We were having a good time meal and drinks good and the whole experience was ruined as my daughter had her purse stolen from her handbag ! How did the person who carried out this act get past the bouncer on the door as the guy was poorly dressed and did look out of place as everyone was in the place celebrating Christmas . My daughter did run after the guy who for some reason stopped by the door which gave her the opportunity to confront him and get her purse back , she informed the bouncer who did not seem to bothered gave us the impression he did not care . Won’t be booking a table there again nasty experience

The restaurant was far too noisy and dirty. I was told to move twice even though the table was booked under my name. Getting drinks from the bar was impossible. I had many people served in front of me that arrived at the bar long after I had arrived. I would warn people not to book here unless you are a stag or hen do

Not worth visiting. Booked a table, was sat upstairs on a table which had to be cleaned up before we sat down, and then no one came to take our order. Popped downstairs to ask about service, was told someone would come. Gave up and left. Waste of time.

I read the reviews thoroughly before going here and although they were not great the main whinge's were around service. Worth a try I thought and was right. The food is good both in quality and portion sizes. The service is fine but could be improved. The main issue is that they are trying to be a bar and a restaurant and a club. Although the club is separate the bar and restaurant are integrated. Our waitress went off to investigate a few things about the booking and specials. Unfortunately she seemed to be serving behind the bar a few minutes later while we waited for her to return so we could order. Clearly they need to find a way to separate the functions so the staff are not having to deal with competing demands. If they manage that then this would be a great place rather than just good.

overall nice location. Food average. Too noisy for a chat, so would not recommend - you have to shout to be heard

I made a reservation for 4 persons through 'opentable' last Saturday evening. As me and my partner arrived eventhough we mentioned that we had a reservation they didn't listen and asked us to wait. When the waiting was over 10mins, my partner went to the manager and raised it again. They said they were clearing the tables and they gave us a table for 2.
I kept repeating our booking but it was although he was not listening and kept saying this is all they had. Finally I got his attention and said 'we made a booking for 4'. He then requested for the email confirmation as they didn't have our reservation. He said that he will check and come back to us. He never returned and nobody was willing to speak to us or atleast say they have made a mistake and they are sorry. By then my friends had arrived, we left the place thoroughly disappointed at their customer service

Our visit to The Long Acre bar and restaurant was to meet up with friends. Orders are made and paid for at the bar and food brought to the table. Service was fine and staff advised a tour group were due in so we placed our order fairly quickly. The starters were tasty and of a good size - calamari, baked Camembert, bread (only olive bread served) and popcorn chicken. The mains were disappointing with a very dry risotto and chips which could have been crispier. Beers were as expected with a nice Prosecco available. Pop in for a drink and snack during the day.

We had booked a table for ten people and when we turned up had been given a space for four - however this was rectified when we brought it to the attention of the venue.

Whilst we were waiting for the remaining members of our party to turn up the staff were attentive but we then struggled to grab their attention, which was probably because this was more like a bar/pub than somewhere you’d go to eat. However, the staff were friendly enough.

The biggest gripe was it is nothing like the website or how described. It felt like we were eating in the middle of a club - the music was loud and there was even a shot girl who was walking around. Not great for a get together.

We went for dinner, but the place turned out to be a bar first and foremost. Food was poor. Burger way over-cooked. Chicken and ham pie ok.

Despite saying on the email confirmation that under 18's would not be admitted after 7.30pm, under 18s aren't allowed in at all on Saturday.........VERY DISAPPOINTED seeing as we had booked as a birthday treat after seeing Matilda....poor show Scarlets, poor show.

We went as we had 50% of vouchers, we were disappointed by the service as there were countless items that they did not have but didnt tell us this before ordering... so we would order an alternative only to be told we couldnt have that either. At least 5-6 items not available, i wouldnt have minded if they had told us intially what was not available.

We had a great evening , our table was ready as soon as we entered, the staff explained all about the happy Hour for Cocktails . We were on the first floor seated at a table for 2 where we could people watch and watch the staff mixing the cocktails, and weren't they busy.... Meal was really good food was very tasty . The staff were very attentive to our requirements so felt really welcomed. Would highly recommend

Scarlet's was really good. The staff was very helpful and found a table for 8 people INSPITE THE FACT THAT OPENTABLE DIDN'T SEND THEM THE RESERVATION!

Scarlet's staff did their best to accommodate the whole group though. I will recommend Scarlet's, but I won't use OpenTable for bookings again.

We arrived for dinner only to be told that a lot of the items were off the menu because they'd run out of food. If it was a late seating then I'd understand but we got there just before 7pm. As a result of this my boyfriend and I left and found somewhere else to eat. Not impressed

I booked this for a Sunday brunch with friends at 11/11:30am. When I arrived, the restaurant was closed and it didn't open at the time of our booking or anytime soon thereafter! Terrible service that they accepted my booking and didn't say they weren't going to be open. I had to go elsewhere!

Despite OpenTable confirmation, the staff told us they were fully booked and had no table for us. Fairly poor experience

The decor is cool, we loved the cocktails & the drinks were reasonably priced for London. I loved the atmosphere and couldn't fault any of the staff who were all super friendly and attentive. We would definitely return for a good night of drinking! The reason for my average rating (which I feel bad about) is the food was a big let down, our starters were okayish - garlic Rosemary bread was just about edible, & calamari was nice. We ordered the Wagyu burgers which sadly was not to expectations, it was chewy, and bacon stringy. Some of the chips were over cooked and some were undercooked & raw in the middle. Thankfully we weren't all that hungry anyway because we were full from the cocktails but wish we had spent the money on more drinks instead.

Not exactly a typical Italian restaurant. Very loud music, but fun. And that's what they do well. Food was nice, drinks strong, and the staff really executes and works hard.

Booked a table for 12 people for a March lunchtime, which you would think was attractive business for them. Despite front of house being quiet we were put in a less convivial back room with one totally inadequate portable heater, it was freezing. I ordered sausage and mash to be later told they had accidentally tipped all the mash on the kitchen floor so would I have chips. Asian chicken skewers were inedible, and we are still trying to work out why the chicken main was described as "smashed" - it just looked grilled. Poor ambience and a poor offering. Dont waste your money here.

I booked dinner for 7 friends at Scarlet's for pre-theatre last week for my birthday. I had read the reviews online, but nowhere did they mention that this is actually a music club for young people and that the food is actually secondary to the reason for going there. I nearly died when I walked in and couldn't even hear the waiter asking for my name. The staff were lovely and did their best by putting us on a table upstairs in a corner which was about one decibel quieter than the rest of the room. The food was just ok. The noise was ridiculous. The young people down below seemed to be enjoying their cocktails with skulls and fizzing sparklers, but I do not recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for some decent conversation during a meal. What a mistake!

A group of 9 of us went to Scarlet's for Sunday lunch and it was delightful. The atmosphere was quiet and cozy even though it is on a fairly busy street. The food was superb, everyone really enjoyed their meals. The staff was very friendly and nice, instantly making us feel welcome. I would definitely recommend Scarlet's to anyone.

I was very impressive with the staff and how warm I was received! The food was good, nice drinks, excellent offers for cocktails (almost £25 saving) and good food and AMAZING music!!! The DJ was incredible! I would definetly recommend.
