The food is really good. The service is really poor. It was not very busy so there was no reason to have such poor service. This is a very convenient location for the Gila Arena but there are plenty of other places to eat in this same area. I probably won’t go back.
As a Cardinals season ticket holder for several years, I've visited most Westgate restaurants on a Cardinals gameday either before or after the game. This past weekend we tried the Lola - and probably won't be back. I made a reservation for a party of 4 about 2 weeks prior to our visit. I was contacted 2 times prior to the reservation to confirm we were still coming. Celebrating a birthday, we arrived at 10:30am and were told our table would be ready in a few minutes. While waiting, I observed the hostess speaking with several walk-in parties, and they were all being given random wait times (1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours), I guess whatever times the hostess felt would discourage people from trying to come in. Understandably it was busy, and I am very familiar with the gameday atmosphere at Westgate - but it is apparent the Lola is not equipped to handle a reservation system on gameday. After 30 minutes of waiting, we spoke with another staff member and attempted to figure out when we would be seated. There was some comment about how the manager doesn't have time limits on tables and shouldn't be taking reservations on gameday (we agree!!) and we were finally seated by about 11:10, 40 minutes after our confirmed reservation time. This delay derailed our schedule and so we did not have the meal we'd planned on, as we needed to leave and get to the stadium on time. The appetizers we did order were tasty. One round of shots took about 20 minutes to arrive. There is a 20% event surcharge added to the bill on gamedays, FYI. There's a small chance we would try the Lola on a non-gameday, but the experience left us feeling like we'll likely spend our money elsewhere in the future.
Amazing service during a Cardinals game day!! Bar staff was really on top of it!! Food and Drinks came fast and prices are equal to the quality of of food they have.
45 minute wait for a table with a reservation? WTF is the point of a reservation then? We heard the people in front of us at the hostess stand say they did not have a reservation and were quoted the same wait time. We walked through the restaurant to see if we could find a seat at the bar, and the whole place was insanely loud, dark, and gross looking. The misters on the patio were aggressive. Not a good experience, do not recommend wasting your time here
Great vibe! Or appetizer (that we ordered first) came out after we finished our entrees.. wish we would have been asked if we still wanted it since we had completely finished eating but it is what it is. Still really enjoyed the food we had and the vibe.
We were sat at a very small table right under the speaker. It was too loud to even carry on a conversation. We did not stay. We went somewhere else
I have been to the Lola multiple times. They play great music from the early 2000s. The food is always amazing. The music was very very loud at times, and then it would be turned down, and the constant change in volume was distracting. The last time I sat in a booth there were a lot of cracks in the upholstery, and last night there was a section of floor with no tables, and it just seemed off. These are just things that stick out to me because I’ve been going there since the beginning. Overall, I love going to the Lola, and I always take my friends there when we hang out. Cocktails are over priced.
I was underwhelmed
I’m pretty sure I was overcharged. We order the yogurt parfait, pineapple churros, chicken fried steak and a Pepsi and it was $55 and then I left $10 tip, I didn’t want to say anything at the time because I was treating a friend but on the menu the cost was yogurt parfait $15, pineapple churros $10 and chicken fried steak $16 plus a soda so I’m not sure how the total got so high. I should have checked the receipt but I handed the waitress my card before I even looked.. my fault but still disappointed. Otherwise the food, atmosphere and our waitress were all great.
You need to request Cody as your server, he was the best, he made it fun and gave us the best suggestions. We love Cody....
Had a great time server was amazing she made sure we were doing well and everything was cook right she was amazing
Food was good seems more like a Sunday brunch place than lunch on a weekday but otherwise good.
Really fun drinks, great food, and fun atmosphere! Really close to other bars to walk to after dinner.
I had a tempura vegetables as an appetizer. Was good. The sweet chili ranch was really good. My date had the chicken wrap and I had the Lola burger. Chicken wrap was good ingredients were fresh. The aïoli burger was really good the meat was very tasty. We went during happy hour the drinks are reasonably priced. Music was kind of loud but other than that I would return
Service sucks here. Try to get my server attention and got ignored too much
It was very hot inside.. They had the fans going and they said the air was on, but it didn't feel like it was. They explained that it was because of the amount of people and people going in an out of the restaurant. That had to be the worst part which overruled everything. The food was good, drinks were good, music was good, service was good, but it was so hot that I did not enjoy myself.
Good vibe - slightly too loud but overall good. Service was a bit lacking. Food wasn’t as good as I expected based on “best brunch” reviews it’s received - it was good but not great. I was mostly disappointed in their total lack of effort in appealing to a variety of diets and customer types. I inquired about both dairy free milk options for coffee (only have cream), along with gluten free toast options (literally wheat and white are the only options). Highly recommend they consider this for the future if they want to stay relevant.
This place is very overrated and the line is clearly out the door because of the hype. The food is served cold because it’s precooked, the waiters are rude and the music was meh. I’m not understanding what’s so special about this place and why there’s always a wait.
Also the portions are SO small yet it’s super pricey. You’re better off going to yard house where they make the food fresh and you get your money’s worth.
Drinks and food was very good. Highly recommend their boards and toasts.
Everything was fine except the music was super loud even sitting outside and it took a long time to get our waitress to bring our check. Would still go again.
Seats in booths all ripped and torn, bathroom was filthy, tiles broken off wall. Too bad could be a go to place, however while the food was ok I wont go back
Great 1st experience. Will definitely go back and refer people❤️
Only con was the chairs were uncomfortable. Probably would like a bigger menu
3:00 pm, not busy… with blasting music. Food was decent. We ordered bottomless mimosas, with a warm carafe of each cranberry juice and orange juice, a bucket with minimal ice and a chilled bottle of champagne.
Food was great! Can’t wait to go back! Great place to catch up with friends and have some drinks.
This place is way to loud. And wasn’t impressed by the seating, the seats are torn.
Overall would not recommend for special occasions as our experience was not pleasant. We ordered drinks and a chessboard. Drink ordered was advertised a certain way, the drink we received did not match that description. When we asked our waiter to please correct the issue he seemed annoyed.
Was not impressed. Heard so much about this place. Menu for brunch was second to other places we have tried (i.e Hash Kitchen, Tryst, OhSo, and more) and this place left me needing more. Pushy server wanting us to move fast at 915am (and they weren't busy) to limited menu. 5 people ≈ 150 bill. (3 French toast, 1 traditional, and 1 chicken+waffles) no good egg options. No eggs Benedict, no huevos rancheros, their Brut is sweet and not good. Just not impressed. Won't be back.
Good food. Service is awesome and they take reservations. Drinks are awesome
My coworkers and I made a reservation for brunch and everything went perfectly. We arrived at our reservation time which was 11am I think that was a great time to be there. We immediately were seated and we had an amazing time!!
Servers need more training on what is on the menu and drinks that are available.
Fun atmosphere, good service it was just really hot in there.
Our appetizers arrived, but we were still waiting for silverware. We asked three times, before finally getting them, only to find just a fork and no knife or spoon.
Food was mediocre at best. No taste. Absolutely blunt!
The waiter was too busy to offer drink refills or deserts.
Place was overated. Service was good but the food wasn't that great. The lobster Mac had small portions with a sprinkle of lister on it. Never going back.
Live music was cool. All the food tasted good as well.
I loved this area! The design and employees work so hard and made sure all meals were at satisfaction for customers. I will definitely go back again soon
We were initially sat at a table semi close to the door and then asked to move per a birthday party had reserved that table which is totally fine however they moved us to a table off to the side and it was extremely hot. we felt no air circulation at all making it hard to enjoy the rest of our time here.
We had a great time there celebrating my birthday, just wished they wiuld had told us about the AC being down. It was really hot so we finished eating and had to go somewhere else to continue. Other than that it was great our server was awesome!
It was 112 degrees outside when we went, and yet there was no air conditioning inside! Music was super loud, so I lost my voice talking with friends at my table. Food was good. Probably won’t be back because of the sweat/lack of AC and the noise level.
