The service is fantastic.
Dinner after a movie. Great location right next to the theatre with floor to ceiling windows. Beautiful view of the Christmas lights and ice skating rink made the ambience festive. The service was very good and the staff was friendly. We had the Cajon penne pasta which was spicy and delicious and a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato bisque combo that was yummy! We'll definitely be back.
Amazing food! Perfect for before or after a movie. Much better than Cinepolis :)
Showed up on time for our reservation for two. Were seated promptly then waited 30 minutes and finally had to go to the hostess to ask for water. Water served 5 minutes later by hostess who commented that our server did not appear to be attending to our table. Waited 10 more minutes and then hostess took our drink and food orders. Hostess came back 10 minutes later to tell us one beer was being switched to another keg and the other was not available. Ordered a different beer. 5 minutes later we received the drinks. Food arrived 10 minutes later. The burger was reported as good but the Mahi Mahi tacos I had lettuce on them that smelled and tasted very strongly of the inside of the refrigerator. After the meal, waited another 20 minutes and then were running out of time to make it to the movie that was starting 2 hours after our lunch reservation, so I had to stand at the hostess station to pay the check. I was using a gift card to pay and was given a receipt with no option to tip. I was going to give a relatively small tip (I usually tip over 20%) but was abandoned so fast that I couldn't get change so no tip. The restaurant was not particularly busy so no idea why this experience was so poor.
The food was excellent tho a bit pricey for what it is. Especially the drinks. But all in all enjoyable. The only real ding I would give is on the service — they are nice but slow and not super attentive... had to ask for water 3 times, they brought my son steak after taking his silverware for appetizers and didn’t give him new utensils. I ended up getting them for him myself. Then there was no steak knife and it took nearly ten min to get someone’s attention to bring one over. So yeah like I said ding on service but food quality is very good.
Food was good, but there was a glitch in their system, and I was double booked for movie tickets. When I brought this to their attention, they would not refund the service charge. For as much as we spent at this location, I would've expected better service, especially given that the error was due to their ticketing platform.
Started out great with the server asking if we had a timeframe! We did as we were seeing a 8pm movie, plenty of time with a 6:45 reservation. Two diners ordered the lemon chicken soup and it came as lemon chicken in a tomato based soup to their surprise. I don’t recall what the menu read, but titled lemon chicken you’d think it would be a fresh light chicken soup with a lemon flavor. It was not. The soup was served lukewarm at best in a restaurant why wide open doors. We sent one back to reheat, it took over 15 minutes. At that point our server stopped attending to us and we had to ask for the bill from another server at 5 till 8, our movie time. We also ordered bread that came out far later than the soup and with no butter, which we then waited for. I ordered flatbread which was okay but not in matching with the ambiance and pricing of this restaurant. The thin crust was over cooked and hard. The bathrooms are also numbered two few for a movie theater and restaurant to both use them. It was a disappointing experience overall.
This review really isn’t in The Lot’s control unless they install shades. We were seated in the shaded portion of the west side of the restaurant at 11:45 am. Shortly thereafter, most of the shade was gone leaving me and my party “hot.” We all went for burgers — that didn’t disappoint.
The food quality was not high enough for the price. I was disappointed. It was convenient to the theater but I would expect a lot more for the money. There were no complimentary appetizers at all. Much lower price-point places have breadsticks, chips, etc. to snack on while waiting for the main course. I will not return. Not worth it with so many better quality options so close.
We are here before our movie for our anniversary. Originally I was thinking it looked pricey for a movie theater restaurant (I’d never been before), but the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Honestly, we didn’t need a reservation on a Monday. Overall great experience.
We went for a movie and then for lunch. I love this place because the food is good, drinks are great and the place is just beautiful You definitely need to try it!
James was fantastic and the food was great! A little too sunny is the only negative.
Loved it! We all went to celebrate a co-worker and the ambiance was amazing and food was really good. Everyone had an amazing time!
Cameron our server, and Isaac the new manager made sure that our meal was perfect!
I love this place. Good food. Good atmosphere. Very good service. Nice place in general. I went to dinner with live music really good. And the breakfast is delicious. Thanks to Issac the manager.
We had a great time listening to the band and eating dinner. The carrot cake was terrific. The band was outstanding. Good service. Will be back!
Good food, good Wine list.
Too noisy to have a conversation
Good food, but was not happy that entree was brought to us while still eating appetizers. It was taken back and maybe that was why the filet mignon which was asked for as very rare was served medium.
Fun girls' evening - dinner and a movie. Good cocktails (if a bit pricey) and good food. We shared an appetizer and a pasta, and the waiter was kind enough to split it for us. Once inside, seats were comfortable, service was prompt, and the Zebra popcorn was delicious as usual.
It was PLNU Family weekend and we were looking for something fun to do in the evening. We caught a movie and reserved a table for dinner following the movie. We enjoyed a tasty dinner and enjoyed the band that was playing salsa music that evening with lots of great salsa dancers. We had a great time and would recommend dinner and a movie at the Lot for a really fun evening! We’ll definitely return the next time we are in town.
Great way to start the morning. So peaceful and elegant.
I enjoyed the restaurant, staff was friendly and welcoming but I just wasn’t overwhelmed. I think I’d have rather sat closer to the center where I’d have encountered less wind and plane noise. But I’ll be back...probably for Sunday brunch.
Food was mediocre - basically just ok sports bar food - need hearty but healthier choices.
Server/staff was nice and accommodating but food was either late or missed entirely, bill was incorrect and needed adjustment.
Drinks and atmosphere good. Happy hour is great but not available Sunday. Would only go and spend happy hour prices on food - not worth the expense for the quality on regular menu.
The San Diego omelet is a new and good addition to the menu. My dining companion had the jalapeno stuffed French toast – different, but she liked it. Coffee has improved – I think the restaurant upgraded its coffee when the menu was changed a few months ago. Great place to watch Sunday sports – just watch out for the sun as it beams through the glass.
Courtney did a nice job serving us and was attentive and courteous.
The food was great and we had a nice evening. I appreciated that we could linger for awhile as my friend and I had a lot to catch up on.
a bag to carry home the doggy boxes would have been helpful. It seems none were available.
Service was excellent and the food was very good. The filet and bone marrow was excellent
Our sever didn’t check our open table reservation!
He was kind, we told him we had a movie in an hour, ordered and didn’t see him again! We had to ask another waiter to inquire about our food 45 min!
It came out with an apology and “I threw an extra piece of cheese in the board since it took so long. The guacamole, $14 was the cheap out of a bag kind from Costco, disappointed.
The food was good, portions were too big, service was slow
Martinis had the cheapest bitter green olives, so we switched to wine. Our choices of calamari appetizers, then the salmon entree and chicken were so bland and overpriced for this bistro.
We went to the Lot for one of their themed evenings. It was a "Brazilian Evening". The band was really great and clearly set the mood and provided the requisite ambiance. The menu was a bit of a disappointment. I would have expected some more Brazilian dishes rather than tuna on bell pepper or three varieties of salad. What was supposed to be Feijoada turned out to be warm black beans, no Chouriço in sight. Typically served with Farofa, but here just white rice. Salmon??? To the best of my knowledge not typically Brazilian. i swear, if I had seen a Caesar Salad, I would have walked out right then and there! As for Brazilian themed drinks, the choice was limited to Caiprinha. Nonetheless, we had a pleasant evening, enjoyed watching the glamorous Samba dancers and the music. That is until the band stopped playing. The ambient music switched abruptly to some obnoxious techno beat (which i wouldn't have minded any other time) and totally killed the mood. Sort of switching on the bright lights in a dimly lit room. It was time to go.....
