Perfect lunch location to show off The Rocks and surrounds to interstate friends. The menu is small but perfectly formed and the extensive wine selection was a pleasure to wander through, we chose a rare Chardonnay from the Hunter Valley that was served graciously at the right temperature. The service was prompt, low key and perfect for our party of four. It’s been awhile since visiting yet it was a joy to be back. Won’t leave it so long, highly recommend .

Lord Nelson is an old favourite. Good comfort food - particularly in the colder months. Love the old sandstone. Staff very friendly. Would recommend.

Nearly perfect. For the price i think the portions were a bit small. Have job issues paying too dollar for quality but I little more on the plate would’ve topped the experience. Nevertheless, I will return and recommend.

The atmosphere was good, the beer and wine we had were good. The food not so much! Hubby had fish and chips. We had to send back. Fish was cold and rubbery. Batter cold and soggy and chips cold. Sent back and the next plate was great. The staff were great at sorting this My meat pie was awful. Like a cheap shop bought one and not very tasty but ate it as I was starving. Lacked the nice rich filling. Wouldn’t buy food in there again but definitely go for a drink.

The squid ink pasta with prawns and scallops was sensational. Keep it on the specials board.

The ambience at this pub is unbeatable, especially on a rainy Sydney day. The service is friendly although, despite ordering on the same number, our meals arrived at quite different times. The food is good although it lacks the variety that some Sydney pubs now offer.
