The Lola is a social scene, not a culinary delight. The steak was grilled well, but they were out of fish and some other items on the COVID-19 Menu. The chicken wings were fried well but had no flavor. Nice place to grab a beer before you catch a hockey game.
The setting and ambiance are great. The staff is friendly and accommodating with suggestions. The food was... Not great. They were out or didn't have about three things I had requested. As a vegetarian, this made the menu a little more complicated and limited. My guest's food was also lacking in flavor (toasts and burger). Parking is a nightmare with paid parking and the COVID vaccination site. You'll pay and get the parking amount deducted from your bill. Be sure to ask your waiter!
Absolutely love The Lola! Always greatt food and great time!
Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but my expectations were higher than what I got. I feel the meal I got, I could have gotten at any breakfast place. I wanted Poached Eggs, but those weren't an option. My husband got the Chicken & Waffles, and said the waffle was good, but the chicken was just OK. Another party at our table got the toast board and that actually looked pretty awesome. Still, worth checking out for yourself.
Service was bad, we could not get waited on. The place was dirty with paper/ trash on the floor . Left and went next door to Bar Louie and had a good meal with great service
Food was good, service was good. Music was a bit loud to carry on a conversation.
Blackened salmon wad delicious! Service was awesome!
Too loud, took way too long to get our overpriced drinks, very expensive for what you get. Wouldn’t go again.
Servers are great. The menu had a great variety and we got unlimited mimosas for brunch. Great for girls day or a celebration. I would recommend.
CHECK YOUR BILL!!! All drinks were mispriced and, extra food was added!!!
Got seated for our reservation at the right time. Got seated outside, which wasn't a problem. For at least 15 minutes, we never saw our waiter, the waitress from an adjacent section came and at least apologized, said hi and got us waters.
Once our waiter finally showed up, we ordered drinks. 2 Micro Brews, a glass of house cab and a "signature" watermelon cocktail. After about 10 minutes, he came back and said, we don't have either beer, and we are out of the watermelon drink. Ok, I so ask for a microbrew lager, and the waiter suggests bud light, uhhhhh. No thanks.
We ordered some food, chefs board, and hummus. They are out of hummus, ok fine, toasted ravioli. Food wasn't horrible. But we did get 2 chefs boards, and they were both different. One had swiss cheese and no fruit, the other had fruit and cheddar.
CHECK YOUR BILL!!! They charged us for the highest priced cab, over charged for both beers, and kept the hummus on the bill. I pointed out the problems, and the waiter thought he should argue with me, that all the prices are right. So I pulled up the online menu again and showed him prices and then he relented and agreed to fix it. He brought back another tables check, then came back again finally got our check, right. They obviously do this all the time, check your ticket against the menu prices!! Obviously they are used to people running out to games and not checking. The waiter doesn't set the prices in the computer, so obviously people higher up are endorsing this tactic.
Oh, and the mens bathroom was a joke, the sink is full of paper towels, one of the faucets flew off when I tried to turn it on, and the towl dispenser was ripped off the wall!
Typical Westgate, I hoped something new and fairly well rated might change the trend for this area, nope, still mediocre across the board (and borderline illegal pricing scheme!)
Service was great. Music was way too loud. Price seemed a little high for the value.
Great time with friends although it was warmer inside than it was outside we had a great time
I think the food could be better. We had the pancake platter, the traditional breakfast, pineapple mimosa. The platter could've been more put together and gave better presentation. The eggs were tasteless and warm. I could tell they were pre cooked and just sitting on a heater. The potatoes were ok but could've been hotter. I feel like the food wasn't cooked to order but pretty cooked so it gives that blah taste. The mimosa was flat and didn't have a kick to it. Our table was uneven and had to place something under it. Looking around more tables seem to be like that so they do need to upgrade their tables. We had a booth which didn't have any light and was dark at 10:30am..smh..it's something to experience but nothing to brag about
Our waitress we had was alright she could of done better she never came to check on us she was pretty busy with other people unfortunately, I believe her name was Nicole Sorry if I’m wrong, but someone else came and started helping us his energy was amazing he was fun and happy to look at he was very happy and helpful. He cracked jokes with us and made us feel welcomed he definitely need a raise his name was Cory I believe he has blond hair and he’s from Alaska, he’s amazing.
Love the Lola. Wish there was more servers so ours could check on us more. Also sat by misters that kept leaking on our food, us and into our drinks. But over all love this place for brunch!
Usually the food is great but not sure if this was an off day. Our food came out within 15mins of us ordering which we thought was kinda quick but weren’t upset until we realized it was cold. My waffle was cold and hard like it wasn’t fresh. That’s my only complaint. I like the place just wasn’t sure what was going on that day.
Had a great time! Took my best friend for brunch who was visiting from out of town. Food was amazing and Sangria fish bowl was exceptional. Will be back.
The boards for brunch are so cute and delicious. Definitely a young crowd.
Went to celebrate my birthday, half of the menu was out and the service was not good at all. We stayed to listen to music but no one ever came to the table to ask if we wanted drinks or water, nothing. Not happy about this experience.
Good food. We sat on the patio. Waitress was good but clearly had too many tables so getting her attention was sometimes difficult.
I wish I could tell you about the food but don’t know because the service was so bad. We were excited to try The Lola because the menu looked fun. We had guests from out of town which made the experience all the more embarrassing. We arrived at 10:15 for brunch and we’re seated inside. It was not busy at all. From there it was all downhill. A few minutes later the server took our drink order. At 10:30 coffee was served lukewarm and tasted like it was made around 7 am and had been sitting all morning. Our server did not return to our table until about 10:45 so I couldn’t even ask for a fresh cup.
At this point we said forget it as it was clear this was going to be a bad experience that was getting worse so we left. We then went to Hash Kitchen which is about 5 minutes away and had a great meal.
I was disappointed with the table location for having made a reservation and being placed in the hallway.
The food was decent, the drinks delicious. I would definitely try again, as long as seating was better
Fun family atmosphere
When we arrived there was a long line and they said they weren't honoring reservations that day because servers called out sick. Once we were seated it sounded like a club inside with extremely loud music playing. Worst of all, they were out of 97% of items on their menu. We ordered drinks and showed our server the specific drinks on the menu, and she still brought the incorrect ones. We paid for the drinks and left and ate elsewhere. Wouldn't recommend.
Made reservations, still had to wait in line. When asked they said they were short staffed so even with a reservation you had to wait.
Went somewhere else , didn’t want to give them more work if they were under staffed.
We had reservations and when we arrived the hostesses were very rude and said that they were closing and that that would not honor our reservation. They made zero effort to be polite or even apologetic. They blamed it on OpenTable.
First time dinning at the Lola & definitely not the last, 10/10 would recommend!!! Everything was amazing. Good food, good service what more could you ask for?!? Overall my party of 9 left all very satisfied!
Our waitress was terrible charged us wrong/ we asked her for the sides of what we ordered and never got them. She didn’t check up on us. We had to call over another waiter to help us out.
we went for Sunday brunch and arrived towards the beginning of service before it got too busy. We had to ask for everything we needed (multiple times). We got the bottomless mimosas and the first bottle of champagne they brought wasn't chilled, they brought the food out but we had to ask twice for knives to be able to eat it and by the time they came the food was cold. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with an over medium egg and the egg had broken before it made it to the sandwich so I missed out on the yolk flavor. the side of ketchup provided was only 1/3 of the ramekin and it took two asks to get more ketchup so I ate cold, plain fries. We also had to flag someone down 15 minutes after finishing our first bottle of champagne to get another, even though it was flipped upside down in the ice bucket.
I am not sure if the brunch was new to open or return which is why the staff and food quality was poor but hopefully they are able to turn it around soon as the location is great and atmosphere and decor are wonderful
Wish unlimited mimosas lasted longer!
They were out of over half the menu, which is already reduced. I had to choose a wine 3x, two of the apps we tried to order were unavailable, the toasts we ordered were subpar, and then they didn’t have two of the mains. We left after the toast because it wasn’t good and went somewhere else. The service was good, except she didn’t know what they didn’t have.
Great service!! Was very patient with us, we had group of 20 and only booked for 12 and they were totally ok with it, made room, was very polite.
I had very high expectations for this restaurant, but when we got there it was not what I expected at all. We went for dinner, a party of 8 for my birthday celebration. It took about 30 minutes to get our drinks, and one of my friends didn't get his drink until another 20 minutes when they brought him something that he didn't even order..
Then we ordered our appetizers and meals at the same time expecting the appetizers to come out first. We waited about 45 minutes and all the food came out at once. One friend ordered the salmon and cauliflower rice, but it came with quinoa instead, which she can't have and sent it back. Another one of my friend's never got his meal.. The food and drinks themselves were good. Just had to wait awhile and then they were out of 3 different types of beer.
We talked to the manager who told us it was the kitchens fault... and then gave us 25% off. However it would have been nice to know what was going on with our order while we were waiting, and the server should have asked if the substitutions were okay before just bringing it out to us.
I might go back and try this place for breakfast/brunch, but my dinner experience was not great.
Only our 2nd time here. It was pre- pandemic. Much has gone down since last time.
A very reduced menu. Not much to chose from ( variety of toasts?) None of them were good. Pretty expensive, loud rap music - we could not escape from it. Sitting on patio.
Will not return. Disappointing, as we really liked Lola the first time.
This place was dirty! The booth was ripped and had holes in it. The bathroom smelled nasty and trash all over the floors. Our waiter was definitely on some kind of illegal drugs. He could not keep our order straight, forgot to refill our water. Alcohol was expensive. Fun atmosphere but we were stuck in the back corner. Just ordered appetizers and a board. Nothing to brag about but the food was good. Pineapple churros are delicious!
Good food, amazing service, and super fun atmosphere. There is a reason why their reservations fill up so quickly! It a great place for a celebration. They have a ton of drink options, play music (loud but that's part of the ambiance), and everyone who works there is super friendly and attentive.
The food amazing, drinks wonderful and not watered down, our server Cody was absolutely amazing and made my friends birthday beyond awesome thank you for an amazing experience.
If you like the night club vibe, this is your place. Drinks are good, reasonably priced, and fun environment. Pictures seemed to be a little deceiving when it came to how the restaurant looked, I didn’t expect it to be a club/bar atmosphere. But it was a very fun place!
Trip to start out day with a late brunch. Great place and food was excellent
