Servers were rude and food was cold. Would not be returning
Our server Cody was the best! He was super attentive, fun, & genuinely enjoyed doing his job! He’s definitely the main reason I’m coming back again!
A friend had recommended the Lola after she attended an event there. My husband and I went for dinner and it was extremely loud, it took 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us after being seated by a hostess, and the food was bland and overpriced.
Peter is the beat server to get!! He was so amazing and hospitable! We loved him!
Perfect brunch experience with my sisters! Food and service was great!!
Loved our waiter! He made the experience really nice. Even made me a birthday dessert!
For the cost the food is okay. Been there a few times and never had a amazing meal. Drink specials are good though that’s why we go back! And the service is good too!
Awesome brunch! The bacon board was a big hit.
Had a great time! Great food, drinks and atmosphere!
Service was fantastic, mimosas were awesome, food was just okay. Great place to connect with friends.
The food was terrible and the service was even worse. Will not be returning.
We went on a Tuesday night and the restaurant was at less than 10% capacity. The immediate service was good with seating, menus, and ordering drinks. One issue with the drinks - my wife ordered a dirty martini and they brought her a cosmopolitan. That happens, but when they took it back it took them a long time to come back and finally tell her they didn’t have any olives. She settled for a glass of wine. I simply ordered a draft beer and that was quick and cold, just as expected. As for the food, it took a while to serve after ordering. That’s understandable, but unexpected seeing as they were not very busy. I has the chicken and waffles which was Excellent! I would order it again. My wife had grilled chicken dinner and was not impressed with the flavor.
Overall, our first experience at the Lola was good, but definitely has room for improvement.
Our brunch was great! Our server Cody was incredible and the cutest person ever! The food was amazing and our bottomless mimosas were perfect! Great morning for sure. And definitely recommend brunch!
Reservation was made for 8:45 am and I received a phone call to confirm my reservation for 8:45 am. We got there at 8:40 and was informed the restaurant wasn’t open until 9 am. The food took a while to come. Our server did not come around to see if we needed refills on our drinks.
Over the years I have become a bit particular with culinary experiences and this restaurant is not for those who share that passion. Many things were disjointed and did not arrive as described in the menu, both food and drinks alike. The atmosphere is also incredibly eclectic in nature and would do well to pick a unifying theme throughout. I personally will not return.
Tasty Chicken Fried Steak and Chicken and Waffles Brunch.
We were so impressed with Lola. Can't wait to go back. The food was incredible!
Bottomless mimosas and great atmosphere made for a perfect birthday brunch!
Great food best service nice location
Great food for great price. Good service and our reservation was originally for 6 people but 3 more showed up and we were accommodated with no issue
We were really excited about our reservation and had been looking forward to celebrating our friends wedding anniversary for several weeks.
Everything was going fine until our food was brought out. Everyone got their entree except one of us who was waiting on their steak and eggs. We saw a server take steak and eggs to another table who had already finished their meal. The party accepted the dish and a few minutes later our server approached the party who said they didn’t order the dish which she took back to the kitchen while telling the other server that he took the dish to the wrong table. Seconds later another server comes out with the same steak and eggs plate that had just been brought back to the kitchen and brings it to our table. We asked if it was the same dish that the other server had just taken from the other party’s table and she said “yes but they said they didn’t touch it so it should be ok”. Then she says “but I can take it back and ask them to make you a new one if you’d like?”. In the world of Covid - or ever, why would we want to eat food that sat with and was already breathed on by another group of people?
To us, this wasn’t like a “oh we made your order wrong let us correct it” kind of poor experience. This was a “we chose to do the wrong, lazy and unsanitary thing because we don’t take accountability for our actions” type of experience. The food should’ve never been re-served in the first place. We shouldn’t have had to call the server out for doing the wrong thing.
The manager came to speak with us later about it but honestly nothing could rectify that experience. She offered 20% off and removed another entree that we had to send back. We paid for the food we ate but we won’t return. We are so disgusted by what those servers did and their conscious choice to re-serve food. We all are industry workers and we are never allowed to re-serve food if it’s taken to the wrong table because that’s unsanitary. Clearly, Lola has different values.
Seems like they are going for the place that serves the overflow from the rest of Westgate.
Drinks take a long time to prepare. Olives in the martini were stale/old. The Woodchopper drink (essentially a Manhattan with smoked rosemary) was less exciting...and difficult to drink without any ice.
Nothing Farm to Table about the menu. Very plain. Tempura veggies were soggy.
Ambiance was confusing....was it a bar/restaurant/night club???? The booths are comfortable and give you the impression of privacy, but the table of eight in front of our booth was positioned so that everyone was staring at the booth. Not very private or intimate.
Went for a birthday dinner horrible choice. Out of multiple items on menu. Food was the worst I had in AZ. Brunch is supposed to be good.
Just OK. Not busy yet other places nearby were packed to capacity. It’s because the food is sub-par. Tasted like it was frozen. Their “toast” assortment which is supposed to be a menu favorite is literally just bread with some stuff sitting on it. Flavorless and barely toasted. I wouldn’t go back.
Even though I had a reservation, we were sat and ignored for about 20 mins until a wonderful server noticed and requested that our table be transferred to her so that she could serve us. She was amazing, and the reason I’m not leaving a 1-star review is due to her wonderful service and attentiveness afterwards. The Lola in general was packed, each table full and close to another, and not in accordance with CDC guidelines, despite their website claiming otherwise. Pre-COVID19, I did not mind how busy The Lola would get, however the capacity of this place during the pandemic does concern me.
Good food, nothing extraordinary. Waiter had his mask under the nose...
The go to Brunch spot on the Westside
Cody our waiter was amazing! We were a group of 10 and he didn’t skip a beat! He gave us good food recommendations and had us laughing!
I originally had requested a table of 7 and unfortunately 2 of our guests had to bring their kids. When I informed the hosts and apologized for the additional 3 kids. I did feel like I was being scolded about not calling in advance regarding the change of guests. Instead of being “we will see what we can do but in the future let us know.” I just was repeatedly reminded I should’ve called.
Our table was ready when we got there, which is a plus. The only reason they received a lower rating is because of the food. It definitely wasn’t worth the price that we paid. I got that feedback from all 9 people who went with me.
Fun, good value, a bit of a wait to get dessert/service but we are under strange circumstances... maybe they were short staffed
First time going The burgers and drinks were great and to top it off the service was spectacular. Everyone was so nice
The website and brochure are deceiving. An absolute horrible experience and was communicated to the manager.
Lola is a sports bar posing as a high end sophisticate fusion eatery. We made dinner reservations for 3, dressed for a sophisticated evening only to run into 'this/that' dive.
The food was not even bar quality. Had their interpretation of fettucine, tasteless. Salmon was on the menu but they had run out. Drinks were just barely average. Again, the brochure and website were very misleading.
My advice is for Lola to revamp their business model. Either be a sports bar or a fusion eatery for the sophisticated crowd. They missed horribly on both.
Better food for the pricing can be found elsewhere.
went here for my birthday. the food was okay, but didn't match the menu descriptions. great drinks. okay service. would go back!
Good food and service. Some items were definitely overpriced liked the drinks. We got the drink that comes in a pineapple and it definitely was more ice then liquid.
Really cute place with great servers. The drinks menu is fun and all the drinks were delicious, but the food was not good.
We ordered shrimp ceviche and it wasn't even decent. They came in such tiny portions and was more like pico rather than ceviche. The flavor was also lacking completely.
We also ordered a few toast, which were okay, but also lacking flavor.
Overall it’s a place I’d come back to hang out just for drinks
such a fun and cute place! I like the variety of the menu too
Absolutely a awesome mimosas and food at reasonable prices! Definitely make a reservation if you want to enjoy The Lola. We will be back!
Great service, fun drink menu and an amazing location.
This place really stepped it up great food awesome drink specials
