Welcome Back to the Lord Kitchener at Curbridge, Witney.
Under New Management and with a new Experienced and Innovative team of Chefs we are here to tempt you with a broad selection of Flavours & Experiences from around the world as well as some English Pub Favourites.
All of our dishes are prepared in house from fresh ingredients wherever possible so that we can offer you tasty and healthy food at the Community Bar or in the Restaurant.

Our Small Community Bar is good for drinks & finger food. Our Sitting Room with cosy Log Fire is for families (children under 16) and the Garden Room with Garden Views as our main Restaurant Room.

Wednesday Evenings are Burger Night for our Gourmet 8oz Beef Burgers with 12 different toppings (or Chicken Breast instead). Our large Sunday Roasts come with unlimited home made Beef Bone Gravy.

Wine Bistro open Thursday to Saturday serving over 30 wines & Cold Platters -Cheeses & Cold Cuts.

Food is our passion. All our dishes is prepared from Fresh ingredients wherever possible including our own Home made Gravy, Focaccia Bread, and our many Special Sauces both European and Asian. Our saucier has extensive knowledge and experience of Asian and European Herbs and Spices and how to fuse them to create something unique and special. We put the same effort into our Pub Fare such as Fish & Chips and Gammon Steak. With 20 years in the wine business, we choose our wines carefully. We would not serve any wine that we would not be prepared to drink ourselves.

We booked and arrived but the restaurant was closed until further notice. Nothing on open table and nothing online to notify people.

Incredible food - very talented chef! The burgers were to die for, and highly recommended. Really lovely atmosphere.

The menu is a bit limited on a Sunday if you don't want roast. In general food and drink was good with background music.

Thank you for the good review. Like many restaurants we are suffering staff issues which means at the moment only Sunday Roasts on Sundays. Our extensive main menu operates on Tuesdays to Saturdays for both lunch & dinner so please come back and try it.

Although not an extensive menu all three of us managed to find something to eat. Would recommend this pub highly. Clean and relaxing with nice views to the rear.

Went for a quiet lunch and chat, it was unfortunate that the doors to the large restaurant area were being fixed as we had to sit in bar area. We had wanted a private chat. The food we had was fine but very very limited in choice, about 7 of the items on the menu were not available so ended up having fish and chips not my what i was hoping to have.

Thank you Peter and apologies again. The doors are FIRE doors and so they had to be fixed, (their second attempt), and we had no choice but to sit everyone in the Sitting Room, our family area. It did mean you suffered from the rather noisy group that was in that day. We did get caught out with suppliers this week and I apologise for our normal 33 main course options being reduced to 27. We hope you return soon so that we can show you what we are capable of.

A wonderful welcome, great knowledge about food and wines. Very flexible in menu options. The sauces were sublime. Great wine pairings for us wine buff’s… we’ll definitely be back!

We visited the Lord Kitchener on a Wednesday night for their Burger Night. Wow. The quality of the food was amazing, must be the best burger from a restaurant we have ever had. The quality and range of drinks were good with my other half commenting on the 'good pint' he received. The wine selection was impressive and is something I look forward to sampling in the future. The cocktails on tap were great, who knew an espresso martini would taste so nice! Will be returning and no hesitation in recommending to others.

We could not resist another visit. This time we tried the lamb meatballs, from the local ducklington farm, a mexican burger (enormous) and a cold cuts platter, all really well presented and tasty. The landlord and waitress were fr.iendly and the service good...they recommended a lovely wine which was superb...an italian merlot. We sat in the new wine bistro room which was really relaxing and enjoyed the music. A lovely experience. Thank you.
