Lovely lunch with amazing ambience! Food was delicious and yummy cocktails. Gray Monk has done an super job on Safety precaution!
Great atmosphere and amazing view of the lake, definitely recommend
I’ve tried to eat here for a long time but so busy in summer that we couldn’t get in. The food was fantastic. Worth the wait to book a reservation. Wine was outstanding too!
Hello, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a 5 star review! I'm glad you enjoyed the food & wine. Cheers, Michaela Senkiw Restaurant Manager
In a nut shell. Never going back!
We throughly enjoyed our lunch at Gray Monk, the food is always exceptional and Julie was pleasant and helpful as usual!
Hi Suzanne, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us 5 stars! I will pass your compliment on to Julie! Cheers, Michaela Senkiw Restaurant Manager
We had lunch and it was delicious. We had the Brie sandwich and cream of mushroom soup that were both really good. Service was great. Happy to support these places at times like these. Everything was fabulous!
Hi Sue, I'm so glad you had such a delicious lunch. Thanks for the 5 stars! Cheers! Michaela Senkiw Restaurant Manager
The food was expertly prepared and plated and the ambiance was very pleasant. The food and wine were expensive and the amounts of food were limited, though filling. The view, had it been light, would have been incredible.
Hi Stacy Thanks for taking the time to review your experience! Cheers, Michaela Senkiw Restaurant Manager
The server was excellent and very professional, something you don't always see in the Okanagan. Food was good, my daughter loved the vegan burger, I loved the bavette. The music was a little too loud but they turned it down when we asked.
Thanks for the 5 stars! Sincerely, Michaela Senkiw Restaurant Manager
Celebrated a friends birthday and the staff ensured it was special.
Well distanced tables, delicious food, wonderful service.
Hi Crystal Thanks for the 5 star review! I'm glad it was a special day.
Delicious and lovely service. They were very accommodating in finding menu solutions for varied and complex allergies.
Hi Patricia Thanks for taking the time to leave us 5 stars! I am happy we were able to accommodate your allergies. Sincerely, Michaela Senkiw Restaurant Manager
Service and food top notch! Thank you Julie and Michaela for making our anniversary extra special. We both enjoyed the crispy chicken burger and home chips for lunch. The food was well made and delicious!! They surprised us with a special treat to mark the occasion. So lovely. Keep it up Gray Monk, we will be back!
We highly recommend The Lookout Restaurant for the food, service and view!!!
Not the usual hustle and bustle due to COVID, which created a magical atmosphere. Only three other tables other than ours. Amazing views, food and staff. Thank you for keeping your restaurant open longer into the winter season.
For what you pay the food is excellent however the ambiance was lacking or none at all.
I’m sure ambience is special during daylight hrs and in the warmer seasons....but this room needs some warming up, new/additional decor ... colour ... something? Without any view this was just a dated space. Wine was really overpriced vs quality... vs other local wineries...this was absolute. Was quite surprised to see the wine we had for dinner was 1/2 the bottle price in the lobby. Wasn’t busy ... One server seemed rushed, other relaxed. We live in the area so will never give up... but this experience didn’t cut it vs other local offerings.
We had a lovely meal at Gray Monk. The view of the lake is outstanding and prices were reasonable. Our server Julie was delightful.
It was a very nice evening out. The food was fantastic and service was awesome.
the resturant was cold. We found it to have no personalily and absolutely no way would you know that you where a vineyard.
But we absolutely love the view.
We took my wife's aunt and uncle there for their anniversary as a treat which was truly enjoyed. Service was fantastic ( thanks Tara for the special touches ), food excellent as usual. Ambiance was good - summer is our usual preferred time but was still a treat. If you want a special treat try the cod - it was sensational. All in all a very nice everning.
The Look out Restaurant has become are favourite go to and have had Wonderfull meals
here and we will be back
But are last visit was not as good as we have had previously
My wife's Mushroom Burger was greasy and she was disappointed
I understand that the chef needs to change things up a little but your calamari with the lime sauce was to die for .My chicken dish was great
until next time thanks
Food was mostly good (Angus Babette was excellent, scallops not so much). Service was excellent as usual. Kerner is great for anyone who enjoys a sweeter white wine.
Girls weekend staying in Canada
Thanks for the 5 stars! Cheers, Michaela Senkiw Restaurant Manager
My husband and I came to The Lookout on a day of wine tasting in Lake County for my birthday. The food and service were excellent! We shared the WTF "Burger" and BLT and left very satisfied. We really appreciated our servers care and attention when we let her know thete was an onion intolerance. And we were treated to a glass of sparkling wine to celebrate my birthday! We can't wait to come back to try the dinner menu!
I usually really enjoy the food at Gray Monk but the last couple of visits have been a disappointment. The chef forgot that I have Celiac disease and put a garnish on my lunch that was not gluten free. I sent it back. He/she replated it but then it was cold. And the in house made barbeque sauce that I had on it previously has been replaced with a commercial product that I could not have. That disappeared off my plate too. I was left with a pretty dull looking presentation. And it was not hot off the grill.
Service was excellent.
Tables were well spaced and we felt very comfortable in covid times.
Wine flights were excellent and reasonably priced for quality wine.
Lunch menu was limited and priced on the high end but of course the view is incredible even from inside. Heaters outside would be a nice touch. Steak menu item was more rare than we expected. Overall food is over priced for value but typical of a winery restaurant. Recommend it but expect to pay more than normal.
Inspite of this we had a very enjoyable lunch.
Hi Arby, Thanks for taking the time to leave such a detailed review. I'm happy you had an enjoyable lunch. Cheers, Michaela Senkiw Restaurant Manager
Great food and a beautiful spot for a meal with an amazing view.
Hi Jackie Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Cheers, Michaela Senkiw Restaurant Manager
Understandably there was a limited menu so we look forward to going back again for the usual menu.
Service was very good and our server was knowledgeable about the food and the wine. Gray Monk never disappoints.
Hi Teresa, Thanks for understanding our predicament last week and taking the time to share your experience. We look foreword to your return, with a full menu! Cheers, Michaela Senkiw Restaurant Manager

Awesome brunch! What a treat to have a beautiful sunny day overlooking the lake and vineyard. Everything was Devine. I’d do again in a heartbeat!
Thanks for the 5 stars JM! Cheers, Michaela Senkiw Restaurant Manager
We went in with a time limit and we were very clear about that when we sat down. We had over an hour and a half scheduled for lunch. We were only offered drinks twice in that whole time. We had one bottle of wine between four of us, when we could have had two, maybe three, and my other friend was only offered one glass of wine. And we had to pour it ourselves. We were disappointed with that. The server was nice, but not attentive enough at all. I had recommended it to my friends, and left feeling disappointed. And we were late for our next appointment...after saying when we needed to leave. I would be cautious to recommend going there, to be honest...
Hi Andrea, Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. I apologize that we were unable to get you out in a timely manner and that the service didn't meet your expectations. I will follow up with the staff who worked on the day you dined. We do our best to get our guests in and out a timely manner but sometimes it's difficult for us to rush our style of wine and food service. Sincerely, Michaela Senkiw Restaurant Manager
Amazing food, wonderful wine, great cocktails and incredible service. View is outstanding - sit outside if weather permits. Will definitely go back.
Hello Dareth, Thanks for taking the time to leave us a 5 star review! Cheers, Michaela Senkiw Restaurant Manager
This always feels like a treat!
However, it did feel that the salad was a little over priced. Even if it included a slice of bread it would have seemed like more
Our waitress was lovely and the wine...divine!!
Hi Dawn, Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. Cheers, Michaela Senkiw Restaurant Manager
This is the 3rd time we habe bought friends to your lovely restraunt never to be dissapointed. The food is excellent, although my fellow diners were a bit dissapointed with their desserts this time. The service has always been exceptional and the view, what can we say! Inside decor is a bit austere, maybe add some local art. Overall, we will be back again.
Hi Josephine, Thanks for taking the time to leave a detailed 5 star review! Cheers, Michaela Senkiw Restaurant Manager
The food, wine, and service were excellent. On a cool fall day, bring warm clothing as no patio heaters or blankets.
Hi Mike, Thanks for the 5 stars! Cheers, Michaela Senkiw Restaurant Manager
Our first visit. Could not have been more perfect. Wonderful view of course. Friendly, efficient service, outstanding food.
Hi Brigitte, Thanks for taking the time to leave us 5 stars! Cheers, Michaela Senkiw Restaurant Manager
It was lovely. Wines may not be the best.
View was amazing. Food and wine were so reasonably priced and delicious.
Thanks for the 5 stars! Cheers, Michaela Senkiw Restaurant Manager
Great view! Amazing service! We ate a little too much because it was so good.
Amazing place and food!
The food, the service and the view were all stellar! I will make this a regular place to visit.
