The Log Cabin is an upscale restaurant specializing in fine farm-to-table cuisine, specialty cocktails and wines. The historic structure dates back more than 100 years and was once used as a Speakeasy before opening officially as a restaurant in 1933, after the Repeal of Prohibition. Since then, the Log Cabin has become a Lancaster County tradition, playing host to countless birthdays, anniversaries, business events and celebrations of all kinds.

The service and the ambience were really excellent for a special occasion. The food was very good but my husband thought his steak was ok, but not the best he has ever had. We would go for a special occasion only as it’s very expensive.

As always, the food and service was excellent. Edward was our server, and he delivered on all angles. Food was nicely present and yummy too. We try to visit The Log Cabin 2 -3 times a year. Many THANKS for giving us a lovely evening.

We picked the Log Cabin because we wanted to celebrate summer birthdays within our family. We have been to the Log Cabin numerous times. We were disappointed in the menu. It seemed that they were trying too hard. Nothing was there for a regular, deconstructed diner. ie: they had scallops but they were made into cakes with fish? We all chose something at the end of the menu listed as Specialty Cuts. They were all extremely expensive, $68-$78 each. We are not clueless, we understand that The Log Cabin offers a cut above the rest of the restaurants in Lancaster County and surrounding area. However, they should be reviewing their menu and considering their location, perhaps offering local sourced items? Our service was Fabulous! The waitress and all of her assistants were all top notch.

We ate on the outside patio. The weather was delightful and the food and drinks were delicious. I had oysters and the scallop and cod cake She had Thai chili chicken.

Had a wonderful birthday dinner with my sisters in booth room. Food is great, staff were great and very informative. Music was very relaxing and enjoyable. Overall great experience! I would only mention so others are aware as I am vision impaired; its very dark inside so be sure to ask if you need assistance.

The Executive Chef impressed us with their selection, presentation, and taste. The food knocked our socks off, and would be comparable to Michelin one-star establishments. The smoked old fashioned cocktail impressed, but not nearly as much as the bone marrow, pork belly, and bread for the table paired beautifully with Chateauneuf-du-Pape, which were all well contrasted with the fried calamari. For entrees, two in our party split the 21-day dry aged 16 ounce ribeye and they still left with doggie bags. (No disappointments, as it was great the next day too!) And the potatoes!! OMG! The fried mashed potatoes with the beef were to die for! The scallop and cod cake was very very good, as well as the sides. But the real winner was the ossobucco!! On a bed of green beans and potatoes and cooked with lardons, our party agreed that this was the winner of the night. The desserts and coffee were very very good. The excellence of the food was punctuated by the homey friendliness of the wait staff who did a wonderful job, made us feel at home, and avoided the mechanical service of many fine dining establishments. The service was very, very good, but quite friendly! All-in, this was a wonderful experience that was expensive, yes, but worth every penny (and quite the deal compared to comparable fine dining options in urban areas or other destination locations. Highly recommended!!
