The place was so loud we couldn’t hear ourselves think and our little grandson was covering his ears it was so loud. They were supposed to be having karaoke starting at 7:30 but were already checking the sound system and the noise was making the place like a rock concert. Won’t go back. Didn’t really even have time to get our food. We cancelled our order and left after appetizers.

Excellent food and drinks. Waiter, Brenton, had excellent service and takes care of his customers. Treated like family. Rib eye steak, best steak I’ve ever had at a restaurant, and better than most steak houses.

Nick was an awesome server! He always came back and checked on us and made sure everything was to our liking. The live music was wonderful and they even sang happy birthday to one of the tables. Everyone was super sweet and I definitely recommend trying it out!

Mixed experience. The food was excellent, but the place was incredibly noisy - can’t talk across the table noisy! They had live music, and not only were they playing loud, they were not very good. Literally spoiled the experience. Service was rushed, we got our appetizers befor our drinks, and the our entrees came out before we finished our appetizers. Our wine never arrived-about half way through our dinner our waiter informed us that they didn’t have what we ordered (and the selection was pretty limited). Probably won’t be going back…

Upon arrival we waiting a bit but when we was helped we got seated right away. Food was good and different. Service was nice and quick. Music was fairly on the louder side. Down fall the wave pool was closed. Definitely one of the reason I wanted to eat there. Other than that everything was good. I would come back and try it again.

Soo junk! We made reservations specifically to watch "Overlook" the surfing. Well there was none! Nothing at all. We were told they are putting in lights and shut it down, even though no one was working on it. Yhey didn't nither to put it on the website or let ys know it would be shut down. Then the prices on the menu were too expensive for the kind of service we got and the ambiance being out of service. Sooo disappointed. Worst part was no one cared that we were staring at...nothing and no one bothered to let us know or the website, even with reservations. Such a disappointment. Won't be coming back anytime soon.

They don’t seem to know how to handle busy crowds. We made a reservation for 12 and checked in a few minutes (literally 3 minutes) after our reservation time. But then when we asked about our table again (12 minutes after our reservation time) it was considered a late check in and we were informed our table had been given away. Then we waited for an additional 30 minutes to be seated. Super fun with 2 infants and a kindergartner :-/. During this time there was a car show going on, but I don’t feel like a reservation should be dismissed because you have a long line. Get rid of reservations if you can’t honor them.

The food that we ordered was great, especially the appetizer ribeye and the chicken sandwich. The hostesses at the front could definitely use training, I made a reservation and they were still very confused about what to do, even though there were tables available everywhere. Our server was wonderful. The food and drinks were SLOW, very slow. When we finally did get our entrees, one of the meals didn’t come for at least 15 mins after the others arrived, and we had to remind them.

The waitress is not attentive in taking orders. Service is really slow. Our food came out in duplicate. Inform the customers what's not on the menu. Have one of the workers check the water refill on each table.

Our 1st time there to Wai Kai. Wow can't believe all that is back there. We were so glad we chose The Lookout to have my son's birthday dinner. Food, drinks, dessert, service & ambiance was great! We will surely return. Mahalo

Although we had to wait about 15 - 20 minutes for our 12pm reservations, there was enough seating for us to sit comfortably and wait indoors. The food was great and the wait for the food did not take long at all. Our server, Adel, was great. We could tell she was busy, but she always made time to ask if we were ok or if we needed anything. She was very personable and professional.

Our server Tasia was so sweet & energetic! We loved her vibe. Her customer service was on point! The food was great. My husband & I shared appetizers and the portions was enough for the both of us. Their Li Hing Mui Daquiri was so yummy! We had a great view and the surfers kept us entertained while we waited for our food.

We didn’t find out until after we climbed three flights of stairs that there was an elevator on the opposite side of the main entry. Would’ve been nice to have a sign that said that, especially for people who need assistance, We were warmly greeted by the hostess upon entry. We were promptly shown to our table. Our waitress came immediately to take drink and food orders. She made some suggestions for both. We ended up ordering a custom drink, which the bartender did a tremendous job on producing. We went for all appetizers which were fairly expensive. The $24 serving of macOS and $24 mochico chicken servings however were generous and well prepared. I’d get either of those again. Especially the nachos. We also got a garden salad with a creamy Asian dressing which was good. My grand daughter left room for their butter cake with a scoop of Dave’s vanilla ice cream. They were both to die for and a fitting end to our meal. Our waitress, Tasha Lynn, made the evening for us with her fun interaction, menu suggestions and help with our bar order. Service is so important and makes the difference between a good experience and a great one. We had a great time and are looking forward to returning.

The menu seems to be expanding, but most of the food just seems mediocre. They used to have a really great Brussel sprout side that they know longer have that was great. The noise level inside makes it where you have to yell at the people at your own table. The music should be turned down a bit and then acoustics are horrible inside there.

We had a 6:30 reservation, but had to sit at the bar for 15-20 minutes while they figured out their wait staff rotation. I stayed calm, but this is a pet peeve of mine, I make a reservation to avoid waiting. Once seated, our waitress was great and attentive. The food here is good, but they tend to be a little slow during dinner.

I think this place is good for drinking and for people who doesn’t mind noise.The place was really busy, Nachos w/ Kailua pig, crispy chicken was very good, Kanpachi was very salty,purple sweet potatoes was good. We live in Ewa Beach and Finally had the chance to check out Wai Kai with visiting family, The ambience at sunset was amazing, & getting to watch the surfers & body boarding in the wave pools was really fun! Our server Nick was friendly and welcoming ~ the fish tacos and seared ahi were delicious! Cocktails were yummy too!! So happy to have more nice restaurants on the west side! We will definitely be back!

First time out during the evening. Seems to be a good vibe, even at night. Pipe is running and people still out boarding. No complaints. Expect Hawaii prices for this resort style venue. Nothing else around it, so expect to spend part of day here

Love the area and place. The view makes the drive worth it. The issue was with the food. Ordered two ribeyes medium rare and seared ahi rare. All 3 entres came out completely overcooked. They were well done. They refired all 3 dishes and the ahi came out fine the second time. We waited about 30 minutes for the second round of steaks to come and sure enough. Overcooked again. We send them back again and told them to prepare them blue. This time the turn around time was fast and the steaks were medium rare. The manager and server were awesome and super apologetic. They comped all 3 entrees. I may go back just for the ambiance.
