We were attending the local car show in St Marys, Steeple Ashton and thought it a good idea to have Sunday lunch here. We had checked beforehand if dogs were welcomed and the answer was ok. A most enjoyable time had by all. Made possible by the cool environment (it was a warm day) and attentive, friendly staff. The dog treats and a bowl of water was a welcome compliment too!

This was our first visit to The Longs. The pub is beautifully renovated set in a lovely location so we had high expectations and booked to celebrate my birthday with family. When the waitress came to take our drinks order we asked for a bottle of Prosecco but were told they didn’t have any. The menu offered a good selection of food and the staff were helpful to offer vegan alternatives for me. My son had fish & chips which he really enjoyed. Unfortunately nobody came back to check on us once our food had arrived so we couldn’t order more drinks or ask for replacement condiments as the ones supplied were almost empty. Overall a lovely pub / restaurant and good food but the service let the experience down

The food was well presented, tasty and generous. I'm not a fan of the "Sunday Lunch" experience generally as I prefer a wider choice (including fish) but sometimes it is unavoidable when hosting friends. Here at least the meals were excellent and the service friendly and attentive. I shall be returning to try the normal menu and look forward to the revised wine list too.

Sunday roast this time and we can categorically say that this was the best roast we've had in years. Everything was perfect with S fabulous selection of vegetables including the side of cauliflower cheese with rosemary yet no room for dessert sadly. Staff were welcoming and friendly without being overwhelming. Highly recommended 👌

We had a lovely Sunday lunch in this quaint village pub in a very pretty village. Staff were very friendly. Good roast dinner, with lots of vegetables. The dinner was huge, which I found overwhelming, I would prefer vegetables served separately and not on my plate as with the gravy, served in jug not poured over my dinner. No doubt the big size would suit most people. Didn't manage to clear my plate and no room for pudding. Thoroughly enjoyed, thank you.

Lovely village pub, booked for a birthday celebration. The staff were very accommodating on table choice, and welcomed us taking a cake. It did take a long time to get our drinks. Sadly they only had one special left, but we were able to choose something else. Overall I would say it was on the expensive side for the food we got, but it was a really enjoyable evening, and they produced birthday cards for the two ladies celebrating.
