While it was a great experience, it was a bit challenging to attempt to celebrate a special occasion @ the bar. Being such a busy place we could not get a table even a week ahead. The bartender was amazing but it is a lot to ask someone to be both a personable waitstaff while making drinks for multtudes of people.

Food was delicious, service was good! We felt a extremely rushed. Plates were cleared in a jiffy. We still had appetizers that were not finished and our main course came out. We all drove over 1.5 hours to meet friends for a special dinner that was rushed. That in itself ruined our entire experience. We were all truly excited to try this restaurant and it ended on a bad note. Guest should be informed that tables have time limits. Otherwise, hosts can work around guests that stay a bit longer and figure it out on their end.

Bar seating was the only option two days in advance. They cram seats together so it’s awkward getting into and out of the swiveling chairs without brushing against people next to you. I’ve never seen seating at a bar like this before. That was the downside. The bartender was great though, very attentive and accommodating. We will be going back and making reservations well in advance because the steaks were outstanding. If you’re all about steak, as I am, this is a can’t miss meal. This restaurant is a meat lover’s dream destination. I had the porterhouse and my wife had the bone in ribeye. Both were done to medium rare perfection. The wood fired grill imparts a beautiful smoke flavor that is even present in the broccolini side dish. The Super Tuscan red wine by the glass was the right complement. I ordered a second glass because it was delicious. I saw the reviews that talked about the poor ambiance and I did see the area they spoke of. I wouldn’t want to sit there. I think the harsh lighting is the problem in that area. That could be fixed and it absolutely should be. Some restaurants don’t really appreciate how much lighting can affect your mood when dining out. No matter how good the food is, dining out isn’t only about the food, it’s an EXPERIENCE that people are paying for. The soft lighting in and around the bar was perfect for the setting. The hostess was very friendly and helpful with advice about our planned return in a few months. It’s a very busy restaurant so plan in advance.

Both my Fiance and I had a wonderful time dining at this establishment! We had the empanadas, beet salad and mixed grill, which were all phenomenal! Our server, I believe her name was Brynne, was super personable and knowledgeable about the menu and she made for a wonderful dining experience!! Cannot reccomend this place enough!

The food is delicious. We had a warm welcome from Tatiana and fabulous service from Dave. Found the dining room to be a bit too warm and noisy

Outstanding Food and Service. Lost Fire is definitely one of my favorite restaurants and as a steakhouse, in my top three. I'd compare them to the likes of Peter Lugers, Gallagher and STK. I visit them every time I'm in Maine. You will Not be disappointed.
