It's Mardi Gras every day at The Lost Pelican. Although the Belltown neighborhood may be a long way from New Orleans, the restaurant's owner, Mike Forte, lived and worked on the Gulf Coast for 30 years, developing a keen sense of flavors and taste that has allowed him to prepare unique menu items in Seattle. Once he and his family relocated, he knew that the residents would appreciate the Southern home-style food he came to love while living in Louisiana.Serving up contemporary Southern cuisine like BBQ shrimp, oysters Rockefeller, chicken gumbo, catfish tacos and pepper steak over grits, The Lost Pelican has married the taste of the South with the trendy taste of the Northwest and offers specialty drinks that bring the two tastes together. Happy hour at The Lost Pelican is daily from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. to close.
